Our room with a view of the lake (and mini golf course) was comfortable and clean, and the gentleman working the front desk went above and beyond. He was super friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered pizza and drinks at the bar in the pool area and he brought them all out to our table or the hot tub while we relaxed. I absolutely recommend Village Inn on the Lake if you're looking for a great place to stay.

I love this hotel, it’s a hidden gem. We stayed here almost once a year back in the 90’s and the 00’s and have enjoyed seeing it change ever so slightly over the years. They have a great indoor pool with a hot tub. A bar is poolside so you can get drinks, pizza and ice cream novelties. They also have snacks and treats available for purchase. I always get a poolside room, not typically noisy and very clean. It’s nice having a fridge and microwave in your room too. Outside you can walk across the street and walk along the lakefront or (for a small cost) play a round of mini golf. Thank you for decades of great memories

The hot tub was one of the best I've used at a hotel. Small bar with fair prices that was reasonably stocked was a nice touch. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. The only reason I rated it lower was the lack of restaurants in the area or continental breakfast. The lack of those amenities I felt made this hotel overpriced.

Wonderful place to stay for a motel. Nothing fancy, but clean and had a great outdoor sitting area and nice pool area the kids love. Onsite mini golf is a plus. We were able to take the dog and had a great time. Lake Michigan right across the street is also pretty neat. Also super close to numerous attractions and beaches.

Our stay overall was great. A little dirty in some areas of the room. The hot tub in our room was a little dirty, but sooo relaxing. It was quiet and hearing the waves crash was so relaxing. Definitely will be coming back.

The room we stayed in was discribed as the high seas whirpool suite. Not only did it have no whirlpool it had no tub at all. It was large room with a very dated kitchen area. The floors were filthy!! Positives It did have a pool up by the office which our grandkids enjoyed and it just across the street from Lake Michigan.

We recently stayed at The Village Inn, and while the location is great, our room was not as clean as we would have liked. The floors had dirt and small rocks scattered around, and there was a noticeable trail of dead ants in the bathroom leading to the closet. It also seemed like there was a laundry room nearby, as we could hear some noise from that area. On the positive side, the view of the lake was nice, and it looks like an easy walk in warmer weather. The pool was enjoyable, though the pool towels were quite small. Overall, while the setting is pleasant, the cleanliness of the room could have been better.

LOTS we did not like: hole in door for mice to come in, lots of spiders and webs, black mold around faucets and drains, bathroom vinyl very old and moldy, TV did not work (replaced batteries in remote, still did not work,) expected MUCH nicer accommodations for price

The staff was very polite, helpful and friendly and I liked the fact that the property looked out at Lake Michigan but the highway in front of the property was noisy. The paper thin walls made it possible to hear every word the people in the adjoining room were saying, which made us feel unable to speak to each other, lest they hear everything we said. The room was clean but dated. The heating in our room, was very loud and despite the number of times we turned it down, it turned off and on constantly, all night. The hotel has a nice pool and hot tub but you have to leave your room and walk outside to get to it, which is probably alright in the summer but in a Wisconsin winter, it's pretty uncomfortable.

Property was advertised as a hotel, which it is not, it is a motel (big difference). We had a ground floor room, we could hear the person above us because the floors were very squeaky; we heard every step they took and everything they dropped. this was particularly annoying, when they decided to get up at 4:45 am to leave early - 30 minutes of unrelenting noise. after they left, we had about 15 minutes of quite then our next door neighbor let his phone alarm buzz and jingle for a good 10 minutes before hitting snooze, quiet for another few minutes then the buzzing and jingle again for 10 minutes, and then a 3rd round of this (all before 6 am). Unless you can sleep through this type of noise, I would not recommend this motel. Definitely not a fan.

The hotel is a little dated. But the size of the rooms is outstanding. The comfort of the bed, was great. It was a real nice Mom and Pop type, hotel. I would recommend you stay here. I will definitely be staying here any time I come up this way again.

We loved the room itself and all its amenities. The bed was horrible!!! You can feel each spring in that bed! I think it was old we are. The hot tub was disgusting. It was like a light mud color when we used it the first time. There was a lot of stuff in the piping below the filter. Enjoyed the view just wish those two things were better for how much we spent on 2 nights there.

This property wasn't quite what we expected. A few things took away from the overall experience. We were on the second floor and you couldn't get to the stairs without walking quite close to the pool. Floor was usually wet and possibility of getting splashed on. Room was advertised as having a view of the lake, it did not. Large window in our room facing the pool area only had vertical blinds. They were broken and did not close completely. had to throw bed spread over window for privacy.

I loved my stay at the Village Inn. I had a great time watching the Full Moon rise over Lake Michigan from my fabulous lakeview room! The staff - especially Karen, Morgan, and Brian - were all very friendly, helpful and professional. I really enjoyed being close to the Lake, nice beaches, and the Mariners Trail! Cons:The Village Inn on the Lake…is not on the lake. Deceiving and Misleading! No breakfast offered…none. The bed, pillows and 2 chairs in our room were horrible, unless you like “rock hard!” If you desire comfort…the guest rooms are not for you. 4 lanes of busy traffic between motel and lake. Pros: the area is gorgeous, biking & walking paths, flower gardens along the bike path…so beautiful! We liked the fact that they have mini golf in front of motel ($3 per person) and the bean bag game on side of motel. There are some really nice perks.

Most of the room was cleaned well. An exception -a glider chair in the room was pretty dirty, so we didn’t use it. The mini golf was fun! We brought bikes and loved the bike trail across the street, along Lake Michigan.

The room could be a little updated but besides that the stay at this property was fantastic. Had plenty of pillows and towels provided. The beds were comfortable enough. Plenty of space. Nice size fridge in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms and other areas of the property was very neat and clean. They have a decent size pool and hot tub. Hot tub was hot and enjoyable and the jets worked great. They have a small selection of drinks on site to enjoy. And they have a cute little mini golf course that we enjoyed playing on. And having the beautiful Lake Michigan across the road and the walking path there is nice. We would stay there again.

The rooms were dated and smelled musty. They did look clean though. Not much dining choices in the area, but we were staying there as it was close to the hospital. Pool looked nice and they had miniature golf that looked nice. Sites for RV’s also on the property.

Excellent stay and will return. Very friendly staff- each one we encountered! Wonderfully comfortable, large pool with tables near it and plenty of open space. Doors open to large deck area with many tables to sit at outside. Large open area with corn hole set up and more tables. Mini-golf attached to property with nautical theme and very reasonable. Pool bar and pizzas and ice cream available. Has everything we needed with a view of the lake right across the street. Beds comfortable. Mini fridge with freezer that actually froze our freezer packs. Clean room.

We only stayed for a quick trip for my son's high school football game but there was plenty to do, a nice pool area, and the beds were comfy! Not much for options of food on sight but it is an RV Park and there is plenty of dining options in.the surrounding area.
