TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lawrence Downtown

The carpet was old and worn away in several areas throughout the hotel, part of the wall had noticeable water damage, the gates for parking were broken on one side making it a one-way instead of just opening the broken gate on the other side. Staff was very friendly, but the hotel itself has seen better days

It was a lovely stay. Enjoyed the patio. Everything was clean and updated. Helpful and always kind staff had cool new shirts. Pool was clean. My favorite place to stay in Lawrence.

Bed wasn’t super comfortable—a little saggy Bathroom floor could have been cleaner. Disappointed the hot tub was not working. And doors from Garage to the hotel were often left open. That said, we did love the location!

I brought my dog, and the set up was perfect for us, plus I loved the kitchenette- it was great. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Couldn’t really ask for more. Oh- and the free indoor parking was really nice!

location was excellent with regard to downtown Lawrence access. great staff. our room was above the garage which has a door which must be activated to enter. that was a dissatisfier, especially at 2 in the morning. all in all, a positive experience.

Location is awesome! We were in the middle of downtown which had a cool down to watch hipster vibe. It was a very walkable area and felt completely safe. We arrived at night and utilized their drive up check in. Parked in the convenient underground parking. Continental breakfast was awesome! We had a variety to choose from: an oatmeal bar, cold cereal bar, or hot breakfast (eggs, biscuits and gravel, sausage/baccon), various fruit, various yogurt flavors, apple juice, orange juice, milk, tea, coffee, hot cocoa. Superb! Pool had great hours of availability! Gym looked cool. Room was amazing! Clean! Roomy! Great temperature management. Tons of storage space for extended stays.

This was a nice hotel, but not for the price. My shower was lukewarm both days, the pool was not working and the internet was not great.

Hands down the best place to stay in town. Great parking. Friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. Super clean too!

We loved it! Our room was very comfortable, with a small kitchen & a big fridge! The room had comfortable bed & a nice couch right next to a light that was perfect for reading. The shower was great, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smelled great & felt luxurious. This room would be great for a business trip, with a large desk & plenty of storage. The location was absolutely perfect, right around the corner from coffee shops, restaurant, and several great little dive bars, all within walking distance! It was a little hard to get in & out of the parking garage, but that wasn't a deal breaker for us. We really liked it here, and we would definitely stay again!

This place is way overpriced for what it is. The bed was not comfortable, the pool smelled very strange (not like chlorine), the room fluctuated between being too cold and too warm, and then there was a mysterious $5 charge days after our stay (parking and breakfast was supposed to be included?). Only one of the elevators goes to the garage and when you push the call button, you have no way of knowing one will arrive (poor planning). The building has a great view of the parking garage across the street. They did have gluten free muffins for breakfast which is more than most hotels provide.

Great size room, with a beautiful little kitchenette. Very clean. Closets were better than I have at home!

Free breakfast options are ok.Xbox won’t run here.They really need to upgrade their beds. It’s ok for a night, but they are extremely firm for any extended stays. No one ever cleaned the room even after multiple weeks asking. Every day we had to ask for supplies and towels or bedding. I have changed all the sheets in the suite by myself every time. Two months later, they still haven’t cleaned the room. I bought cleaning supplies and trash bags for both rooms and toilet paper but don’t have any access to a broom or vacuum. It’s a nice hotel but they are definitely short staffed with the housekeepers. It’s a little pricey to be servicing the room with supplies by myself. I have even given the front desk a list of items, more than once, that the room needed for the stay. Sometimes I would get the items fast and other times they just didn’t even come upstairs. One important thing was that the staff was nice. However, I don’t believe that upper management handled a situation with another guest properly. Solo travelers, there’s no security at this hotel. You are staying where you’re on your own if there are any issues. Be careful and aware of this. It’s a clean property and pool with a beautiful courtyard.The maintenance team was very helpful and always friendly.I would recommend this hotel to anyone unless you need really fast internet for work or your kids want to play a game console.The internet connection drops or just won’t connect.Very Hard beds but love it here.Great people.

I had rented out a room for my parents to come and visit. The Room was really nice and had a full fledge kitchen inside it. The only thing that concern me was the internet. It could of been the tv but we was keep getting the infinity lagging circle. Besides the room was awesome.

The rooms were nice and big, staff helpful, breakfast was good. My booking said free high speed internet but I could never get the WiFi to work and was told you need to be a Hilton Honors member for the WiFi.

The room has everything you need and nice size.

The sweet lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We asked her some questions about parking and food and she answered them all with a smile. The room was very clean and quiet. We only stayed one night but it would be excellent for a vacation stay or business stay, as it has a kitchenette with everything you need. The shower was hot with good water pressure, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner worked great. We will stay here again.

Great location and excellent staff

Staff were friendly. Extremely clean. The problem was the people stomping around upstairs all night and the baby screaming down the hall into the morning and being booked by the storage door for housekeeping. I had zero sleep and was told management would contact me. I did not receive a call. Eggs were not refreshed so they were almost gone and very dry. Luckily they had other decent options. Usually every time is excellent but this was a miss.

Check-in was very prompt and smooth. The front desk was extensive about what amenities the hotel offers. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast service. We were told that the breakfast service was until 11 am. When we went downstairs to the lobby at 10:30 am, breakfast service was all put away.

When I checked in, the front desk staff was very helpful. I had a few questions, concerning parking and checkout time, and they quickly gave me the basic overview of what I needed to know. The checkout process was also very efficiently executed.

So close to tons of shopping, restaurants, and our concert venue, The Granada. We were able to walk everywhere we went, perfect location! And very clean and accommodating!

Pictures of the property make it seem much better than it was. Room bathroom needed to be updated. Breakfast was meh, not really worth it.

Love the courtyard. The bed was good. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast variety has gone downhill a bit lately. They clean it up and put it away early sometimes. The juice machine was out. Not enough milk cartons. No raw sugar or real half and half. Everything else is almost perfect!

Rooms were very comfortable with thoughtful storage and kitchen facilities. Great location. Only complaint is the breakfast bar was poorly stocked. Plates, utensils, food were non existent or inadequate for the number of people waiting to eat.
