Inn of the Four Winds Seaside Oceanfront

Really beautiful beachfront property. Quaint little place. Clean, convenient location. No AC, but night was cool enough with breeze to cool rooms down. Would stay again.

Nice facility but premium price. The room was spotless and the area was quiet. The Wi-Fi is very spotty would not have been a problem but the TV streams. There was no staff on site ofront desk

The Inn is a lovely building. It has no central lobby, check in at a separate location. No in-room phone support and poor wifi. Cleaning was average as we got fresh towels and clean sheets but the floor wasn’t swept and our pullout wasn’t changed or cleaned around. Can hear neighbors very clearly above and beside. Shared front lower patio area with neighbors, which is fine if you like your neighbors :) We had a lower floor suite and if I opened my bedroom window I heard the ice machine all night across the parking lot. Oh and there’s a parking space right outside the bedroom window. No AC, but it never gets hot here. The rooms get very stuffy if doors and windows are locked. The in will give good fans to help with air flow.

Liked that the kids had their own bedroom and that it was spacious. If you're someone who does not untether well, I wouldn't recommend this place. Cellular signal is pretty dim and WiFi is completely unreliable...super spotty and with frequent disconnects. Other than that, really nice place to stay and we had a great time.

The property is very nice and clean. The view is beautiful. The only downside is parking.

Its a nice looking space however it's so incredibly hot today that it's impossible to sleep! Unusual at the beach.

Overall a great place to stay in Oceanside. Room looks to have been recently refurbished and has all new furniture and memory foam beds. The bathroom was nice as well. The rooms all have a nice deck or balcony with chairs to sit and enjoy the view. There is also a nice shared deck with some benches and chair. I enjoyed sitting there with a coffee enjoying the peaceful morning. The room we had was very spacious and had a large king bed, an actually comfortable sofa bed, and then a separate bedroom with a queen bed. There is a small kitchenette with everything but a stove/oven, including plates and dishes. You can walk to the town center with all the shops and restaurants via the beach front "boardwalk" directly in back of the hotel. Takes about 10 minutes or so. Although it is beach front, there is about 100-150m of grassy dunes between the property and the actual beach. There are a couple of nearby access path but be prepared to walk a bit in your sandals to get to the beach. Hotel is in a very quiet and peaceful area and not right by all the large and dense hotels. There is enough parking for 1 car per room, but no more. it is a tight fit. Our only real complaint was that the wifi kept just completely dropping. It would work fine for like 1 hour, and then just disappear for 10 minutes, then work for 30 minutes, and then drop again. And cell service was very poor, making problem a bit more obvious.

The parking lot was tight but I guess that’s expected at beach hotels. First night we had to park on the street because we could not fit in the 3 spaces still available. One would have been block in housekeeping entrance and ice machine, other was next to fence and was not wide enough. 3rd space a car was on the white line and only a motorcycle or tiny car would have fit.

The furniture in the room is very dated, the bed squeaks so loud! We couldn't get Netflix to load on the TV, the WIFI was very slow and spotty... Location is convenient though and the view from the room is awesome!

The garbage in our room was not emptied for the guest before us. Beach view was great from our room. Parking was a bit tight here as well.

Beautiful location! Nice short walk to beach and downtown. Quiet location. That’s about the only remaining thing I can find. Upon arrival we walked in and the smoke detector had low batteries. It was doing a loud chirp every 3 min and took nearly 45 minutes to get someone over to change it. The shower wall had some large blonde hair wads (not ours). Our room had a strange layout and was clearly converted into a room. No hooks in the bathroom for towels, no light in the closet, poorly hung headboard that literally falls off the wall, strangely high up outlets (like 6ft up) and paper thin walls. Will be our first and last stay.

There was a used bar soap in the shower. And a crumpled candy wrapper on the floor by the night stand, so that left us to question the cleanliness of the room. The mattress was extremely firm, so am glad we only stayed one night. Things that we liked, were the location on the Prom, quiet rooms, fireplace in room especially while it was storming on the beach, and coffee selection. Salt water taffy candies were also a nice surprise.

It was located in a beautiful spot, right on the sea. Property was Clean and spacious.

From check in to check out and everything in between. Staff was friendly, kind and so helpful. This was the cleanest room in any hotel I have ever stayed in! No mold in the grout anywhere!! The beds so comfy!! Fireplace was awesome, put out just enough heat to warm us up. The Chris in the room so comfortable. Awesome view of the ocean and incoming winter storms!! Safe, secure, quiet!! Will come back in a heartbeat!!!

The room was not very clean, you can see dust and random articles left on the floor. Also there was no shower curtain and the bathroom floor got very wet.

Jetted tub was not clean, light switches were not clean. Bed is pretty uncomfortable and pillows need replaced. Counter also dirty. It’s a cute place but needs some tlc.

The view is amazing and at a great location. The rooms were spacious and good. But the walls are paper thin ;) you might want ear plugs.

The room was great however the box springs on the newer memory foam queen bed in the bedroom is extremely loud and squeaky could use it for that reason.

Room was very clean. I stayed in Room 104 which was ADA accessible. Next time, I will ask for a room on the second level as you cannot see the water from the first level (dunes only). Loved the deck and felt relatively safe on the lower floor. On the Prom, you cannot get better beach access!

everything was great except the bed it was so old and very uncomfortable woke up with a back ache every day. will not go back for this reason

Charming older hotel. Amazing ocean view. Dated interior but well kept and clean.

The only bad thing would be the super thin walls. We had a terrible upstairs neighbor with a child that would jump and run across the floor until midnight. Other than that, everthing else was a dream. Clean and beautiful. We loved everything else about it.

We had a 2nd room floor. VERY clean. Appreciated & used amenities: fan, hairdryer, fridge, microwave, pod coffee maker w/regular & decaf coffee, teas & cocoa, etc., a toaster, bathrobes & black out curtains. There were also plates, bowls, cups & utensils, dish detergent, dish towel and even a drying rack under the sink. We enjoyed the ocean view & sunsets from the balcony & later warmth of the fireplace. Bed was very comfy & water pressure in the shower was fantastic! We took walks along a path to the beach and along the promenade into town. It was a lovely and relaxing time & we will definitely stay here again.

Our room was amazing! Clean and lovely - comfortable and with a fantastic view of the ocean! We loved the location and walking distance to many shops and restaurants - as well as the beach/oceanfront.

Overall great place to stay. Not directly in the hustle bustle on the promenade if that's your thing. Try to get a top level room, as people tend to sound like elephants above you if you have a bottom floor. The king suite was spacious and the decor was modern. Bed was comfy, although my hubby wasn't a fan of the pillows. I recommend this place and would stay here again.

The check-in experience for this property is terrible. There is one person staffed for multiple properties so the wait is long and the check-in location is about a mile away from the hotel. That also means that if anything goes wrong there is no one on site to help you. Our door stopped working on the last day of our stay and we were locked out of our room for two hours waiting for someone to come and let us in. I waited on hold for someone to answer the phone for over 20 minutes each time I needed to contact the office. Once we finally got into our room, we couldn't leave because we had no way to re-enter the room. Then at 10pm the maintenance person came to fix the door which was done in under 10 min. Overall the customer service experience was horrible and I would never return to this property. When I asked about a credit or discount because of these problems I was told that the manager would call me but they did not.

You have to drive to a different hotel to actually check in. No elevator so if you have luggage you are carrying it up stairs. The lady at check in was rude and didn’t seem to care we were frustrated with the inconvenience of having to check in at a different location. There are many better options than this

The check in process was frustrating. We showed up the doors were locked with a sign saying to go to another hotel about a mile away to check in. Once we go there the check in was easy. We headed to dinner and then went to our room only to find that the keys did not work. I called to have someone come let us in. I waited on hold for 10 minutes just to be told we had to go back to the other hotel to find the woman outside smoking and no one around. Did we sit on hold so she could smoke? Thank goodness at the same time my husband was about to lose his head Carmen showed up to save the day. She followed us back to the hotel and let us in as our new keys didn't work either. Once in, the room and views were perfect. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was very spacious with a walk-in shower. The porch and chairs were perfect to watch the sunset. Thank you Carmen, we were about to find somewhere else to stay.

Property is next to the beach. In order to check in, you have to go to a different property for your keys, so if you lose them or need a new key you have to drive elsewhere. No staff on property. Room was dirty, cabinets were broken, carpet was stained, and wallpaper was peeling off the walls in multiple places. Completely over priced and needs a lot of work.

The room was amazing, but the walls are paper thin. We had to ask our neighbor to turn down their tv, which was on extremely loud. You also have to drive to a different location to pick up the keys

Very nice quiet property. Beautiful views of the ocean and sunset. The property and maintenance was very responsive when I had an issue with the lock on my door. Highly recommend.

You need to go to other location to pick up keys. Parking tight but available.hotel itself nice with ocean front view.

Ocean view but check in service and follow through is terrible. No support locked out of room etc. No call back and the housekeeping was the only positive in this respect.

Checking in was at a different property which meant there was no one on the property to ask questions.

Beautiful little hotel, in great shape. However, the website says it's a one minute walk to the beach. Absolutely not true. You have to walk about 300 yards from the street to even get onto the beach. That was very disappointing because I have mobility issues and I Splurged for oceanfront thinking I could easily access the beach. Photo is from room. That's how far from the beach you are.

We had an excellent stay at the Inn of the Four Winds. It's located on the northern part of the Promenade where it's a bit quieter and is only a few minutes' walk to Broadway. The room was clean, comfortable and we loved the balcony facing the sunset every night. We'll be back!

It was a very nice place on the Prominade for easy walking

Great location. Right on the boardwalk and 10 min walk to the main drag. Nice being a little further away as it is quiet and the beach isn’t as busy in front of the condo. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location and ocean view.

Very lovely room. We reserved the one bedroom king/queen suit. It was much more spacious than the pictures make it look. We had a separate bedroom with a queen bed, in the living room was a king bed and a pull out queen sofa bed, a living room tv with cable, a nice kitchenette, and a spacious bathroom with full size tub. The bathroom sink and vanity are separate from the tub and toilet which is nice when you have a multiple people in your party. The kitchenette has everything you need; a sink, coffee maker (with coffee, creamers, and sugars), mini fridge, a toaster, as well as dishes and silverware. The property is located along the beach walk and is a nice walk to everything in seaside. We were able to walk everywhere we needed. We had campfires on the beach at night. The property has no staff onsite (except morning housekeeping) checking in is simple and not too far at another location. The only slight complaint I would have about this property is the parking lot and spaces. If you have a larger vehicle you might have a tough time fitting and there’s not much option for on street parking. My family and I are looking forward to visiting again!!

Walkable and close to restaurants and shops.

After reading some reviews I was apprehensive about staying here. My experience was actually pretty great. It’s a bit unusual to check in at a different property but I was notified with all the needed info. I didn’t encounter any problems so I can’t speak for the speed of help. The lady who checked us in, Carmen I believe, was warm and gave us all the info we needed. The room itself was clean and comfortable. No food options but another hotel nearby has a cafe/bakery which we visited easily enough. Overall it was a good value for a large room right on the beach. Would stay again.
