Homewood Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic Dist/Riverfront

This is a very clean hotel, good location and a very good breakfast. The staff at the front desk and breakfast were excellent, but the parking attendant/ valet was no very good. This hotel uses a very expensive parking garage $50 a night, so I ended up parking on the street and at city parking garage six blocks away.

Very clean and the staff at the breakfast buffet were very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar and pool gives a great view.

Breakfast staff was wonderful

Your room is ready, but if you wanna go up to it, you have to pay a $25 fee because you are early. Not a great way to start off the vacation. Never have I ever and I travel the world. As annoyed as I was, I paid the $25 and went up to my room and unpacked, anxious to get out in the sun. I looked out the window and realized I was not in the room I paid for. Contacted the front desk and they were able to move me to another room with the view I paid for, but not the room accommodation. I contacted Hilton regarding my concern and was told that I could not make any kind of claim for compensation until after I checked out the hotel was very nice, the rooftop pool and bar was lovely. Enjoyed a nice happy hour and breakfast was plentiful. I would recommend this hotel as long as you get the room you paid for and are willing to pay extra to enjoy your room that is ready and waiting.

Staff was neutral, definitely nothing special. Paid for Valet and didn’t really get any extra help with luggage, all they did was park our car….no offers for upgrades at check in and the hotel was not overly booked. So somewhat disappointed and we paid a LOT for one night…. Best part is just location!
