Check In verlief reibungslos und angenehm. Die Rezeption fällt nicht direkt auf und bietet wenig Platz, aber es funktionierte sehr gut. Zimmer 308 mit Blick auf die schöne und ruhige Straße. Alles gut ausgestattet. Das Bad ist etwes eng, aber schön. Das Personal ist unglaublich engagiert, vor allem morgens beim Frühstück. Der Bereich ist ebenfalls recht eng, aber das Angebot ist schon high end für diese Hotelkategorie. Mehr gibt es nur noch in 5 Sterne Hotels. Perfekte Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden. Parkhaus gehört zwar nicht direkt zum Hotel, der Eingang ist aber nur ein paar Schritte auf der Rückseite und es gab 15% Rabatt für die Parkkosten. Alles in allem nahezu perfekter Aufenthalt.

Staff was welcoming & knowledgable. Well appointed, comfortable bed & accomodations. Walk to food, shopping, transportation, etc. Close to the port & train station. Taxi across the street. Breakfast was delicious w/ great assortment of food. Restaurant food & bar was very good. We stayed twice: at departure for our cruise & at return. We highly recommend Hotel Oleana.

The hotel is ‘cool’ BUT the clear glass doors on the toilet area is a bit much. Total lack of privacy. The hosts at the reception area provided different information to different guests. When we checked in the host did not tell us at all about the fact that the two restaurants that were adjacent to the hotel both would give us a 25% discount if we ate there- I only learned that because today I was sitting and waiting to leave the hotel when I heard another host tell a couple about that. Perhaps ALL staff members need same training or a checklist to make sure each guest has the same information. The hotel breakfast was just ok. Very little variation from day to day.

Great property with a great location. I loved the distinct look and feel of the property - the shades of purple everywhere was quite unique when it comes to hotels. The nearby parking garage was convenient, and there's no need to drive around the city once you arrive - everything is within walking distance. Would recommend!

Det perfekte hotell for en Bergenstur. Usedvanlig hyggelige, "nære", vennlige personer i betjeningen og restauranten. Ideell beliggenhet. Vakker utsikt mot Ole Bulls plass, uten støy. Hotel Oleana was excellent except for a couple of minor issues. -The elevator didn't work properly or was out of order. - The housekeeping staff took our key card out of the room holder, thus turning off all power. We were trying to recharge electronics. They claimed it was a fire hazard to leave power on in the room. They kept the key card. We needed to get a replacement. The staff was otherwise professional and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. It was in an excellent location. Loved the decor.

I was staying here with my significant other for vacation. We stayed 7 nights while doing day trips around Norway. This was an excellent room, with some minor issues. On the good side: Very clean. Spectacular breakfast buffet. Friendly and responsive staff. For the negatives: The main issue was that it was an extraordinarily small room. We've stayed in small rooms before (e.g. in NYC), but this takes the cake. If our suitcases were any larger (we travel with just barely too big to be checkable sized rollerboards) we would not have been able to have walkable pathways. (There's no dresser or drawers to use, so you really are stuck organizing things in your suitcases.) We had narrow paths around the bed and to the bathroom, and that was it. There were some stubbed toes. Second - a more minor issue: we ran out of liquid soap in the shower at one point. When the room was serviced, it was not refilled, so we requested it in the evening, and the night staff simply filled the bottle with water. The next day when we found this, we complained to the manager on duty who immediately fixed the problem, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Beyond these two negatives, the place was excellent! All-in-all, if the rooms were a bit bigger, I would definitely be back.

My room had huge TV screen on leg screwed into the end of my bed - blocking the window and making you feel boxed by it. The hotel up-keeping should invest into a good new hoover - as the carpets are super dirty (including various corners of the rooms - if spiderwebs, dust & somebody else’s long hair on the carpet isn’t your thing- book elsewhere). Bathroom on other hand was spotless:)

Frukosten var kjempe skuff, minste utvalget jeg har sett på et hotell. Dyrt hotell og absolutt ikke verdt pengene. Eneste positive er beliggenheten, men for min del blir det heller Ole Bull apartments neste gang, myyyye billigere og digre rom.

Did not like the absence of a door to the bathroom. While in the shower and with our room door open there was absolutely no privacy. Breakfast was lovely and substantial and location wonderful. Staff very friendly. Nice touch to acknowledge my birthday while we were there.

A fantastic location in the heart of Bergen. The beds were comfortable and our room overlooked a courtyard that was so quiet. The staff was wonderful. The highlight was the extensive breakfast buffet. Fresh baked bread, cheese selection, frittata, vegetables, meats, yoghurt with every possible topping and finally an abundance of pastries. Of course juices and coffee. I could only manage to eat a portion of the extensive offerings.

The rooms are extremely small. The first room we were assigned had no drawers to store our things and the closet was literally 12 inches wide. I upgraded to their largest room and that didn’t have any drawers but at least there was room on the floor to lay our suitcase down. The breakfast was very good with a lot of items to choose from. The location was wonderful, walking distance to everything. Very easy to get from the airport using the light rail line.

The room was clean, but the decor was dated with no dresser drawers or counter space for clothing. We lived out of our suitcases. There was a small closet (maybe 15 inches wide). The bed was advertised as queen, but was in fact double. The staff accommodated us by putting together 2 twin beds. The room was uncomfortably dark even with all the lights on. The hotel decor and artwork was top notch with a hard rock theme; it was the best part of our stay. The front desk staff member was a wealth of information on what to do in the area- he was awesome! We requested a 4AM wakeup call as a backup to our phone alarms, but that call was never received. The breakfast was decent with gluten and lactose free foods. The breads were amazing. Hot foods, however, were either under a heat lamp or simply sitting out cold. The hotel was adequate, but not my style- the hard rock vibe may work well for others.

Pros: Terrific breakfast buffet Excellent service Great location Cons: Bad bathrooms: NO DOOR, little counter space, no free amenities. Having no door is not just a privacy issue (if the room door is open you can see straight into the shower which has a clear glass shower door), it is also a noise issue and a steam issue.

Leider waren die Fenster im Zimmer nicht zu öffnen. Es gab zwar ein Thermostat, bei diesem konnte die Temperatur zwar eingestellt werden, diese ließ sich aber nur auf 18 Grad runter stellen und das ist im Sommer zum schlafen einfach zu warm. Beim Frühstücksbüffet gab es keine Kennzeichnung der Allergene. Bis auf einige Ausnahmen, hätte das Hotelpersonal aufmerksamer sein können, das fängt bei der morgendlichen Begrüßung an und hört damit auf, das man sich bei den Gästen für den Aufenthalt bedankt und ihnen eine gute Reise wünscht.

Bis auf einige Ausnahmen, hätte das Hotelpersonal aufmerksamer sein können, das fängt bei der morgendlichen Begrüßung an und hört damit auf, das man sich bei den Gästen für den Aufenthalt bedankt und ihnen eine gute Reise wünscht.

The room was clean, but the decor was dated with no dresser drawers or counter space for clothing. We lived out of our suitcases. There was a small closet (maybe 15 inches wide). The bed was advertised as queen, but was in fact double. The staff accommodated us by putting together 2 twin beds. The room was uncomfortably dark even with all the lights on. The hotel decor and artwork was top notch with a hard rock theme; it was the best part of our stay. The front desk staff member was a wealth of information on what to do in the area- he was awesome! We requested a 4AM wakeup call as a backup to our phone alarms, but that call was never received. The breakfast was decent with gluten and lactose free foods. The breads were amazing. Hot foods, however, were either under a heat lamp or simply sitting out cold. The hotel was adequate, but not my style- the hard rock vibe may work well for others.

The hotel is ‘cool’ BUT the clear glass doors on the toilet area is a bit much. Total lack of privacy. The hosts at the reception area provided different information to different guests. When we checked in the host did not tell us at all about the fact that the two restaurants that were adjacent to the hotel both would give us a 25% discount if we ate there- I only learned that because today I was sitting and waiting to leave the hotel when I heard another host tell a couple about that. Perhaps ALL staff members need same training or a checklist to make sure each guest has the same information. The hotel breakfast was just ok. Very little variation from day to day.

We loved the staff at Hotel Oleana. Liana at breakfast (I definitely didn’t spell this right) made us feel so welcome and helped us with our Norwegian (although we didn’t need it). The front desk people especially the young man were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were also friendly and very accommodating. Even the owner gave us some suggestions on places to see in Bergen and in Norway after we leave. The rooms are extremely small. The first room we were assigned had no drawers to store our things and the closet was literally 12 inches wide. I upgraded to their largest room and that didn’t have any drawers but at least there was room on the floor to lay our suitcase down. The breakfast was very good with a lot of items to choose from. The location was wonderful, walking distance to everything. Very easy to get from the airport using the light rail line.

A fantastic location in the heart of Bergen. The beds were comfortable and our room overlooked a courtyard that was so quiet. The staff was wonderful. The highlight was the extensive breakfast buffet. Fresh baked bread, cheese selection, frittata, vegetables, meats, yoghurt with every possible topping and finally an abundance of pastries. Of course juices and coffee. I could only manage to eat a portion of the extensive offerings.

All around excellent experience. Rooms have a fridge. Incredibly quiet & peaceful. Amazing decor & plush beds. Breakfast is included which is a bonus. Loads of options. Pastries were delicious and perfect. Raspberry jam was definitely homemade 😋 But no cream for coffee and hot foods seemed undercooked (no solid whites on soft boiled eggs & hard boiled eggs were unpeelable). However, will definitely comeback 😎

Wonderful place but really tiny room by my American standard. No drawers to put clothes. No door on bathroom, at least in our room and almost no place to put much of your belongings otherwise. Overall though would recommend it for its great location and great staff.

What appeared online to be a really nice hotel was quite the disappointment. We opted for a balcony room thinking it was gonna be a luxury. The room was so small. Two people cannot move about with one of them standing in a corner so that you could get around the room. The room was tiny. The balcony left a lot to be desired. The only good thing about the balcony was we could open the doors to get air because the hotel did not have air-conditioning as stated. The shower door was leaking. There was no door on the bathroom for privacy. My sister had a regular room that was at least 2 1/2 times the size of our room that we paid more for. I would not recommend this hotel.
