It’s looks like a nice place at first, but too much bad design here. At first glance everything looks fine, if over-designed, but once you start using the room you realize just how highly inefficient the place is. To simply turn on a light you have to scan a keypad of 12 different lighting options....and some of these options are unclear so you have to try them out just to find out what they are. The hotel itself has a crazy design that required me to take 2 different elevators and walk a very long corridor just to get to the door of my room. This is a difficult place to stay and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great stay! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and offered a great pool and fitness centre. Our check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. The hotel offers valet parking for $55, however you can self park in the underground for $18 a day and $10 overnight. We would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is located at Bloor & Sherbourne so conveniently located for the TTC and walking downtown, although parts of Sherbourne are notoriously sketchy. However, the hotel was great. The valet was really helpful with our car and bags and the staff in the hotel were lovely. The room was really comfortable. If there was one minor thing that could be improved it would be to have more creamer for the coffee in the rooms.

Mix review really. Went for my toddler birthday, asked for early check in which they did, getting into the hotel is not easy when coming by car with kids, 2 elevators to get to lobby, lots of friendly lobby staff, but they wouldn’t give us any dish soap when we requested for cleaning our baby bottles. clean rooms, but the sheets on top of the bed had a hole right in the middle, pool is salt water and warm which my child enjoys. We also ordered room service for 5 people, the food arrived almost cold and they couldn’t bring the Cart in the room we had to carry each individual plate inside appetizers mains and all and tip on top so that was frustrating with 2 toddler in our legs. But at least they had nespresso machine and a drawer fridge. The rooms were hot so we had air conditioner on all night which made my daughter cough we had to turn it off around 2 am because she was coughing so much which prevented everyone from sleeping. Then turn it back on at 4 am for 15 min and off again. The air was extremely dry. They gave a hard chocolate cake on a hard stone plate for my 4 year old, which is nicely intentioned but not toddler friendly. Some balloons or a little stuffed toy would have been much better.

Best hotel I have stayed in. Very clean, quiet, technologically modern (big wow for someone used to "regular chain hotels"). Staff was super courteous and polite, which was a big plus, they really make you feel welcome. All in all a super stay! The only downside is that is was not at all clearly indicated on the Website the valet was 55 $ per day, and not per stay. The surprise at seeing this end of the stay was unwelcome as we would have decided to park in a public parking instead. Besides this, wonderful hotel!

The hotel is gorgeous and aesthetic and with friendly staff. Convenient dining options at the hotel (I.e., cafe, dinner) on the first and second floors. The room was nice and clean with comfy beds and sheets. The gym is great and the indoor heated pool was a joy to use. Overall excellent.

Overall, our stay was great as usual. This is our third or fourth stay at the Canopy and we’ll certainly be back. The staff were mostly very helpful, the breakfast was great, the room was clean and the common areas were kept well. But it’s the small fundamental things that are the big things. This is where good hotels start to show cracks in their track record. Let’s start with the beds… the sheets were clearly showing signs of “dinge” the pillows smelled like other people’s heads and the fitted sheets were replaced with flat sheets that did not stay in place. Waking up in a ball of dingy sheets on top of the mattress cover was a really subpar experience. In addition, the ice and water machine was “out of order” for what seemed like some time. This is an easy enough fix. I hope the Canopy takes note and doesn’t rest on their laurels.

The staff were very good and helpful. The sheets for both beds were very marked up and we had to have them changed multiple times. The floor in the room, as well as the shower could have been cleaned better. Dust and hair were found in both. The experience was not great and I will not stay here again.

Nous avons apprécié l’ambiance générale de l’hôtel, le style de la chambre et l’accès à une belle piscine. Le quartier est agréable et une station de métro est à proximité de l’hôtel. Nous avons moins apprécié la qualité du ménage qui est fait rapidement : l’aspirateur n’est pas passé partout, la poussière s’accumule sur les meubles et les lampes… Nous étions 4 dans notre chambre et il était mis que 2 verres et tasses malgré notre demande. Enfin les produits de douche étaient vides à notre arrivée, ce qui va dans le sens de ce qui précède : chambre préparée succinctement !

An sich gut, jedoch war das Housekeeping nicht immer so sorgfältig. Das war unser 2ter Besuch in dem Hotel. Beim ersten konnte man an gar nichts meckern. Aber empfehlen kann ich es trotzdem.

The property is modern and clean. Check in takes forever (almost 20 minutes!). I had to check in twice because they gave me the wrong room the first time. You can hear sirens all day and night. Got woken up both days at 4am because of it (try to get a top floor!) Broken toilet paper holder and leaky shower in my room. No counter space in bathroom, but bedroom area is nice. Love the electronic curtains and the refillable water stations. Nice big tv. It’s weird that the lobby is ion the second floor as opposed to the main entrance. Staff is kind and tried to make some of the problems better by offering me food voucher so I really appreciate that. Great decor.

Our room was beautifully appointed but our very large window looked out in to an outdoor courtyard/patio where some guests gathered on couches. Weird. There was little to no privacy. The shower door did nothing to stop water from getting all over the floor and completely soaking the bath mat. Finally, the bed was lacking nominal support and I’ve had a sore back since the first night - 4 days ago.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Without a doubt this has the best designed rooms I Have ever stayed in. They are fully automated With comfortable beds and excellent amenities. One criticism is the television service. Poor selection and not easy to navigate.

The Canopy by Hilton Toronto is a modern and beautiful hotel. The room with two queen beds was spacious and modern with digital controls for the window coverings and lights. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is because of its location. It is only a 10 minute walk to Bloor and Yonge but the blocks around the hotel don’t feel as safe at night.

Great stuff and great location for accessibility to many restaurants and shopping. However, the set up of the bathrooms are extremely terrible. Although I love modern designs etc. No doors in a bathroom is a big no for me. As the only girl traveling with my boys, I didn’t have a single private area to change or go to bathroom without everything being in the open and neither did my husband and our boys. The beds are also very small and honestly very uncomfortable. My husband and two boys all have developed terrible back pains due to this. Overall, love the stuff and location but won’t stay in this hotel again.

Highly recommend Canopy to anyone who appreciates modern comfort. Spent just one night but would definitely come here again. Room is small, but the bed took up most of the space which isn’t a bad thing!

The hotel was nice. Room was clean with modern amenities, and it was convenient how they kept a steamer in the room that i could use for my suit. However, the staff was fairly rude. Would highly recommend NOT ordering room service. The food took an extra half hour on top of the estimate they gave me. And when it arrived, it was luke warm. They also forgot to give utensils. When I immediately called back to ask for utensils, I could not get through to the room service, and the front desk kept answering and was incredibly rude towards me. I had to call back 3 times and they had someone bring a plastic utensils to my room about 30 minutes later when the food was ice cold. Absolute waste of a $120 meal.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel as we were attending a concert in Toronto for my birthday. From start to finish the staff were accommodating, professional and very attentive. The hotel was beautiful and very clean and well maintaine. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Toronto

my go to for toronto. quality to price is always good. next to food basics, mcdonalds and the ttc. wouldnt necessarily say this is yorkville based on the location so just be mindful that this is technically yorkville, but not the yorkville you might be thinking of. still, convenient spot and close to alot of things.

Having grown up in Toronto, spending the first few years of my career working there I know the city well. The hotel offered convenience to the downtown CBD, area without being right downtown amongst the office towers. Easy access to various central neighborhoods for interesting shopping & dining + easy access to major transit and highways. Cool modern interiors with nice sized rooms.

The hotel itself is good. However, the surrounding area was disappointing. The street outside was dirty, with a strong smell of urine, and we noticed several homeless individuals nearby. While that’s not entirely the hotel’s fault, it did affect our overall experience. When we parked in front of the hotel, someone even approached our car, knocked on the window, and asked for money, which made us feel unsafe. Gym was sub par, not alot of machines and very little for weight lifting. Breakfast was medicore, not bad but nothing outstanding either. For the cost, more options and seasonal dishes would have been great. The room was outstanding, service was excellent and the staff always went above and beyond.

Very well appointed hotel. We had a one bedroom suite which was fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful. The one site bar and restaurant Dia was excellent. Had 2 wonderful dinners here - 1 for Valentine's day. Hotel is a short walk to Yonge and Bloor and Yorkville and is located on a subway line. We will definitely return for another stay.

I recently stayed at the Canopy. The hotel was quiet. The room was very comfortable. The commitment to sustainability was impressive. Unfortunately there were 2 reasons that resulted in the overall terrible review. The conair steamer for ironing did not work and had to be replaced twice. I called the frontdesk and it took quite a while to have the first replacement brought up. This first replacement stopped working and thankfully I was able to catch the cleaning lady on the floor who gave me a second replacement. I lost 50 minutes through this process and was late arriving to the funeral that I was in Canada to attend. My sister and I had breakfast two mornings at the hotel's restaurant, Dia. The first morning's breakfast was great, no complaints. The second morning my sister had the buttermilk pancakes with berries. Within 12 hours she got nauseous, started having diarrhea and vomiting and was diagnosed with food poisoning this morning - a little more than 24 hours after eating breakfast at Dia. Please ensure that staff are practicing proper hand washing and hand hygiene and sanitation. Though the room experience was very pleasant, the overall experience was not.
