Location was great. a semi B&B / Hostel. room was renovated recently BUT AC did not cool the room, hot water was in and out, no onsite support after 3pm, 4 hangers and no dresser, elevator not available until the 1st flight of steps. No lobby or communal area to meet up with friends. Breakfast minimal. Need to mention again the location was great!!!

Hard to find entrance, bldg was undergoing renos and was very dirty. Charged a fee to have room serviced. Staff were helpful and polite.

Some stair climbing involved with luggage, and office/check-in desk closes at 3pm. People very nice.

Nice view of some ruins directly in front of the property. Centrally located. Older building, with industrial entrance area and old small elevator to access the reception area and rooms. Room was smallish, but clean and bathroom fixtures were modern.

Very classic inter city hotel. Small under 10 rooms. Breakfast continental is brought to your door and they want you to take it in. Don’t expect it left in the hallway. Hint wear clothes to answer the door 20mins to Vatican 20 mins to Colosseum $$12 Euro train station . Use GPS to get around Fun trying to find the entrance to this hotel. On 2nd level

This property can be confusing. It does not have outside signage. It is located within a shared building for other purposes. Once you get to the hotel on the second floor lobby it is tight. As in tiny lobby for two people to stand with the luggage in the tiny hallway. Other than that it is nice, clean, and the room is spacious after considering the cramp entry. The bathrooms had ample room with a nice shower. If English is your only language then you will have issues speaking with the staff. They know almost zero english so know your Italian if you want good communication. For the price it was great. Fantastic location. Nice spacious room. Oh and sound proof windows. Once the windows are closed the outside traffic noise disappeared. I would stay there again.

Pantheon Caesar Relais was hard to find, with the entrance in a sketchy alley. The intercom didn’t work, and the elevator felt unsafe. Upon arrival, loud construction and an unfriendly welcome set the tone. Our room had a great view, but by 6:30 pm, the water was completely out, with no warning. When we called to report it, we were told it was “after hours” and received no help—staff even hung up on us. Later, a note appeared saying the building had no water due to city maintenance, a problem they likely knew about before our check-in. Without water to flush, wash, or shower, we had to use bottled water for basic needs. The room didn’t match the photos, with a hard mattress, old bedding, and dirty floors. The lack of cleanliness and poor service made our stay uncomfortable, and the dark alley felt unsafe at night. We left early and took photos to document the conditions. Not recommended

Hotelværelset var rummeligt og lyst og aircondition var et plus. Receptionen er blot et gangareal, men det betyder ikke rigtigt noget. Beliggenheden er rigtig god, med gåafstand til alle de store attraktioner. Udsigten fra værelset var lige ud til Largo di Torre Argentina ruinerne, men vi bemærkede ikke larm fra bylivet. Rengøring var okay, inkl. rene håndklæder hver dag. Dog var sengetæppet tydeligt plettet og uvasket, men vi valgte blot at sove uden. Personalet var venlige og imødekommende. Morgenmaden bestilles dagen før og leveres på værelset på valgt klokkeslæt. Den er ikke noget særligt.

Chambre très petite et la propreté laisse vraiment à désirer, la couette était dans un état catastrophique, joint de salle de bains vétustes, rideaux tachés et j’en passe … le lieu est très bruyant nous attendions tous les vas et viens et les portes qui claquent, petit déjeuners très bas de gamme, personnel agréable cependant. Nous avons demandé un paiement sur place, surprise notre compte est débité le jour de l’arrivée !!! Une seule chose de bien l’emplacement idéal en plein cœur du centre historique.

Amazing location in central Rome. Overlooked four Republican era temple ruins. Doesn’t get better than that! Surprisingly modern and perfectly clean room. Breakfast delivered to room each morning. This was a “bucket list” trip and this room was it’s own highlight.

For an inexpensive place to stay it did the job . The bed and pillows were too hard for me but it’s personal choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room and bathroom was clean . Perfect for a few days break and close to all sightseeing, restaurant areas and amenities . Not so easy to find as it’s in the second floor and no singage but it was safe and comfortable

We would not return to this property and wish we had stayed elsewhere. We chose it for the location, but without the balcony room, our experience would have been much worse. There is no closet, and the furniture is not the best quality. While they offer breakfast, it consists of just two pastries—so if you’re expecting a full breakfast, this isn’t the place. The bed was heavily stained and lacked a mattress protector, which was disappointing.”

Cheiro de esgoto no banheiro e no quarto 24 horas por dia, além disso tinha um buraco do lado do frigobar (que não tivemos coragem de olhar dentro) coberto com uma tampa de pedra improvisada, quarto e banheiro encardidos e com sujeiras, ouvimos todo o barulho da rua (nossa janela dava para um beco com estacionamento e mendigos). Café da manhã só podia escolher 5 itens, se escolhesse manteiga e nutella (vinha só uma unidade pequena de cada) só podia pedir mais 3 itens.

This place is a gem. We had a warm welcome and the room was clean, with a gorgeous view. We walked to the Trevi fountain and other places with ease. Also we had breakfast brought to us in the morning. We felt so safe and appreciated. Thank you all for such a nice stay!

We enjoyed our stay but did find the accommodations a bit cramped. The plumbing in the room was in poor condition as the drain caused the shower to overflow. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of central Rome. There were so many switches for lights that it was challenging to know what was controlled and some of the lights didn't function. The provided breakfast was delicious.

At first we were a bit nervous to stay here because the building is very old & the way to enter the property seemed kind of sketchy. There is no signage to indicate it’s an actual hotel until you get to the floor. It’s more of an apartment complex than a hotel. Our room, however was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice, but shower not functioning well. Location great for walking and restaurants and bus/metro

This property was in a cool location because you look out and see ruins. Don’t be confused though, you aren’t looking at the Roman forum. Our room was TINY. If you have a large suitcase I would not recommend as we didn’t have space to set it out and still walk around the room. But we made it work and it did the job. From this location we walked about 25 min to the Colosseum and about 50 mins to our meeting point next to Vatican City. We also walked about 30 mins from the train station. But walking that long is pretty much anywhere you stay in Rome. Breakfast in the room was great. Shower was kind of gross because lack of drying caused grout discoloring, etc., but I’ve had worse. Overall a good property and was solid. Nothing amazing, but it was solid and wouldn’t be against staying again if we had to and were on a budget.

Loved our stay with view of the ruins and cats. Highly recommend booking a room with city view. Breakfast was a nice touch. Rooms are small but we didn’t bring a lot of luggage so it worked out. Close walk to most major sights and yet not as crowded as many other piazzas , taxi stands close. The entry would be a little harder to find but we used their pick up services so there was no issue. We found the place perfectly safe. We will return

Our stay at Pantheon Caesar Relais was disappointing and not worth the €200 per night. Parking Misrepresentation: The hotel claimed to have parking, but it only referred to expensive street parking or garages costing €20-30/day. Hotels.com should prevent properties from misleading customers like this. Horrible Shower Experience: The shower was a disaster—ice-cold water, a broken digital display, and weak water pressure. Despite complaints, staff suggested running the water for 10-15 minutes to warm it, which is wasteful and unacceptable. On the second day, the water was still freezing. After much insistence, we were moved to another room, but even there, the water barely warmed up. The hotel admitted the issue was due to the original room being far from the water pump and other guests finishing the warm water first—a problem they clearly knew about. Poor Service and Maintenance: Staff were dismissive, and the room was poorly maintained. The TV didn’t work, the safe was unreliable, it was dirty under the bed, and the hotel was extremely noisy. Recommendation: Avoid Pantheon Caesar Relais at all costs. There are better hotels in Rome that provide the basics of hospitality. Hotels.com should also take stricter action against false advertising and ensure better accountability for customer complaints. Hotels.com should offer refund and compensation and not cheap gift cards and not give it in the hands of the hotels that clearly easily can decline even when it is their fault.

Goede locatie, zeker voor een citytrip. De kamer zelf was stil ondanks de drukte buiten. Douche mag wel weer wat opgefrist worden. Ontbijt was ok.

Fell on a step down from entry onto a desk in the dark looking for light switch in room 205. Also step up to bathroom. There is a slippery glass case with artifacts which is also a step down - fell into a desk. Tried to call emergency hotel number for help and it was not a good number. No ice available in the B and B. No staff. No ice at grocery store. Trying to get home to go the urgent care. Realized how awkward the B and B was with steps even at the reception that are taped with caution tape. Just not a good fit for a tired tourist. Light switches placed in odd locations. Beautiful view. Also key worked the door to an adjacent room so it didn’t feel safe. Glad it was for just one night.

We really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff and the location was fantastic to reach each of our choices to visit. They were kind enough to hold our bags after we checked out. Arranged for the taxi to take us back to the airport. And anything we wanted or needed to know.

Upon arrival, this property began to give awful vibes. This is NOT a hotel, it’s more of a bed and breakfast and I’ve stayed at hostels nicer than this place. Once the attendant let us in to the building, the floor smelled of a stale stench which was only the beginning of the awful vibes. This place does not have a proper concierge, the room was disgusting and filthy, we did not feel safe to stay longer than one night of our four day stay. We would not have stayed the night but the only employee had left as soon as we checked in. This is where the true slimy and digusting nature of this place came to fruition. Upon attempting to check out early, one of the employees said there would be no charges and that we should speak to Expedia. We begged for evidence for the early check out but was refused. This company charges you full price of the stay upon check-in, in fact, they charged us hours before even arriving which I had not realized until we had left the property for good. Any half decent hotel worth a damn would charge you upon check out and would be only for the nights stayed. Once attempting to contact Expedia for a refund for the days we did not stay, they referenced the hotels policy that any modifications or cancellations after checking in would result in the full price being charged to your booking credit card. The photos and reviews do not reflect the current state of the property. I believe that this hotel is under new ownership and is being run into the dirt

Perfect location history abounds We looked out our windows and it was where Caesar was assassinated. Incredible and a small wonderful Museum attached. The staff here are incredible and friendly and very helpful and sincere. Perfect local for easy access to all that Roma is all about. Highly recommended.

The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be very helpful. The airport transfer and check- in instructions were excellent. The continental breakfast was great and was included with the price. The staff installed an air conditioning unit the second night, but the fans they had in the room was enough for a comfortable sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again with future visits to Rome with the family.

Quiet and clean, close to Trastevere, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia. I would definitely stay here again next time.

The place was cute, clean and perfect for a couple. The best part about it is the proximity. Literally anywhere we wanted to go; The Colosseum, St Peters Square, Pantheon, Trevi, Trestevere, etc. Nothing is more than a 20 min walk.

Excellent view of Ancient Temples outside our window. Great Restaurants close by. Helpful staff.

We simply loved being in the middle of so much history. This is no where there are hundreds of other vacationers, you are in a stunning local neighborhood. Better, smaller, restaurants with locals at the table next to you. The freshest food. This central location puts you within 10-15 minute walk of ALL the famous sites. No uber necessary.

A nice, spacious room on the second floor (with fun old Otis elevator) of a building where our window overlooked the spot where Julius Caesar met his famous end. Very modern bath, comfy bed, central location near the Pantheon. The staff of two were very helpful and cheerful; breakfasts plentiful and right on the time we requested. Arranged for us to rent a wheelchair from a local farmacia and brought it to our room. Referred us to what is probably the best pasta place in Rome—right across the street. Good value for money.

Room as advertised, a city center guesthouse, and we enjoyed our stay! Location and view are outstanding with many sites within walking distance. We enjoyed the continental breakfast which was delivered to our room at a time we designated, a very nice touch! We spent most of our time exploring the sites, which is why we came to Rome and why we choose a central location at a decent price point.

This was an immersion into the Italy culture! Our "apartment" was located in a bldg adjacent to the ruins of Appollus and where Julius Caesar was killed. LOVED location and ambiance. We were on second floor and other companies had apartments on other floors. We were met by an individual and assisted to checkin but couldn't access room until after 2:00. This lady spoke little English which was understandable being that we were in Rome. Our room had a queen bed and another bed (which we paid extra), working windows which was really cool! Nice bathroom. We had issues with the bathroom door getting locked and the lady didn't think we could understand her but she was talking about us to another lady who helped her get the door unlocked. After that, a nice young man was at the desk and we had no other issues. Breakfast was delivered to us. Croissants were the best. We wanted to stay in a place with character and this was it. Bed was cozy and clean. A little pricey but we were there in high season.
