The hotel is centrally located making walking through out the Rossio Square area easy. Shopping and dining options are plentiful. Some of our best meals were at Taberna do Lis, the hotel restaurant. Hotel staff were professional, friendly and had a great sense of humor.

A bit difficult to access with car, but that is because the city of Lisbon is difficult to negotiate. /the receptionist was beyond kind, warm and efficient, and she was there throughout our stay and was always welcoming and friendly when we returned. The parking was easy (2 blocks away) and although pricey, it’s a city, and we received a discount through the hotel (35 euros vs. 48 euros). Location excellent.

O Hotel é muito bem localizado , com comércio , restaurantes , transporte tudo bem próximos . Por se tratar de uma área muito turística , recomendo que faça uma pequena busca . Mas fica a dica : o restaurante do Hotel “Taverna Lis” é muitooo bom ! Eu não teria dúvidas em me hospedar de novo no mesmo hotel !

The location is perfect! The staff was incredibly helpful. I probably wouldn’t recommend purchasing the breakfast package only because I showed up at 9 am and a good portion of the food was gone. There are so many other options right out the front door. If you have a car, buy the parking pass from the hotel (20 euros) the underground garage is about a 5 minute walk - be sure to load and unload your luggage on the one way street in front of the hotel. Our room was incredibly small but that may just be the European way. The beds were very firm. If you desire wash cloths, bring your own - again it seems to be a European thing. I could not hear the street noise below - that was a win. I would recommend a stay here.

Charming hotel in a centrally located -- but relatively quiet -- part of Lisbon. The staff members -- especially Leandro and Ines -- were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's restaurant was excellent. And while our room was small (as one would expect in European cities), the bathroom was bigger than we anticipated.

Front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating. They arranged airport shuttle both ways. Staff communicated with me via email a number of times before our vacation. Very reassuring that they were so receptive. Had breakfast in restaurant every morning and dinner for our last nite. We had the welcome drinks and discount on bill. Our room was small but I knew that when I booked. Very clean and comfortable. We will have good memories, thank you.

We did not enjoy our stay. The reviews said the rooms were small, but they were so tiny you couldn't even walk around the bed. My husband and I couldn't even get around each other. The room also smelled like mold and the only way to help that was to open the balcony door. Also the air conditioning did not work and when I called they said they couldn't do anything because they didn't control the ac and neither could we. Once again we had to sleep with the balcony door open so as to not be hot. This was not good because it was an extremely loud street with two restaurants/bar right across the street and mostly there's a loud metal grate on the street right near the corner and every car that passed over it made a really loud noise. The bathroom was clean and so were the sheets. I wish I hadn't booked this hotel and I wouldn't recommend it.

Super location. Staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was just okay. We had a super weird smell in the room and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor each time. Also the rooms are tiny… and I mean tiny! There are 10 inches at most on one side of the bed.

We loved the location, the Main Street was with in a minute walk . Coffee shops , restaurants down the block . The room was small however clean , our only discomfort was that the room had an unpleasant smell . We had to keep the window open at all times even as we slept. Not sure how to pint point the order, but if the window was closed we were not able to handle the smell . We had room 308 our other friends had a different room on same floor and the had no issue. We did not report the problem, we made the best of the situation. As long as the window was opened we could support the nasty smell .

OK, so the rooms are small. Really small. You can tell that from the photos. But they are full of character, with French windows onto Juliet balcony, nicely updated, spotless, bed is super comfortable, and everthing works - plumbing, heat, wifi. Staff is super helpful, breakfst is great with lots of variety. Location can't be beat, and if you want to be in a historic building in the middle of everything, small rooms is the price you pay.

We only stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the location in Lisbon. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. Our room was lovely and spacious facing the road (front side of the hotel). We had booked an upgraded room size. The only negative on the room was the loud noise that occurred whenever a car ran over one loose manhole cover. I would therefore recommend a room at the back of the hotel. Regardless I would stay here again.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Being able to store our luggage before and after check out was so helpful. The rooms are very quiet and clean despite the hotel being centrally located in the city centre.

Staff was very helpful upon arrival and we were able to store our luggage before check in. The rooms and facility were very nice and clean. The rooms are quite small especially if you have a lot of luggage, but we didn’t mind much because everything else was perfect. Rooms are sound proof, which is great for light sleepers like me. Staff helped us book tours to Sintra and a Fado dinner experience. HIGHLY recommend doing both as those were my favorite parts of our trip to Portugal, and very reasonably priced. The restaurant downstairs is PHENOMENAL. Breakfast everyday was fantastic and we even went there for dinner twice as it was so delicious. The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the city center. It’s very walkable in my opinion. I 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when I come back to Lisbon. It truly was a memorable stay and a great way to start off my trip to Portugal.

I had issues with the staff when I got in. They had a strict pause the attitude about early check-in and they were rude about it. I had emailed about it that we would be flying all night and then we would need the room earlier if possible they said in the reply that they will do what they can to accommodate.

Hotel Lis was wonderful. The rooms themselves are a little small but we didn’t mind, we didn’t spend too much time in them. The location is perfect, pretty central and walkable to restaurants and things to see. The staff was helpful and super friendly! I would definitely recommend.

The location is centrally located, very close to Santa Justa lift, just a few easy downhill short blocks from Praca de Comercio and waterfront. Great breakfast in the attached restaurant. Front desk Staff are always present and cheerfully helpful.
