My Bali vacation was interesting. The next day we checked in was Nyepi, New Year’s Day on Balinese calendar. Everyone stays home and turn off the lights. We had to stay inside. It is the day of complete silence on Bali, known as Nyepi. It began on Thursday, March 19 at 5:59 a.m. and lasted for 24 hours. Everyone on the island must remain indoors (I mean, EVERYONE), turn off the lights, and observe silence. All of the flights stopped. All businesses close and schools shut down. I experienced Nyepi in 2018 and chose this hotel because we could enjoy swimming pool in a big hotel. We also played bingo and beer fishing. My friend’s enjoyed kids club and made sandwiches art!! Lunch was Sangria, French fries and sandwiches at Pool Bar. So fun! And I could read books and a magazine. We enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you, Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort!!

Everything was available at the resort or at the doorstep. Didn’t want to leave

The staff at the Courtyard are FABULOUS. They always greet you with a smile and are very helpful. They will go out of their way to help you. The hotel was great and our room was big.
