This was a very nice hotel but I must warn every one that the parking situation was horrible. No play to park unless you want to park in a City garage right next to it and get raped. Good luck trying to figure out how to pay.

Overall excellent - the one big minus...the fitness facility. Like many hotels: clearly an afterthought. Tucked away in a dark corner in the basement. The elliptical was rickety and clearly needed service. It was unfortunate as I will not stay there again because of this one deficiency.

The Good: Clean & Comfortable Room. Good location for walking. The Bad: The Guest Parking is Not Really Guest Parking -- it is paid on-street parking or paid city parking in a garage attached to the hotel (but not affiliated with the hotel). The front desk staff gave conflicting and incorrect info about how to use and pay for the parking garage. Frustrating. Check in and check out was slow. Hard to spot from street level. Drove around the block twice before spotting the door.

Excellent location from which to tour Reykjavik, the Golden Circle and South Coast. The hotel had three good restaurants including a beer garden and buffet restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel looked very impressive.

The parking options weren’t ideal yet the staff helped us avoid high costs of the ramp. We walked to city center yet drove to sky lagoon. The beer garden was great after a long day of adventures. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - lots of fresh food and bakery items.

Everything was just ok. It was terribly hot in the rooms even with the windows open. Lost an earring and looked under the bed and it was dirty. Looked like no one had swept or cleaned under there in months.

Stayed 5 nights would have left after one but had prepaid. Sound from room to room was ABSOLUTELY the worst. 4 nights of intermittent sleep.. last night one good one. Given the cost totally unacceptable. complained several times, hotel was full first three days so couldn’t change rooms then person above checked out..I thought maybe they were just noisy. NOPE next person just as noisy heavy foot fall, moving stuff etc. 12:45-1:30AM crazy noise. Would never stay here again. Also this is their “flagship” Fosshotel. Unbeliable. Everything else was actually great, staff, breakfast, housekeeping.

For a big hotel in Iceland, they should have better options for blackout curtains. I asked if the curtains could be replaced or even doubled as there was another track and was told it couldn’t be. The room was too bright making it difficult to get rest if you’re a person who is affected by the brightness. The phone all took 4 days to get fixed for a 5 day trip.

The hotel is quite expensive. Not near the main streets of Reykjavik; about a 25 minute walk. The breakfast is crowded and overcooked. The room is hot, no ac and the window is small and provided little cool air. Overall, it's just ok

Our room had a nice view. It was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but plenty of selection. Matty at the front desk was very polite and friendly. Will definitely be staying there again when I return to Iceland with my girls.

Stayed at the Foss Hotel Reyakjavik for three nights and had an excellent experience. It was comfortable, clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had an issue with no heat in the room when we first checked in and they immediately moved us to another room. The staff is very professional and friendly and answered all our questions including parking tips that told us where to park for the best possible rates. Loved Iceland and can't wait to return- would definitely come back to this hotel in a minute.

The whole team at Fosshotel were honestly a blessing to my trip in Iceland. They were on call to assist with all my requirements months in advance, even until my last checkout at the hotel. The staff members are so lovely and treat you very professionally but also like good friends. I am so grateful to the team for making this trip so so special and really going the extra mile for some of the requirements I had. The facilities are very good, the hotel is in the perfect location and easy to get to. The rooms are well kept, clean and spacious. I have been to some amazing hotels all around the world however nothing can compare to quality service and that is exactly what this hotel delivers. I will forever be grateful and most definitely be returning to Iceland, where I will be staying at this hotel again! Thank you all so much.

Modern, clean property. Rooms are spacious by European standards. Many heating features- can use the automatic window to vent the room. Only issues- depending on which side of the hotel you are on, you may hear tour buses unloading late (past 9pm). Early check in wasn’t offered/available for me- though it was offered to the guests ahead of me. I would have appreciated if- like other hotels- they texted when the room was ready. Some staff were abrasive to me. It’s adjacent to bus stop 12 if you are taking the flybus+.

Hotel was so ideally located, bus stop 12 just outside and all the excursions did a free pickup from this stop so worked out perfectly. Room was cleaned daily and breakfast was good. Easy walk into the main area for restaurants in the evening.

The biggest hotel in Reykjavik. Local tour buses stop outside the hotel to pick up guests. 20 minutes walk to the city center. It does not seem long, but it could be an uncomfortable walk when outside is windy and cold. Well, it is Iceland.

Property is a few streets over from the main shopping/restaurant area. It took us10min walk to get to this area but was very easy safe and quiet. Pickup for tours was right outside hotel (bus stop 12), but required a change at the main bus terminal if you are coming/going to airport with one of the airport shuttles- this is likely the case with most hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Loved the location of this property, it was not right in the centre but centrally located enough to be quiet. Very walkable to centre which shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The best thing about the location is that it is right next to Bus Stop 12 which is the central meeting point for all Tour buses and also convenient for airport pick up/drop off. The Beer Garden hotel bar is a cool place to hang out. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are Scandi style functional with minimum fuss. Coffee machine and pods in the room. They were very responsive to emails before my arrival as I wanted to arrange for a cake for my husband’s bday when we arrived. Room cleaning during stay needs to be arranged beforehand as it does not take place unless requested. Reception can help you book tours and bus transfers. Will recommend this hotel.

Great location in Reykjavik. Short walking distance to the water front and Laugavegur Street where shops and restaurants are located. Also bus stop 12 is right outside the hotel so it’s very convenient for pick up and drop off for tours etc

Best location ever , very close to downtown, restaurants and cafes , and just a minute from stop 12 where all tours operate from ... The hotel itself is average and quite expensive for the service provided , breakfast is very basic with limited options ... I asked for slippers and was informed it's with extra charges, which is something I've never encountered before as a frequent traveler who been to more than 30 countries and stayed in different hotels chains across the world

A bit of a walk from the city center but not too bad. A few good dining options within 5 min walking distance. Gym is a bit too small, there are actually quite a lot of people using it in the morning. Breakfast options vary, some days they have more options than others.

Great location to get out and about and to use the bus stop pick up for excursions. Room comfortable and clean. Staff all friendly and helpful. I would have given 5 * but the food at the buffet breakfast and evening meal was lukewarm at best. If this was improved it would be five stars all the way

We have stayed here twice and been fortunate to stay in a suite. We loved the large room and the view towards the Atlantic Ocean. The staff were very helpful and professional at all times. Our only complaint is that breakfast time is extremely busy and chaotic. We only had breakfast once and it didn’t feel value for money.

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer, gut ausgestattet und ein sehr gutes Wifi. Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr umfangreich und hat von Pancakes über Nutella, über mehrere frische Obstsorten und einem warmen Buffet alles. Parken ist ok, wenn man weiß wo. Zu Fuß ist die Hauptstadt gut zu erkunden. Einziger Nachteil Expedia Platinum Member werden erst nach Aufforderung mit einem Freigetränk beglückt.
