A really good hotel with kind and attentive staff. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Really enjoyed the spa services. The only minus was how cold the room got because of the AC (didn’t matter how much we tried to adjust it), but I would definitely stay here again.

We only wish we didn’t start our 5-week stay here! It was so amazing that most of our other accommodations paled in comparison. We don’t normally stay in this kind of hotel as we tend to prefer smaller, less fancy hotels. But this was the perfect place to chill for 3 nights as we got over our very long flight to Sri Lanka. Our room was gorgeous, the staff were lovely, the pool was just what we needed and the buffet breakfast was so good!!!! We loved the location and walked one way along the beach and roads on one day and the other way on another day. Each day we walked well over 10km-15km and felt safe the entire time. The hotel is close to many restaurants and we highly recommend it for your stay in Negombo.

Had a comfortable and luxurious stay here for our first three nights in Sri Lanka. Travelled in June which is off season / monsoonal however we barely saw any rain - sunbaked by the pool most days and was very relaxing to travel in the quiet season - at times had the whole pool and grounds to ourself. Buffet breakfast was incredible and had soooo many options. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the gym was perfect too

Staff were excellent, room is good and pool is lovely. Unfortunately there was a huge amount of noise from street level until 2am including drums and microphone singing. It was impossible for myself or my baby to sleep which was the point of getting a hotel near the airport.

Short stay wish we could’ve stayed longer and enjoyed the facilities. Beautiful hotel in what seems like the perfect spot with the beach on one side and the city on the other. They took our last minute request for a spa treatment and it was great.

We had a beautiful view from our room. However, the latter didn’t look like the photos I’ve seen on Expedia. The room was quite tired and is in need of a refurbishment. It didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel, but more a 4 star. The bathroom also needs a good clean (mould in the shower, dirty sink, smell drains etc). The bed was comfortable and we had a good night of sleep. We booked a full board package. We were surprised to see that there was no buffet and a limited set menu (with very cheap options). Nonetheless, we were offered alternative options. The food that we ordered were generally nice and the breakfast buffet selection was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. It had a good continental selection. Overall, the experience was OK but I would not return unless the property was refurbished and installed decent air conditioning in common areas (eg lobby, bar, restaurant etc).

Beachfront and beautifully maintained. Excellent customer service by all staff. Very spacious rooms. Loved the room servive replacement of fresh towels comoared to other hotels. Check in time could be faster knowing that you are expecting the customers especially after a long travel.

I only stayed 1 night before a flight but no complaints. Pool and beachfront area amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful. Top floor room with views of ocean were great. I may have received the upgrade but wasn’t verbally mentioned so don’t want to be unfair. Recommend as a pre flight hotel to any traveller.

We booked through Expedia as a Platinum client, which means I should receive an upgrade if available. However, when we arrived, the staff falsely claimed I had been upgraded, but the room was exactly the same as what I had originally booked. This was misleading and disappointing. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, but lunchtime was a different story. I ordered a mild curry, but the chef made it extremely spicy. When he came out to apologize, he admitted that he assumed I could handle the heat because I “look Indian”—despite me specifically requesting mild. This was not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable. On top of that, my food took so long to arrive that I eventually decided not to eat or order anything else. It’s clear why many guests loudly voiced their frustrations with the restaurant. Housekeeping did a moderate job—nothing exceptional, but at least the basics were covered. Overall, this hotel has potential, but major improvements are needed, especially in honesty from the staff, restaurant service, and overall guest experience. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend dining in or expecting premium service.

Das Personal hat sich sehr bemüht, ist aber leider völlig unorganisiert. Ansonsten sicher ein gutes Hotel, auch zu empfehlen, aber das Management sollte dafür sorgen, dass man besser organisiert ist.

My wife and I arrived at Heritance Negombo and during our check in, we explained our diet concerns because of a recent operation. The front desk clerk immediately notified the restaurants staff of our no salt diet and the staff really paid attention to not only our diet but the little things to ensure our vacation will remain in our hearts for a lifetime. They are truly amazing at Heritance Negombo Hotel and we will definitely reccomend this hotel to our family and friends or anyone that coming to Sri Lanka. Once again thank you very much on a amazing vacation.

Good location, close to the airport. The whole hotel and surroundings are clean. Swimming pool clean. Staff friendly. On the beach, but swimming is not possible due to big waves. There is no possibility for our driver to stay overnight at the hotel.

We only wish we didn’t start our 5-week stay here! It was so amazing that most of our other accommodations paled in comparison. We don’t normally stay in this kind of hotel as we tend to prefer smaller, less fancy hotels. But this was the perfect place to chill for 3 nights as we got over our very long flight to Sri Lanka. Our room was gorgeous, the staff were lovely, the pool was just what we needed and the buffet breakfast was so good!!!! We loved the location and walked one way along the beach and roads on one day and the other way on another day. Each day we walked well over 10km-15km and felt safe the entire time. The hotel is close to many restaurants and we highly recommend it for your stay in Negombo.

We booked through Expedia as a Platinum client, which means I should receive an upgrade if available. However, when we arrived, the staff falsely claimed I had been upgraded, but the room was exactly the same as what I had originally booked. This was misleading and disappointing. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, but lunchtime was a different story. I ordered a mild curry, but the chef made it extremely spicy. When he came out to apologize, he admitted that he assumed I could handle the heat because I “look Indian”—despite me specifically requesting mild. This was not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable. On top of that, my food took so long to arrive that I eventually decided not to eat or order anything else. It’s clear why many guests loudly voiced their frustrations with the restaurant. Housekeeping did a moderate job—nothing exceptional, but at least the basics were covered. Overall, this hotel has potential, but major improvements are needed, especially in honesty from the staff, restaurant service, and overall guest experience. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend dining in or expecting premium service.

The hotel sits alone as a quality hotel in the area. It was very quiey but filled up quickly due to a conference. The beach is ok, but allow for lots of rubbish washing ashore. The hotel room was nice - a bit tight for our suitcases but it had everything. The coffee in the room was old and we just binned it. The food was amazing - really good food on day 1, followed by the best cake i have probably ever had - the bread was similar as it was all cooked on site. Staff were always helpful. Its a great hotel for the money, but if you're staying, then eat in the hotel as its worth it.

We had a beautiful view from our room. However, the latter didn’t look like the photos I’ve seen on Expedia. The room was quite tired and is in need of a refurbishment. It didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel, but more a 4 star. The bathroom also needs a good clean (mould in the shower, dirty sink, smell drains etc). The bed was comfortable and we had a good night of sleep. We booked a full board package. We were surprised to see that there was no buffet and a limited set menu (with very cheap options). Nonetheless, we were offered alternative options. The food that we ordered were generally nice and the breakfast buffet selection was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. It had a good continental selection. Overall, the experience was OK but I would not return unless the property was refurbished and installed decent air conditioning in common areas (eg lobby, bar, restaurant etc).

A really good hotel with kind and attentive staff. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Really enjoyed the spa services. The only minus was how cold the room got because of the AC (didn’t matter how much we tried to adjust it), but I would definitely stay here again.

We only had a quick stop here the night we arrived after a long travel day but it was lovely. The hotel is great with an amazing pool area and right on the beach. It’s a short walk into the town for local restaurants but far away enough that it’s still nice and quiet. Be careful what time of year you’re going if you’re planning on staying for longer than we did as the time of year we went (July) swimming in the sea was not allowed due to the weather so be mindful of that.
