Ensueno Holbox & Beach Club

My husband and I stayed at the property for 7 nights, and absolutely loved every minute of it. The free continental breakfast beat our expectations. The property was extremely well kept, and beautifully landscaped. Amazing views from the top floors, which were public spaces. This really was cool as we were able to spend time lounging and swimming in privacy most days. A lovely boutique hotel. The room was perfect; very clean, with small kitchenette, comfortable beds, all linens provided, daily housekeeping when requested, and our own private patio with hammock, table/chairs was fantastic. We loved the availability of drinking water as you can never have enough and we were able to replenish our supply throughout each day. The manager Emelio and Gabby at the front desk were amazing, and helped us with bookings and provided valuable information about the island. Without those two our stay would have been much different, and we most likely would not have experienced as much as we did. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. The beach club was a 2 min walk from the resort, and the food, drinks, and ambiance was perfect. There were a few other restaurants and a small market about 1 minute away. We had some of our best meals at La Cabina. The most delicious pizza and margaritas. We will be returning, and we highly recommend this resort. There was nothing we did not like about our stay, it was one of our best trips ever!

Excelente el trato del front desk, todo muy bien, solo dos comentarios. La escalera que da acceso al rooftop con alberca está sumamente resbalosa me da la impresión que la impregnan de aceite y el agua que hay de la alberca me resbale y me pegue. Otro tema es el desayuno que se vuelve monótono cuando te quedas varios días. Fuera de eso todo muy bien

Beautiful surroundings and view. The room was suitable for the whole family and we could all enjoy the poo, beach and hammocks. We went kayaking one morning in kayaks from the hotel.

Nice clean place near the beach. Access to the beach club is great. Most of the staff is helpful.

Hotel impeccablement tenu, très bel emplacement à deux pas de la plage, petit déjeuner bon et le beach club très sympa et délicieux. Tout était parfait (sauf le personnel du petit déjeuner) je vous conseil vivement

La struttura è molto bella,lo staff super e la posizione ottima a due passi dal mare, lettini per gli ospiti al Carolinda beach e 15 minuti a piedi dal centro.

Der Innenhof mit Pool und Garten ist traumhaft schön und sehr gepflegt. Den dazugehörigen Beach-Club haben wir nicht genutzt. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr sauber und geräumig. Nur leider ist die Ausstattung schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück war ok (Auswahl zwischen Pancakes, Toast mit Butter/Marmelade oder Yogurt/Granola/Früchte). Für die eine Nacht waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Sehr süßes Hotel. Sauber. Große Zimmer. Hängematte vor dem Zimmer. Nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Gemütliche Atmosphäre abends mit Lichtern. Zugang zum Beachclub.

The check in was great. Both ladies were very helpful. They helped me book transportation back to cancun. They were always friendly and ready to assist. The rooms were decent accommodations and love the space and proximity to the beach. We spent one day in Carolinda and enjoyed it. Breakfast was good and only wished it was served earlier then 830 so I could take advantage before leaving property. We only used the pool once to cool off and it was good. I would definitely recommend for the price and location. Plus the front desk ladies were superb. I would definitely use this resort if I go back to Holbox.

Personal muy amable, poca variedad para desayunar, habitaciones limpias y con todas las comodidades. Lo único por lo que no reciben excelente de mi parte; es por el wifi, pésima señal, la mayor parte del tiempo no funciona, sobre todo en la habitación.

Es un hotel pequeño pero muy confortable la atención de su personal muy buena y son muy amables el lugar está muy limpio si regresaría

This review is rated solely on the standard of the rooms vs. the price paid. The grounds and customer service were good as far as we experienced, but we didn’t really stay around the hotel grounds throughout the day as the island is stunning. With regards to the rooms, these were by far the poorest rooms of our entire trip travelling around Mexico. The rooms are vary dated, and are in dire need of an upgrade as they are about 15-20 years old. The beds are old spring beds which were not comfortable at all and the bedsheets felt a little damp. the fridge in the kitchen didn’t work, there were tiles missing from the kitchen units, the curtains were old and missing curtain hooks, the shower was extremely poor and the tissue dispensers were the same as the ones you see in schools. For over £400 a night we would have expected a little luxury, however this ended up being the worst room of our trip costing over four times more than any other room we stayed in. If you’re after nice hotel grounds but very basic rooms then this is the place for you, otherwise I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I’m covered in bed bug bites. The hotel lost power and failed to provide air conditioning even after the power was restored several hours later. The room was much smaller that it appeared in photos. Breakfast was okay. Staff communication was great. Access to beach club was nice, but over priced. Island was flooded and taxis were a rip off. I’m covered in itchy open wounds.

Me gustó el concepto del lugar, sin embargo esperaba que el colchón, por ejemplo, hubiera sido más confortable

De las 3 noches que estuvimos, sólo la última hubo aire acondicionado y el ventilador de la habitación parece que estaba mal direccionado porque ni si quiera se sentía que tirara pizca de aire.

Super family oriented! Loved the property! The only complaint is the Air conditioner… it gets pretty hot with only one AC unit in a family suite!

The breakfast is very limited and the hours too, you have to remind them to clean the room, and there is no reception desk open very early in the morning.

La atención en la recepción es excelente, rebasó con mucho lo esperado. Amable, sonríe, dispuesta a resolver necesidades turísticas, el lugar es limpio, agradable, recomiendo!!!

Las instalaciones, ubicación y personal son muy buenas, estas alejado del pueblo y del ruido. OJO no se ubica en la playa, está a 100 metros

Esta muy cerca de la playa y el club beach tienen un excelente servicio

We had such a great time! The breakfast was good, the staff was awesome, and the property was beautiful. The only tip I would give anyone is that you are billed for the eggs ( don’t pay at breakfast, you are billed for them on your room charge. Oh well, at least the super sweet servers got good tips on those days!) Thank you so much and I hope we are back soon!

Super buen hotel, cerca de la plays, cómodo, el desayuno que venden ahi, sencillo pero rico. Tiene todo lo que se necesita, super recomendable.
