During my business trip, I stayed at this hotel for a week. The hotel's location in the old city is incredibly convenient, with close proximity to shopping, numerous restaurants and bars, and just a few minutes' walk to the metro station. While attending a trade show at the Dusseldorf convention center, the trip took a mere 20 minutes by train. The hotel features a fantastic high-end restaurant with great food and an extensive wine list. Additionally, the breakfast served at the hotel is of top-notch quality with a wide range of options. Despite the small size, the gym is functional. The spa, complete with both wet and dry saunas, is truly spectacular. I wholeheartedly recommend this property.

A comfortable, charming property. Expensive but one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve ever had. The hotel and bar isn’t affiliated with the hotel and it doesn’t open until 6pm, but plenty of options for restaurants that are within 10 minute walk. I had a wonderful massage in their spa.

De medici hotel is gelegen in het hart van de oude stad in een prachtig gebouw. Wij hadden een superior appartement, perfect voor een nachtje met ons 7 maand oud zoontje. De kamer was ruim, proper, en zeer stijlvol. Zowel de kamer als het hotel is als een museum, vol met verwijzingen naar historische artefacten. De spa is imposant, met verwijzingen naar Egypte en een grote mooie sauna. Het personeel was vriendelijk en we kregen zelfs een check out om 14u gratis aangeboden, wat super handig was met onze baby.

Located in the heart of the old town, less than 5 min walk from nearest subway station! Buffet breakfast had plenty of vegan options and the staff were friendly and considerate. Unfortunately the spa was being renovated but I’m sure it’ll be lovely when it reopens. Was also unaware of the 25€ per day parking charge, which I wish we were informed of beforehand.

Had a nice stay and the hotel is gorgeous. The location is excellent by the Rhine and old city, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The air-conditioning was very weak and barely helped at all. Plus the windows only open a slight crack, so even trying that it’s very difficult to get airflow in the room at all… There is only one vent in the room and none in the bathroom. There was also a mouse running through the lobby when we were checking out of the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for a one-night short stay in Düsseldorf. I must say that the location is excellent, right in the Old Town and very close to the Christmas Markets. I booked a Deluxe Double Room (No. 111). The room itself was quite small and a bit worn out, but it still maintained a certain style consistent with the character of the building. Unfortunately, the hotel had a major flaw that significantly affected our stay. The pillows were extremely thin and soft, making it impossible to sleep. I called reception to request firmer pillows, which I believe is a reasonable expectation for a hotel in this category. I was told they would check what was available. About ten minutes later, a staff member arrived with half-size pillows, which were again very soft. As a result, the entire night was a nightmare and we were unable to sleep properly. The hotel certainly has character. I appreciated the art throughout the property and the charm of the building, but it is disappointing that something as basic as proper pillows could not be provided. In addition, the in-room amenities were very limited and consisted only of a single bottle of shampoo and shower gel.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Medici Hotel in September 2025 (Executive double apartment). We absolutely loved the apt and the hotel. The suite was spacious, very modern and had a huge full bathroom, plus a guest toilet. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and luxurious, and all the hotel personnel were very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is also perfectly located in the old city. This is the only place we will stay from now on when we visit Dusseldorf.

The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star review was not having hot water one morning at 7:30am and the hotel staff being in denial about it. Other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay. The valet service was nice...he met us at the door and parked our car which was very welcome after the challenges encountered parking at other hotels. The room was pretty large (didn't care for the pillows, however), and it was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it.

We hadden een executive room geboekt maar kregen een standaard kamer. Daarnaast lag de de kamer aan de straatkant en dat was heel gehorig. Tot in de vroege uurtjes hoorden wij het uitgaansleven en verkeer. Als laatste was er geen warm water in de douche. Al met al was het jammer dat de ervaring het geweldige hotel negatief beïnvloedde.

My wife and I are both allergic to feathers, we advised reception of the allergy. We were given inappropriate pillows that were not for for sleeping (too large - appeared like upholstery cushions). The alternative they provided was a pillow case filed with towels. This is unacceptable for a supposedly 4 star hotel. We emailed the management, ad our email was completely ignored! We had to spend a money to buy pillows for our own. Dreadful service

Beautiful hotel and I’ve stayed here over 12 times due to the great location and quality Unfortunately the rooms next to the road are very noisy on weekends I asked for another room facing the courtyard which is much quieter but staff were unable to offer a replacement option I had hoped that as a regular guest perhaps more effort to find a solution could have been made but otherwise a great hotel

The checkin in was very easy. It was a little confusing about finding the entrance for the car, but once identified the valet parking was very easy. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the Christmas markets and dining opportunities. The only issue was the location of the rooms. They were on the outside of the building near bars which played loud music until 4 AM, making it difficult to sleep. The staff was always helpful and worked very hard to make the stay pleasant.

This hotel is amazing! It far exceeded my expectations. The hotel has amazing art, and it is in the best location in Dusseldorf. The hotel staff were super friendly, the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had on our two week trip, and our room was perfect. I highly recommend it if you are traveling to Dusseldorf.

Gorgeous property! The service was great. Easy access to shopping areas, short walks to cafes and restaurants, and the old town. My only surprise was that the hotel restaurant was not open for dinner....maybe because it was a Monday night. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this property.
