This hotel was picked by another party for me, so I had no idea what to expect. It was easy to check-in and the staff were very friendly. The room was plenty big enough for me and was nice and clean, although there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There is a coffee machine in the foyer, but I could not work out how to use and some of the other guests had the same problem. Overall though, a good experience.

It is a conveniently located hotel but the rooms were dirty, mold was developing in the room and hair on the floor. Like just a dirty space I wouldn't stay here again unless I was desperate.

Overall, the stay was satisfactory. The staff were very helpful. The nespresso machine was great for morning. The remote controls and telephone were, however, quite dusty (in both rooms I stayed on different days). They could be cleaned too.

I stay here often and it is usually good. Great location and rooms are small but ok. The air-conditioning could do with some maintenance and sometimes the bathrooms are not as clean as they should be. Hot water and shower could be improved.

I really liked this hotel. The location is excellent & close to all of the main CBD features. The room was perfectly functional. The only issues I personally had was that the bed wasn't comfortable for me (it felt like it wasn't flat & was higher in the middle & rolled out to the edge) & the shower, whilst fantastic, just didn't have much to stop it from spreading around near the toilet & well beyond the shower recess. Apart from that, I would highly recommend it :-).

We loved the location (great Surry Hills restaurants and right by Central Station) and the hotel was clean and the staff friendly and responsive. What I didn't realize is that the bathroom is located by the windows so you always had to close the shades when you used it . That was super awkward and inconvenient. Weird disco balls and overly dark/moody design. Not likely to book again but not a bad experience. Just bad bathroom design.

The hotel is clean and conveniently located near the central station. The interior decoration of the hotel is not exactly to my taste. The lobby/breakfast area is too dark. The bathroom shower only has curtains and transparent glass panels around it and no shower door. The shower stall does not provide any privacy nor does it keep the shower from splashing into the toilet area because the curtains are hanging 3 feet off the ground. What was the interior designer thinking?

2nd time I stayed in this hotel when in Sydney! Very good location close to Central Station and close to many restaurants and bars in Surry Hills. During both my stays I did not have a room with daylight (no real window), otherwise the room is okay.

really well placed hotel near central for a great price. interesting decor but smart and i love the free 24 hour tea and latte's and pastries for all residents. some of the rooms are abit dark and some of the lighting in the rooms could be better but i can't complain when you look at the great price to stay as its comfortable. only thing is bed is on wheels so can tend to move away from the headboard.

The staff are extremely helpful arranging a driver to the airport ($22 at the time of this comment) train $19…as well as any other questions you have. A 24/7 coffee bar and complimentary continental breakfast. The only negative! The only window in the open bathroom is covered with window film for privacy….so no “room with a view”!

57 hotel is a great hotel to stay in , near good transport links, Central Station and the light rail, also lots of buses pass through the area. Plenty of eating places in the area. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Bernadette who went the extra mile, 57 Hotel is my go to hotel when I stay in Sydney, I would recommend this hotel .

Convenient location. I arrived early in the morning after a night bus ride, but the staff wouldn't allow me to access a room earlier unless I pay a $40 extra starting only at 11:00 instead of 14pm. Night front desk clerk was quite unwelcoming, and the room was too chilly at night when you closed the (noisy) heat - no warmer bed sheet in the room as well. All-day free coffee and tea was pleasant though.

Das kleine Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe von der Central Station und ist daher wunderbar zu Fuß vom Bahnhof aus zu erreichen. Vom Bahnhof aus zum Flughafen sind es ebenfalls nur vier Stationen. Insoweit ist es perfekt gelegen. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es viele kleine Geschäfte und Restaurants. Es liegt in der Nähe der Gay Area, so dass die Bevölkerung in der näheren Umgebung als bunt bezeichnet werden kann. Ich war schon vier mal in dem Hotel und würde dort immer wieder absteigen. Vor dem Hintergrund meiner wiederholten Aufenthalte fand ich es allerdings befremdlich, dass mir 40 $ für einen Checkin vor 15:00 Uhr in Rechnung gestellt worden. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel nur empfehlen.

I have stayed at the hotel multiple times and no problems. My wife stayed on this occasion and found that the room was a bit tired and bed uncomfortable. The surrounding areas are near Central Station, while I have not felt.unsafe on the walk from Central.to the hotel, my wife did find this experience unsettling as there were drug and alcohol affected people to navigate.

Very good location and the rooms are ideal for a short night stay. About a four minute walk from Central Station and close to the light rail too. They also provided complementary pastries, fruits, tea and coffee for breakfast, which was a lovely surprise!
