I really like the facilities provided in that you have the option to prepare your own meals, or dine in the hotel restaurant. Also the rooms are ample in size and very modern in style. I find the only drawback was the off-site parking which while discounted, is still somewhat inconvenient.

Stayed in 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. Comfortable beds. Very spacious. Just disappointed the spa was out of order. Indoor pool was nice but a couple degrees warmer would have been good.

very happy with the hotel. the only thing difficult is about parking. they dont offer any on site parking and you cannot pull up in front of the hotel in your car. you mush park your car first offsite or to be dropped off away from the hotel on arrival.

Breakfast great! Location top notch, close to everything ( shops, restaurants, wharf to catch ferry, Sydney opera house, darling harbour bridge, Chinatown)! Housekeeping really good, they made our beds everyday! Down side was the pool was closed for repair. This is school holiday, kids want to swim too. Overall we definitely coming back.

Great location for where I needed to go to the ICC theatre. Staff were nice and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Was a little disappointed , lots of rust in the pool area. Had trouble connecting to the chromecast even after following instructions provided.

Needs better cleaning, hair and noodles in the kitchen sink, it smelt in the bathroom as they’re was no fan. The pool, spa and sauna was nice, but even that needed a good clean and had a bad smell. Traffic noise. A hair on one of the glass cups in the bathroom. Reception lady told us our room was ready, when we got there a worker was still cleaning the windows. The bed was comfy even the pillows, the breakfast was great and the area was clean. The staff in the breakfast area were nice. The $10 discount off breakfast for opted out of housekeeping was good. Luggage storage provided, 24 hour reception. Coffee, Coffee pods, range of teas and hot chocolate free in the room. The TV in the bedroom was good as well. Nice little balcony. In room safe.

Broken doors, mouldy all through the showers, dust everywhere, aircon vents full of dust, cigarette burn holes in the kitchen. Overall with how much you pay to stay in this apartment, id expect a lot more. The condition of the apartment was overall terrible.

Location was good near Darling Harbour. Hotel was a bit worn with some mould in our Bathroom. Pool was cold on one of the days and spa was out of order both days which was disappointing. Most upsetting was we booked for 2 adults and 1 child but did not receive a bed for the child. When we questioned the hotel they said we had to use existing bedfing or pay $80 per day for a roll away. They gsve us a sheet and blanket and child had to sleep on couch. Disappointing when you put in the search accommodation for 2 adults and 1 child.

This hotel is in a great location, easy walk to restaurants, grocery and transport. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. Reception sraff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely book this hotel in future.

The bathrooms are outdated and had mould under the silicone sealing. The water pressure was also very weak and the temperature was very very sensitive. Staff were lovely, property as a whole was clean and easy to access with a baby.

The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was dated and had a very poorly equipped kitchen. Lounge seating was very old and uncomfortable The TV was outdated and movie choice was very poor. The worst thing was the carpet was dirty and stained and there was food items found under the sofa. Also behind the bedside table was dust and rubbish from previous guests. On a positive note the bed linen was clean and fresh. Reception staff were helpful after our discussion.

After booking a double room we were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment which was amazing! Very spacious with a full equipped kitchen, separate dining area with seating for six and a generous lounge area. The main bedroom has a king bed and ensuite while the second bedroom has two single beds and another separate bathroom. The buffet breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the light rail, buses and Town Hall trains. There are plenty of cafes, hotels and bars to choose from and it is close to shops and major Sydney attractions. It is fast becoming our favourite hotel!

Be careful when booking for 5, I booked for the family and added ages of “children” (17,16,14). Paid for extra 5th person. Given a king and 2 singles. One daughter slept on the lounge, not even a sofa bed!!! 😡

Booked a 1 bedroom, asked if there was a sofa bed over the phone. No sofa bed, wanted me to pay $80 for a rollaway bed or have my 10 year old sleep on a love seat! They ended up proving the roll away bed free of charge but very misleading. I would not have booked the room if I knew there was no sofa bed.

We booked this hotel last minute due to a flight cancellation and it was an absolute god send. So much so, that I will be staying again if I ever return to Sydney. The room (2 bedroom apartment) was beautifully renovated, so spacious and well appointed. After a long flight, I was so grateful to come back to our spacious, modern apartment and even more grateful for its full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, the shower pressure wonderful. The room amenities well thought out. The buffet breakfast was divine, and I highly recommend adding it to your stay. My only suggestion is that when we booked the room it suggested it accommodated 6 people, but there was only bed options for 4 people. No sofa bed etc so our kids had to all share a bed - they offered a roll out bed but at a cost of $80 extra / night. So I would suggest changing the room to “sleeps 4 people” with option of roll away so people are aware to budget for this requirement. Otherwise, fabulous hotel and we will be back

Hotel was dated and needs major upgrades. Pool ceiling was rusty and paint peeling off. Not sound proofing on glass doors. Located in quite a busy neighbourhood with people yelling and cars racing at night. Good distance to Darling Harbour, Light Rail and shops.

The staff at concierge was very friendly and we were able to do an early check in, little did we realise we had been upgraded to another room (I didn’t know until I looked back at our booking). The room was amazing, clean and tidy and the bathroom was large with a shower big enough for two. Took us a while to get the air con how we wanted it but it was the best sleep we have had in a very long time. Comfy bed and amazing pillows. We will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel . 5 min walk to Darling Harbour . Round the corner to the tram to the harbour. The room itself was spacious and clean with great kitchen facilities , sofa and dining table. The bathroom was also large with toiletries supplied. The only thing that is missing is a bar in the hotel but to be honest there are lots of options in the location. The pool area was a bit grubby so we didnt use Would definitely recommend the hotel though and stay here again.

The most important part of any review is whether I would return and unfortunately I would not return to Rydges Darling Apartments. It was mediocre in terms of the property and very poor customer service. 1. Apartment hotel should have better kitchen and laundry facilities (this had no oven, no dishwasher, no washer or dryer). I looked in 10 drawers and cupboards (which were entirely empty) before finding a glass. It was poorly equipped. 2. Management are misleading...they run a system where you get a $10 daily credit for not getting your room serviced but the original flyer promise doesn't match the actual. It turned out it is only for use on food and beverage bill (didn't say restaurant or bar so I assumed any food or beverage) and when we tried to use it on a the mini-bar (which is food and beverage) they refused. On top of this, you're meant to be able to do 3 days running of the deal but on the third day they ignored the sign and came in and woke up my wife who was alone in the room. What was printed on the sign was different to what they actually do. Reception staff could not have cared less. 3. Reception lied to my wife. A friend of ours was meeting us to go to dinner and we asked for the restroom and was told there wasn't one and had to use our hotel room, yet there was one up the stairs by the bar. Management, employ frontline staff with a better customer service attitude and if you offer a deal, honour it fully. There are lots of better hotels in Sydney.

Management are misleading...they run a system where you get a $10 daily credit for not getting your room serviced but the original flyer promise doesn't match the actual. It turned out it is only for use on food and beverage bill (didn't say restaurant or bar so I assumed any food or beverage) and when we tried to use it on a the mini-bar (which is food and beverage) they refused. On top of this, you're meant to be able to do 3 days running of the deal but on the third day they ignored the sign and came in and woke up my wife who was alone in the room. What was printed on the sign was different to what they actually do. Reception staff could not have cared less. 3. Reception lied to my wife. A friend of ours was meeting us to go to dinner and we asked for the restroom and was told there wasn't one and had to use our hotel room, yet there was one up the stairs by the bar. Management, employ frontline staff with a better customer service attitude and if you offer a deal, honour it fully. There are lots of better hotels in Sydney.

Great location. Close to many food options and attractions. Stayed in room 508 and it was a nice updated queen queen room with kitchenette. Beds are comfortable. Service was great. Arrived early morning. There was free luggage storage and was given early check in by 12pm and late check out by 11:30pm. Would stay again.

Excellent property in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Walk to light rail and train. Close to QVB, Westfield and Chinatown. Best breakfast buffet and staff are pleasant, efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Checkin was a disaster. They charged me. My account was debited but because their system is archaic they claimed they had not received the money. 10 days later after multiple ph calls by me to my bank and the hotel the matter was finally sorted out. They said the issue was their system froze when they did the transaction and they knew it was an issue prior, they had said that they have had this issue at reception with a particular eftpos machine before.The hotel was ok but the service with regard to paying was 1980's. I should have paid cash. I have travelled the world over a 10 year period and never had such an issue. Will never stay there again. The accounts people bordered on rude and I had been advised by reception at the hotel that I would have to pay again and that the original debit would disappear from my bank account after 7 days but according to my bank it takes 30 days. So I would have been out of pocket $2000 for a month. No compensation was offered for an issue that was not me or my bank but the hotel. Simply not good enough.

Check-in very poor. Booked two x 2-brm apartments for family group which included a 3yr old and a 1yr old. Arrived 20 mins earlier than the 2pm check-in so asked if rooms were available and was assured that one room was, just waiting for housekeeping to finish. Sat down in lobby to wait. 2pm arrived and i just glimpsed young lady who had served us leaving for the day! No hand-over, no nothing. Approached guy who had taken over and he gave us the key to one room. The other was not going to be available for another hour because they’d had to ‘shampoo’ the carpets! (FYI, there was no evidence of this in the room). No apology either. I can overlook any shortcomings (like the broken bedroom tv or the keys that worked intermittently) if customer service is good, but not this time. The only saving grace is the luggage storage and the lovely, well-appointed apartments.

The staff at concierge was very friendly and we were able to do an early check in, little did we realise we had been upgraded to another room (I didn’t know until I looked back at our booking). The room was amazing, clean and tidy and the bathroom was large with a shower big enough for two. Took us a while to get the air con how we wanted it but it was the best sleep we have had in a very long time. Comfy bed and amazing pillows. We will definitely be back!

In my hotel room, 10:30am, walk out of the shower, ready for 11am check out. A staff knock on my door and then walked right in. Not enough time for me to step to the door and answer. She caught me in the middle of putting on clothes. Instead of apology, she ask if I had a late check-out arrangement!? Not sure how was her day, but not a nice start for me. Please ask staff to count to 10, if they are capable.

The customer service is 10/10! We stayed for a couple of nights for a staycay to celebrate my daughter's 6th birthday. Aryana & the team at Rydges went above & beyond to make her stay extra special. We were amazed with their generosity & kindness & Aryana was absolutely amazing! The hotel is a great location & walking distance to plenty of restaurants, attractions & public transport. The only down side is parking, so itself definitely better without a car but once again the staff accommodated us in making drop off/pick up of our bags easier as there is no where for the car to be parked in checking in/out. The pool was very clean & the room was a great size with unlimited amount of towels available for those swims. Would definitely stay again especially with the friendliness & fantastic customer service we received.

Rydges Darling Square is conveniently located to public transport, Chinatown, Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay. It was a very comfortable hotel that offered a spacious room, comfortable bed and very good facilities. The staff were very quick to respond to requests we made of them. This is our second stay at the hotel and we would highly recommend it staying in Sydney.

Stayed for a week in a 2 bed room with family of four. Plenty of space for the 4 of us, decently equipped kitchen (would have liked a toaster), comfy beds and a great bathroom. Location is fantastic in a bustling part of town. There are lots of eating options nearby and the world square shopping centre is a very short walk. Public transport is 5 minutes walk away and gets you to circular quay for the Opera House and Bridge in 10 minutes Really great stay. Highly recommended

Excellent hotel . 5 min walk to Darling Harbour . Round the corner to the tram to the harbour. The room itself was spacious and clean with great kitchen facilities , sofa and dining table. The bathroom was also large with toiletries supplied. The only thing that is missing is a bar in the hotel but to be honest there are lots of options in the location. After booking a double room we were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment which was amazing! Very spacious with a full equipped kitchen, separate dining area with seating for six and a generous lounge area. The main bedroom has a king bed and ensuite while the second bedroom has two single beds and another separate bathroom. The buffet breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the light rail, buses and Town Hall trains. There are plenty of cafes, hotels and bars to choose from and it is close to shops and major Sydney attractions. It is fast becoming our favourite hotel!

Parking wasn’t explained before we got there and the breakfast was terrible. There was not much variety , the food was cold and tasted awful. So many things was empty, no refilled. Overpriced breakfast, I should have gone somewhere else

We found the staff gave bad directions, we asked the location of the car park and were given thw wrong directions. When we got there we asked a for a toilet and were told to go up the stairs but unfortunately I was on knee scooter. We asked if I could take the room key while my husband finished off so the toilet could be used. They again no go up to level one. Thennit finally kicked in that I couldn't. Then we asked them to book a taxi and were told they could've call one for us. At breakfast the eggs were very under cooked, the hash browns were cold and there was only two rashes of bacon swimming in oil. We asked for fresh bacon it took 45mins for it to come out. Had a special for breakfast advertised but when we asked about it I was told we needed to book it the day before which we were not told when we booked in

Breakfast great! Location top notch, close to everything ( shops, restaurants, wharf to catch ferry, Sydney opera house, darling harbour bridge, Chinatown)! Housekeeping really good, they made our beds everyday! Down side was the pool was closed for repair. This is school holiday, kids want to swim too. Overall we definitely coming back.
