The resort is absolutely stunning and very clean. The resort itself had wonderful landscaping and the pool areas were great. Lots of places to lounge, including lovely cabanas for resting near the ocean. The beach was gorgeous, with white sand that never got hot under your feet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurants were all wonderful. Every meal was good, and some were amazing. Of the inclusions that we tried, the catamaran snorkeling trip was our favorite. We weren't really there for the alcohol, but some people were. We really enjoyed the snorkeling and even saw an albino stingray. The trip was just the right length and the views were lovely. The Cenote/Ranch trip was less enjoyable. The cenote was fine, but not exceptional, although we liked our guide. The Ranch part of it was very detailed introductions to each horse and a long explanation of types of horse shoes and what they are used for. We didn't really enjoy that part. Overall I think this resort is amazing and would definitely go there again!

This is an incredibly special resort. The people make it so easy to come back to time and again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing staff, delicious food, beautiful beach, luxurious accommodations and great entertainment. The spa is fabulous and the Mexican Festival they host weekly is nothing short of spectacular!

Our stay at El Dorado Maroma was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch, making us feel completely taken care of in a truly all-inclusive environment. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was stunning—it featured a giant Jacuzzi tub and a beautiful view of the ocean. The resort itself is incredibly quiet and private, which made for a wonderfully relaxing getaway. We often had a pool all to ourselves, which felt like such a luxury. The beach service was first-come, first-serve, but we never had an issue finding a spot, and the service was always excellent. The food was great, with a variety of delicious options. The spa was very clean and beautiful and the couples massage price was reasonable. We loved our stay at El Dorado Maroma! The resort is the perfect size for a couples getaway. We were very happy with all the additional perks, including the hotel transportation and the catamaran and snorkeling tour. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They worked hard every morning to clear any sargassum that accumulated on the beach. The spa services were top notch and we enjoyed the food at each restaurant. Make sure you visit the Taqueria for lunch. We would definitely recommend staying here!

I think it is a property that should have more exposure. There is nice long clean beaches that has trees and shade. The beach doesn't have waves. Which makes it swimable out front. They have lifeguards. I didnt know that there has activities include like the waterpark, catamaran, and two water pools in the jungle. The food is amazing, you dont sign the room number. No beach vendors. Many a places to drink and eat. Amazing food no buffet.

Quiet and small property. About a half hour from airport in a very secluded forest area. Only other resorts around. Beautiful grounds. Everything is spread out but it’s relatively smaller property. Staff great. Pool area is nice. The beach is nice however there was a lot of seaweed at the time we went so it was not desirable to swim in the ocean. The food and drinks were mid. Not bad but not amazing. The staff were all super nice but not everything was communicated well as far as activities, events, menus, times things opened and closed etc. The place shuts down after dinner time so there isn’t much going on. They had nightly entertainment but it was meh. Room was very nice and clean. We stayed in junior suite with partial ocean view. No complaints about facility or rooms.

Excellent hotel in the Riviera Maya! The beach is amazing nothing compared with CanCun/Playa del Carmen, it is just a paradise. The hotel is great, amazing service, everyone goes the extra mile to make the guests feel comfortable and happy. The food was outstanding (for an all inclusive standards). The activities included (Catamaran/cenetos/cave/waterpatk) were great. If you want to treat yourself with a massage, don’t hesitate to book one, the facilities are great and the service was outstanding. Definitely this is not a party destination (everything closes between 10-11) instead wants a relax time in a great place then this might be a great option.

EDM was amazing!!! ALL staff were attentive and helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left. I had so much enjoying the amenities. The beach, the swim-up pool bar, and the entertainment at Rick’s. I visited with a group and we enjoyed everything. I upgraded from a private pool suite to a swim-up suite. The bathroom with the toilet room needs some updating, but besides that, everything else looks great. I also would love if they upgraded the food options. Some restaurants were, some were closed, some served different items on different days. I think something consistent at each restaurant with different options would be great. I will definitely visit again and recommend.

We had an amazing vacation at El Dorado Maroma. The resort far exceeded our expectations. Lomas Hospitality was there to pick us up at the airport and got us to the resort without any issue. We were fortunate that we were to only ones in our shuttle going to the resort and going back to the airport. The staff were all so wonderful. Carlos at Lima Limon was there every morning to greet us for breakfast. What a special person! Carlos and Karen at Bar "24" knew exactly what we wanted. Rene was always there when we needed a drink on the beach then he was there at the restaurants at night still taking care of everyone. Bladimir and Juan were always attentive at lunch at Papitos. Marlene at Mio was super sweet taking care of us at dinner. I also want to give a big thank you to Fernanda. She was the hostess at Papitos and also at Lima Limon. She remembered our room number after the first day. There were many others that were so special. The food was exceptional. Definitely gourmet and so delicious. We also did a couples massage at Naay Spa. It was a nice experience. Everything as so clean too. Our room was made up daily with fresh towels. Then when we departed and arrived at the airport Lomas Hospitality walked us in the airport and got us checked in and made sure that there wasn't anything else that they could do for us. What a wonderful experience. We will be back for sure. I would highly recommend this property.

We stayed in this property 10 years ago, and went back to it to find a place to spend frequent weekend breaks, thinking that the place would probably had changed a lot in a way that it could be a bit less appealing. Nothing farther than the truth, they have improved a lot while keeling the quiet and exclusive feeling of the resort. All the staff is very friendly and more than helpful, proactive, and the new approach to an "all inclusive" package that basically now included most of the things that used to have extra cost, is amazing. The hotel is super clean, and all the restrooms have A/C and always smell good and are kept dry and well equipped. The spa is an amazing experience, worth every dollar spent, and in general all the services, including the airport transportation are very very professional and safe, exceeding our expectations by far. In the Dorado Maroma, the Lomas group is doing an amazing job, and that includes the services provided right next door at the Maroma beach club, creating a uniform and high-quality experience for visitors, in such a transparent way, with the same standards suitable for demanding customers. For sure we will be back, and now are considering a membership, as this is a perfect spot to relax, and besides what nature provides, Lomas brings up the rest to make it possible. Congratulations to all the team!

Beautiful beach, clean property and top notch staff. They really take the time to do daily cleanings of everything whether it's the rooms, pools ,restaurants or grounds in general. Very quiet and peaceful resort. We will certainly come back.

This is such a beautiful property! The grounds are immaculate and the my room was always spotless. The staff was extremely friendly and made me feel welcomed and taken care of. I felt so safe at all times; from the transportation to walking around the resort. The food was great. Top shelf alcohol. Good communication via the app. Excellent stay!

Excellent beach, food and staff. Room was disappointing. We booked a “Mi Hotelito Beachfront Suite.” It was beach front-ish, and definitely NOT a suite. In fact, the room was small by any standards. I feel a little ripped off by the room, but everything else was perfect.

Our stay at El Dorado Maroma was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch, making us feel completely taken care of in a truly all-inclusive environment. This resort truly surprised us. First off I would like to say that we stayed at the Mi Hotelito room. I heard they have been the most recently renovated. It was a beautiful room that felt like a tropical getaway. The location was prime! That was our favorite part. We loved hanging out on our little patio and still received butler service there. Service everywhere was outstanding. Staff were always very happy to help. The food was the best we've had at an all-inclusive. It's a smaller resort and no buffet, so everything is cooked fresh. We usually get tired of the food by the end but not here. Chips and salsas to begin most meals. There are lots of Mexican options on the menu. We once went to a resort in Mexico with no Mexican restaurant, and it was so disappointing. El dorado maroma felt very Mexican and not just like an American resort in Mexico. Place is an older resort but well maintained. The people are amazing . The rooms were large and super clean . The food was really great for a resort I thought . No buffets all food the food was fresh . Premium liquor on hand . The only draw back I had was the honeymoon suite shows first floor with a pool outside in pics . I was on the 4 th floor no pool . I did like the spot because we were away from everything but should have paid less .

We spent our honeymoon here at El Dorado Maroma. The views are breathtaking, service is usually amazing, although we did have a couple waiters who missed a few steps occasionally( like not bringing us breakfast pastries basket when all other tables got one.) The have a great selection of food and alcohol included, Patron, 1800, good options. The main pool area is quite loud, and could be heard from inside our private pool suite, so we spent most of our time at another pool in a quieter area. (They did offer to move us for $100/per night upgrade). The catamaran boat tour with snorkeling was very interesting and we saw the second largest coral reef with a giant sea turtle! The property did need some upgrades in furniture that isn’t damaged and new carpet, but the rest of the resort was in good shape. I wouldn’t recommend the provided transportation as it took us over two hours after arriving to the van to actually get to our hotel, but overall a very pleasant experience and a great choice in Playa del Carmen. The landscaping and tropical gardens really won us over, as well as the resorts smaller scale in comparison to the mega resorts.

Took my mom here for her 60th birthday for a mother-daughter trip. This resort is a smaller boutique-like resort right on the beach. Overall this was a spectacular experience. We had an amazing vacation at El Dorado Maroma. The resort far exceeded our expectations. Lomas Hospitality was there to pick us up at the airport and got us to the resort without any issue. We were fortunate that we were to only ones in our shuttle going to the resort and going back to the airport. The staff were all so wonderful. Carlos at Lima Limon was there every morning to greet us for breakfast. What a special person! Carlos and Karen at Bar "24" knew exactly what we wanted. Rene was always there when we needed a drink on the beach then he was there at the restaurants at night still taking care of everyone. Bladimir and Juan were always attentive at lunch at Papitos. Marlene at Mio was super sweet taking care of us at dinner. I also want to give a big thank you to Fernanda. She was the hostess at Papitos and also at Lima Limon. She remembered our room number after the first day. There were many others that were so special. The food was exceptional. Definitely gourmet and so delicious. We also did a couples massage at Naay Spa. It was a nice experience. Everything as so clean too. Our room was made up daily with fresh towels. Then when we departed and arrived at the airport Lomas Hospitality walked us in the airport and got us checked in and made sure that there wasn't anything else that they could do for us. What a wonderful experience. We will be back for sure. I would highly recommend this property.

We picked this all-inclusive, because it is well-rated for service, food and is noted for being a quiet, all adult resort, with a great beach. We were not disappointed - we had a rejuvenating relaxing beach holiday. There was a bit of a sales pitch, when booking our dinner reservations, for their vacation club, but we were firm in letting them know, thank you, but, no thank you, and that was the end of the sales pitch, so no issues. Overall, good value for our time and money. Recommend. :)

We were very happy with all the additional perks, including the hotel transportation and the catamaran and snorkeling tour. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They worked hard every morning to clear any sargassum that accumulated on the beach. The spa services were top notch and we enjoyed the food at each restaurant. Make sure you visit the Taqueria for lunch. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We’ve stayed here multiple times. We really like the small size of the resort and quality food. There did seem to be a drop off in the quality of service. I asked the concierge 2 days in a row to book us a reservation and it never happened. I also mentioned a few issues with the room that were minor but were never addressed. At dinner we had a bottle of wine that we ordered and it was court so we sent it back. They never offered other options so we went the entire meal without a bottle of wine which I would gladly have purchased. The house wine options are not very good which is fine because they do have bottles you can purchase. Not sure what changed since the last few times we have been, but we likely will try other places. The location, size, and grounds are great.

Excellent hotel in the Riviera Maya! The beach is amazing nothing compared with CanCun/Playa del Carmen, it is just a paradise. The hotel is great, amazing service, everyone goes the extra mile to make the guests feel comfortable and happy. The food was outstanding (for an all inclusive standards). The activities included (Catamaran/cenetos/cave/waterpatk) were great. If you want to treat yourself with a massage, don’t hesitate to book one, the facilities are great and the service was outstanding. Definitely this is not a party destination (everything closes between 10-11) instead wants a relax time in a great place then this might be a great option.

as a female solo traveler, safety is paramount, and i never felt so safe while on vacation as i did here. the place is amazing. the bathrooms smell delicious. the restaurants offer delicious options and cater to any allergies or preferences you might have. be sure to book the specialty restaurants for suppers. the theme nights they offer once a week are quite the experience ( i only go to do the mexican night but thoroughly enjoyed it). the staff are very attentive- at the beach, in the restaurants, at the pools, everywhere you go. I've never felt so pampered from the time i arrived to the time i left. lots of activities to do each day from dancing lessons, to mini individual spanish lessons on the beach, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, beach and pool volleyball, etc and those are only the ones that i was informed about from roaming staff. the fact that it is only for 18 and over is so refreshing. do the on site excursions *based next door like the catamaran snorkling trip, camel ride, etc) or go off site for the cenote and cave trip for even more fun. if i would have had more days i would have done every offered excursion. the transportation, cleaning staff, bar tenders, pool cleaners, medics, life guards, bell boys, beach attendants, spa staff, restaurant staff, personal concierge, check in staff deserve much credit for making their clients enjoy the vacation even more memorable. everyone was so helpful and friendly. you wont go wrong choosing to book this property.

I've never felt so pampered from the time i arrived to the time i left. lots of activities to do each day from dancing lessons, to mini individual spanish lessons on the beach, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, beach and pool volleyball, etc and those are only the ones that i was informed about from roaming staff. the fact that it is only for 18 and over is so refreshing. do the on site excursions *based next door like the catamaran snorkling trip, camel ride, etc) or go off site for the cenote and cave trip for even more fun. if i would have had more days i would have done every offered excursion. the transportation, cleaning staff, bar tenders, pool cleaners, medics, life guards, bell boys, beach attendants, spa staff, restaurant staff, personal concierge, check in staff deserve much credit for making their clients enjoy the vacation even more memorable. everyone was so helpful and friendly. you wont go wrong choosing to book this property.

Staff great. Pool area is nice. The beach is nice however there was a lot of seaweed at the time we went so it was not desirable to swim in the ocean. The food and drinks were mid. Not bad but not amazing. The staff were all super nice but not everything was communicated well as far as activities, events, menus, times things opened and closed etc. The place shuts down after dinner time so there isn’t much going on. They had nightly entertainment but it was meh. Room was very nice and clean. We stayed in junior suite with partial ocean view. No complaints about facility or rooms.

This is a great, little resort. The beach is, in my opinion, is one of the best in the area. It is white and powdery. The staff rakes it each morning so there are no rocks or debris. There could be more beach chairs, but the staff work very hard to assure that you get a chair. My room was perfectly located within walking distance to the beach. Took my mom here for her 60th birthday for a mother-daughter trip. This resort is a smaller boutique-like resort right on the beach. Overall this was a spectacular experience. Food was horrible. Pretending to be gourmet restaurant with cheap Chinese food served as Asian fusion.Christmas dinner was pathetic. Beach is nice but you have to tip for towels. Beautiful property, helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms. We had an amazing experience at El Dorado Maroma. The property was gorgeous- well maintained and so many beautiful plants and flowers. The staff was so helpful and kind and most of them spoke English well which we really appreciated. The restaurants were all al a carte- so you order off a menu instead of a buffet. This makes meals move a bit slower but that forces you to relax and take in the scenery. The restaurant staff were all extremely careful about food allergies. Several pools, two of which had swim up bars. Their “more inclusive” plan means our transportation to and from the airport was included as well as a trip to a ranch with a cenote. They also include a catamaran snorkeling trip and day trip to a water park which we did not do. Some of these “extras” were only offered on certain days so I recommend staying a full week to take advantage of all they offer. We also enjoyed live music by the pool, daily crafts and a fire show in the beach. The beach- beautiful soft white sand and plenty of comfortable cabanas and lounge chairs and umbrellas. Unfortunately there was TONS of seaweed on the beach. Apparently it was the season for it and this is a problem in all of riviera maya and Cancun area. The staff worked hard every morning to clear as much as they could. Overall a great experience- would definitely return!

Words cannot describe how amazing this resort was. From the incredibly friendly and hospitable staff, especially Carlos during breakfast time. To the cleanliness of the whole entire area. There’s hard working people here maintaining the area, making sure it looks amazing! Every person behind the bars were so sweet and put love into each drink. Each meal was so fresh and made to perfection. Our house keeper Itzel made sure the room was clean and freshened up after our day at the beach. I will absolutely return and will recommend!
