This hotel was awesome from top to bottom. Staff was friendly and professional, beds were firm and clean, breakfast had great selection, hotel was very clean, restaurant was excellent and there was a park just across the road honouring fallen heroes. So this was an educational experience for my children as well. Totally enjoyed my stay. Will be back for sure.

I loved the place. There were 2 very small issues which I can't blame them for because I didn't report them. I'm sure that if I'd have asked them to take care of them they would have. I couldn't get the microwave to work, and I was unable to adjust the temperature on the air conditioner/heater, but the temperature in the room was really pretty good so I said nothing. And I didn't really need the microwave. The breakfast was very nice and it was great having the airport shuttle available. I would stay there again if I was back in the area again.. It had the highest rating of all the ones I looked at booking.

Nice hotel with typical Salvatore's style. Everything was great including the breakfast. The only down side was the elevator was very slow in peak times. Only one to service the hotel guests. We were told there was one at the other end of the building which is used by the hotel staff. But all in all a great stay. We will definitely return.

The facilities were very well maintained. We encountered only pleasant staff. The breakfast bar was delicious and the breakfast attendant was especially pleasant. This was one of the best hotel visits we had in a long time.

The hotel is well maintained and clean. Free breakfast buffet had plenty of choices including hot items. We had dinner upon arriving and we were accommodated without a reservation. The food was plentiful and delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. The king size bed and pillows were very comfortable. The most unusual feature among quite a few was the large whirlpool tub in the bedroom. We didn’t use it but found it interesting. Shower had good pressure and always had hot water. The air conditioner was working well. The room was quiet and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Also the location is good for getting around Buffalo. There is ample self parking and there are carts available to move luggage.

I really enjoyed our stay; the front desk staff was efficient, attentive, and polite; however, three suggestions that I would make: a) the carpet in our room was dingy and felt dirty. Some updates are needed. b) I found some used tissue behind the curtain, which grossed me out. c) better labeling on the shampoo/conditioner/body wash. While I struggled and eventually figured it out, the friends we traveled with washed their bodies with the shampoo and their hair with the body wash. The breakfast buffet would be a 6/10, but I don’t deduct stars for that. The memorabilia in the hotel is unique and fun to read. The Memorial Park on site is also very patriotic and appreciated.

Very cool vintage hotel. The building has a great ambience about it. Breakfast was great. Steakhouse attached is top notch. Room was very nice, and the curtains are full black out which was great cus i was in dire need of a good nights sleep. Staff out check out/in was very pleasant, as were the staff in the breakfast area.

The top most importance of a hotel is noise. The air conditioning in my room was obnoxiously loud. When it turned on randomly it was like a bomb going off and did not cool the room. The key in the slot did not help. The person shoving the bill underneath my door at 3 in the morning pushed so hard they knocked their hand loudly against the door, I know because it woke me up. The toilet wouldn’t flush half the time and the water pressure was less than stellar. The restaurant was great and everyone is very hospitable but the rooms are sub par

Stayed there with my mother 87 years old. The front desk employee Michael went out of his way to try to accommodate a handicapped accessible room for us. Unfortunately they didn’t have enough available but it certainly wasn’t for a lack of effort or his compassion for others! He was able to get a shower chair for her which was a perfect solution since she’s able to walk with a cane but just not steady. This provided her the security and privacy needed. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and fresh coffee 24-7. Staff was super friendly and great to work with. Thank you for an excellent visit.

We were warmly greeted and checked in at the front desk by Rhianna, who was very thorough giving us information of what to expect during our stay. The hotel was elegantly beautiful! We had a delightful dinner at Russell’s, and the breakfast buffet was great as well! I will say, I think the Keurig in my room might need replacing, as the coffee wasn’t as hot as we are accustomed to. Also the toilet was a bit weak in flushing, a couple times it didn’t flush at all. ???? We stayed in room 113. Overall, we had a ‘Grand’ experience, and even got to meet Mr. Russ, as he was greeting dinner guests at the reservation desk!

Honestly, everything about this hotel was excellent except for one male who answered the phone on 2 separate occasions when I called, in the morning, to make an inquiry. He was very rude, abrupt, and the second time he hung up on me. He antagonized me, and got a reaction out of me. I do not like being spoken to like that.He completely lacks understanding what customer service is. I work in the hospitality field, and his behavior was unacceptable. Can't chalk it up to a bad day as it was 2 different days. I spoke to a woman in the evening after the second time and she immediately helped me. The woman who checked us in when we arrived was also very pleasant.

Great place to stay while in the Buffalo area. Courteous and efficient staff, clean and spacious room, elegant lobby and hallways, good location and a great value compared to nearby properties. Breakfast was excellent with real plates, cloth napkins and tables that are bused by friendly staff (no need for guests to carry their trash to a garbage can when done with breakfast.) Great place to stay while in the Buffalo area. Courteous and efficient staff, clean and spacious room, elegant lobby and hallways, good location and a great value compared to nearby properties. Breakfast was excellent with real plates, cloth napkins and tables that are bused by friendly staff (no need for guests to carry their trash to a garbage can when done with breakfast.) The woman who checked me in was rude and had zero manners. Not a smile on her face or a warm welcoming feeling. Also aside from her black attire she looked like she just rolled out of bed. Not what I except when paying $200 per night for a room..

"Grand" hotel is a nice hotel that is just notch below lower-lux. Well appointed and clean. Hallways are nice and wide. Staff friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast is basic but fine. Didn't try the on site restaurant. Not particularly close to anything (30 min to Buffalo, Nigeria, or Canada). Would absolutely stay again if in Buffalo area. Worth mentioning that the hotel is a bit of a shrine to the owner. Newspaper articles, busts, award, everywhere. Every room has a copy of his autobiography. A reserved parking spot for his powder blue roadster...He might be the most amazing guy ever but it seems a little weird.

Overall nice stay. Clean,quiet,great staff. The room was a little dated. Could use new bedspread, the towels were frayed and the outlet over the desk needs to be replaced. The bed was very comfortable. Most people staying here were over 65 fyi. Very convenient location near the airport and restaurants.

It was a fantastic stay for sure! Check in was a breeze, the whole place was clean, and it just had that old school look and charm to it. We decided to enjoy the steak house while we were there. Best move of the night as the service, food, and ambience was top notch!!

This is such a beautiful place! Our only complaint was that for having a stunning restaurant attached, the complimentary breakfast for guests is subpar. It would be nice to have more flavor an options for this level of a hotel.

Have always enjoyed staying at the original hotel and now this one. Was a little bit disappointed this trip though. I ordered something off the menu that was listed as a “Lite Bite” for $28 but when I went down to pick up my meal to take it back to my room, I was charged 62. I was told I had to order at the bar for that price. What? Also was not given silverware and when I got to my room, the food was cold. Someone did try to reach out to me twice to discuss. I called the number back and no one answered. I will stay there again for sure, but it was just disappointed and confused how something could be $28 if I ate at the bar but 62 if I took out to my room?

So much better than a big corporate chain hotel. I really enjoyed this hotel as it is a throwback but meticulously maintained so it is nostalgic and not "dated" The breakfast was a "real" breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes and many other offerings. The owner Russel Salvatore even joined for breakfast impeccably dressed and handsome. I have a kid at SUNY Buffalo so I am DEFINITELY coming back to this gem!
