This hotel is in an excellent location and breakfast is very good. The bedding is extremely comfortable and the furnishings retro. My sister and I booked the same category of room but there was significant difference in the size of the bathroom. I found the bathroom very small, even by European standards. There were some issues with the functionality of the room. Doors didn’t close properly. The safe didn’t work. The paint work is dark brown throughout the corridors - somewhat oppressive and very dark. Sensor lights come on but initially there is a feeling of darkness which some travellers might find disconcerting, even triggering. Overall a good stay, but could have been great with minor improvements.

Staff at front desk was very nice and helpful, 5 star service. Unfortunately I did not experience the cleanliness that other people are saying. We had a dirty rag left in our room, spoon from the day before dirty, forgets to refill our coffee, housekeeping staff requires more attention to detail and training. Rug in the room is old and dirty. Great location, but because of that it’s loud until late at night.

The hallways were black and dirty. The doors were scratched on the outside. The staff was not helpful. The rooms were tiny. The food was OK outside is extremely crowded. It is a big tourist area. I would recommend staying outside of the center of Lisbon.

Very clean property. Hallways could use some renovation and some extra light but other than that very comfortable and cozy hotel. Friendly staff, nice happy hour lobby area. Breakfast plenty and always being replenished and tables constantly being cleaned. Great showers in updated bathrooms. Excellent location.

Overall the property was lovely and the main floor decor was quickly yet beautiful. The hallways to the rooms definitely need better lighting. It is dark to the point of being a safety concern, particularly for older patrons (who I heard commenting that they couldn’t see) when getting off the elevator. The area rugs in the rooms definitely need to be put on a cleaning rotation as they were notably dingy which is something I notice when it comes to cleanliness at every hotel. The breakfast would do well to provide label cards for items that are not easily identifiable or that have pork/fish in them. I hate fish and have never seen a spinach and fish quiche served at breakfast before….assumed the brown item was mushroom of some sort and gagged upon discovering that it was not. The potatoes served were mushy and had no crisp to them and they ran out of the scrambled eggs repeatedly. Overall I probably wouldn’t get the breakfast again as there are so many cafes close by. We did enjoy our stay though and the bar staff is lovely. I would recommend the hotel but for people that pay attention to the details I mentioned… there they are

Warm & welcoming staff who communicated with me prior to my arrival to book airport transport for me. Much appreciated! The hotel was extremely well located for my needs (sightseeing) with a never ending supply of wonderful restaurants a short walk away. The room was spotless, comfy & quiet. The property is designed and enjoyable to be in.

Hotel location is excellent & very clean. The elevator & hallway to the rooms are very very dark. Didn't like that anyone can use the elevator wether a guest or not! Do not book the smaller rooms they are beyond small. Nowhere to keep your suitcase. Not sure if I'd stay here again due to that fact if we couldn't get a larger room.

The staff was exceptionally friendly welcoming and greeting us. The room was very small with no place to lay your clothes or hygiene liquids. A few small shelfs both in the room as well us in the bathroom would have helped a lot in a small space. I understand that the design was stylish but a good designer takes care of practical thing as well. The location was very nice.

This hotel is super cute and the staff was very friendly. The only downside was that the beds and pillows are so incredibly uncomfortable (to me) that I didn’t get one good nights sleep. There were two types of pillows- one was so soft and small, it flattened immediately. The other was hard and thin. There was no neck support. The mattress was also very hard. By the end, I needed a massage to get my neck and shoulders right. I will caveat this with the fact that I’m 6mo pregnant and need to side sleep. It was miserable. Otherwise, the hotel was in a great location- we walked almost everywhere except a tram to Belém one day. We found all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. If a hard bed doesn’t bother you, you will love it!

Travelling with friends, who liked their rooms but didn't have huge amounts of space. I went for a Junior Suite and it was well worth it. Bags of room, and very cool, including a modern four-poster. The location is excellent, downtown and very close to the Metro for going further afield. Staff all very friendly (my Portuguese is basic, unlike their English - everyone spoke it perfectly). And everyone was super helpful. Would stay here again when returning to Lisbon.

We had a wonderful stay at Brown Central! The staff was very nice, helpful and service minded, the room was very nice, clean and tidy and it was a great location as a first time visitor. The hotel staff really did the “little extra” by noticing that it was my fiancés birthday and left a bottle of champagne and a happy birthday note in our room which was super super sweet! We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Lisbon! ✨ I highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel in centrally located Lisbon, with added plus of being on flat part of town. Staff were extremely attentive and polite! Lots of shops nearby, easy to get to excellent restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk. Would happily stay here again and again!!!

Location of the hotel is great and the rooms and bar were really lovely. The things that let it down were the staff. I went to the bar twice and on both occasions was ignored. I had to ask for another drink etc. On one of the occasions I asked to see the menu and then was left for 20 minutes, noone came to see if I wanted toy order. The food came, and this was poor too, but nobody came to check to see if it was ok. Once I had finished, numerous members of staff walked by and didn't take the plate or ask if I wanted anything else. Really poor for what is supposed to be an upmarket hotel.

What a find! We had a wonderful stay here. Location was excellent, close to a lot of the action as well as a short walk from a major train station (yet we didn’t have any issues with external noise even though our window faced the street). The room was stylish with a boutique feel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed happy hour in the bar with some lovely cocktails. Would definitely stay here again!

The location is very convenient, lots food choices around the area, easy to go anywhere you want to. The only negative is when we checked in, they said the local charge has been increased double amount but without informing us before, as well as they didn't charged new price to every one exapted us. It makes us feel not feel comfortable at all.. The front desk people not very friendly, feel a little disappointed.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived at 8Am so they stored our luggage and gave me a call when our room was ready (earlier than promised). This is a lovely boutique hotel centrally located in Baixxa neighborhood. They offered us a complimentary cocktail. We were able to walk to most places of interest from the hotel. I would love to return to this hotel!

The front desk staff must be getting kick backs from taxi services as they would not help me arrange transportation to the train station (about a mile away) unless I agreed to pay three times the going rate. It’s a lovely hotel but I will never return nor recommend to friends because of this. The situation was very stressful.

Located in a gross touristy area and neighborhood of awful shopping and street beggars. The hotel main floor is nice with a cozy bar but the rooms are outdated, small, and weird. Looks like this was designed and developed pre COVID and it just is limping along. The neighborhood is awful if you want anything good to eat or anywhere cool to drink I would avoid this property in the future. It is far too expensive for what it is.

Streets around are always full of people, drinking, screaming and partying. In the night's, the rooms are just by pedestrian streets, so you hear music and loudness all night long, its literally impossible to rest.

Very good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel generally well equipped with pleasant decor. The bathroom was quite cramped and there was no shelving. The lighting was poor and the shower water leaked all over the floor as it seeped under the shower door. Breakfast choice was good, but the warm options were always luke warm as the hot plates that the dishes sat on were not adequate to keep the food warm. Very poor, dim lighting in hallways. It was part of the theme of the decor, but not very safe as it was difficult to see.
