We had a wonderful time! The pier access was a major plus! Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. The pool and outdoor area/fire pits were all really nice for relaxing evenings back at the hotel. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had! The kitchenette was really handy. There were a couple of minor issues with the room. The tv stand was broken/missing a door, and the bathroom door stuck and didn’t shut properly. It was a girls’ trip though and none of us minded. The price of the room couldn’t be beaten, and we would definitely come back!

We have stayed at Anchor Inn many times over the years and I can say that this has always been a great motel but now after the renovations, this is an even better motel. My only complaint would be that there is no access for any disabled persons. I already knew this but, seems like a ramp to just the first floor wouldn’t be that hard to create. Until you need those things, you just don’t appreciate how important they really are.

The property advertises that has a pool however Anchor Inn does not have a pool, you have to go tho the next door property to use their pool. At our arrival while checking the room, I noticed the bathroom was dirty and the sheets of both beds were dirty, we were moved to a different room, so that was inconvenient after we unpacked. We will never stay again in this place. Too much money and is not worth it.

When i first walked into the room i noticed the carpet hasn't been vacuumed in months and im not Exaggerating...Cobwebs on the curtains. I spoke to the front desk and they will come up there to clean the room again... It definitely looks like a party hotel (Motel).I will never stay at a Extended Hotel Again...

The place was very clean and nice! My only complaint is that the free breakfast is only for two people a day. So if you are a family of four, you have to pay for two. And the breakfast definitely wasn’t worth that.

Our room was on the second floor of the Anchor Inn. We had a nice view from balcony with a partial view of the water. A bit of disappointment was the bathroom because it had two large wall patches in the tub area that were not painted including the walls where they meet the ceiling. Also the bottom portion of the tv cabinet was damaged and not well maintained. The beds were comfortable but the mattresses should either be rotated or replaced because of worn in body positioning. The entrance door and door sill (rotten wood) was leaking outside air when windy outside. Room lighting definitely needs to be brighten up and a comfortable chair added.

Have stayed here approximately 10 times. This is the first time that breakfast was not included. Disappointing. Television service is terrible with few channel choices. Especially disappointed that there were no sports channels. WiFi was not dependable.

This stay was regrettable. I rented three rooms here for my extended family. The hotel charged $30 more per room per night than listed in our hotels.com reservation. Our rooms failed to provide sustained hot water for more than 2 minutes, TV, and—in one room—functioning lights. While the other issues were never resolved, the kind front desk staff, who seemed afraid of their manager, took the time to switch a lamp from an unoccupied room, of which there were many. There was also a jagged piece of metal hanging off of the broken bedframe, which my husband bumped when getting into bed and was lucky he didn’t hurt himself on. The reservation details promised a hot breakfast buffet. There wasn’t anything but some pre-wrapped pastries that were not complimentary. Ishan the manager didn’t resolve any of it and said to call hotels.com.

We went to Chincoteague for the pony swim. Our hotel was two blocks from the fairgrounds and our room had a deck off of it overlooking the water. Everything was within walking distance and the hotel staff were very helpful with directions and places to visit. The last night of the festival there were fireworks that we watched from our deck. Awesome. I would definitely stay here again
