Notre séjour c'est plutôt bien déroulé au sein de cette guesthouse. La chambre était bien, elle contenait un toilette, un lavabo et un placard en plus des lits qui étaient confortables. La douche commune n'était pas très moderne ni entres bon état mais suffisait largement. La cuisine commune était vraiment petite, heureusement ce soir la il n'y avait pas grand monde car je pense qui sinon il est compliqué de pouvoir cuisiner ou se préparer quelque chose à cause du manque de place. Les canapés, chaises, tables, balcons et télé mis à disposition dans les salons sont agréables et rendent le lieu chaleureux. le petit déjeuner est bien, suffisant bien qu'il n'y ait pas un énorme choix, il suffit largement !

Very nice welcome & explanation of facilities/parking. Good sized room and nice chairs/sofas in common areas. Kitchen a bit pokie/cramped for multiple users. Entrance driveway hard on cars with rough surface and big potholes. The breakfast was very nice with selection of fruit, cereal, toast, waffles, cheese, cold meats and juices. Staff all very friendly. However the higher price for this accommodation was a surprise.

Shared showerroom was a bit slimy but having our own toilet was great. 15mins from town where there are restaurants as it wasnt really equipped for making dinner on site due to the lack of facilities. Small twin room as well but fine for a night. Parking available as well.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber. Es gab kein riesiges Frühstück, aber wir hatten alles, was es brauchte und wurden gut satt. Dafür ist es ein kleines gemütliches Haus und sehr ruhig. Wir würden auch wieder buchen, wenn wir noch einmal in Island wären. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Pretty clean and the breakfast was a bonus but you must bring everything, no soap in the bathroom. My daughter’s bed collapsed, mattresses were really soft and the towels smelled musty. Not a place for bigger people, you have to squeeze to get into the shower and I was worried all night about the bed support. I would call this place a private room hostel, not hotel….name is deceiving.

Shower was so small and it opened in the corner so that you have to enter it sideways. Breakfast was not typical. Luncheon meat and dried out bread were served. Shared space was loud with younger crowd up all night. Bed was two twin beds pushed together that separated when slept on. Definitely over priced for a single night stay.

As advertised - the room was able to accommodate me and my 3 children. We were treated to a show of the northern lights during our stay. We had to depart rather early but the staff was amazing and accommodated us with hot coffee and bagged lunches for the trip. We were in the main building - but I would return and stay in one of the beautiful cabins.

This was our least favorite stay on our 11 day trip. The facility and the rooms are really run-down and are just not worth the price paid. The breakfast was mediocre and we did not appreciate being filmed during breakfast and having every guest asked what room they are in so they can charge you a full meal cost if you take a cracker to eat later. They also are very unorganized, stating they had no reservation for us and then finding it 5 minutes later.

We spent five nights in this Guesthouse, 2 adults with 2 kids to explore the region. The room was ok. The shower is not anymore in the best condition, doors stuck, the small towel rail for the sink was broken and no possibilities to hang up the big towels in the bathroom, so we used the two most reliable clothes hanger we found. The shared/common area in the Guesthouse appeared to us extemporaneous, one of the chairs in the lounge was broken since longer time (see other raitings). The breakfast was good, also that they offered to change the bed linen and towels after three days. Some of the service personnel was friendly, other not communicative at all. Would you pay about 260 Euro per night for this very low basic level in another country? Hence, we wouldn't recommend this accommodation to our friends.

The area where this guesthouse is located is one of the most beautiful in Iceland. The room was very clean and comfortable, all I really needed. I stayed only two nights, but I would have loved to stay longer. It's very easy to find, meters away from Highway 1.

An excellent guesthouse! We stayed here on the way back from Jokulsarlon. kirkjubæjarklaustur is only about 10min drive away, with lots of dining options. The room was spacious and clean. We had a room with a private bathroom, which was really convenient. The room stayed really warm, and we couldn't keep the window open wide enough to stay cool during the night... Breakfast was excellent!
