We evacuated there from the east coast during hurricane Milton. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. They were really good about extending our stay for one day because we couldn't get home. Their dog friendly policy was such an enormous relief. Great location, and easy to get about. I would absolutely recommend this place!

I love that they are dog friendly (hotel and beach), and not a big huge building. The room was clean, with a balcony facing the pool and some of the ocean view. Walkable (a few steps) to the beach. Staff is friendly, relax, and helpful. The only thing I was missing was a breakfast. Everything else, great.

Old style beach hotel right on the beach. Lots of food and bar options around the hotel. Free parking was a plus. Young lady at the check in desk was very nice, checking in and out was a breeze the Lemon bar was packed so we didn’t try it, but headed to Pete’s Bar

Our room was nice. It had a refrigerator and microwave. We enjoyed the patio by the pool and the short walk to the beach. The connected Lemon Bar had good food and drinks and was so convenient for lunch. The pool was not very clean, which was a big concern. Possibly more frequent service should be considered.

This property is dated and in need of some renovation. It is perfectly located on Neptune Beach with walkable restaurants. There is no view of the beach from the first floor, and I suspect not the second floor, either, but it’s a short walk through the dunes to the beach. The pool area is convenient to all rooms, and a poolside bar / snack facility is adjacent to the pool.

Great little hotel on the beach with a pool and connecting restaurant/bar with live music. Perfect location where you can walk to restaurants and shops. Only negative is they don’t have an elevator but the hotel only has three floors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

The staff was excellent, extremely friendly! Parking was tricky, it would be in your best interest to park and not move until you are checking out. The location was great, walking distance to anything you would need. Room was clean and up to date. The Lemon Bar was very convenient, no kids allowed. The only issues I had were half manageable by the hotel and half not their fault. My next door neighbor was smoking an illegal substance THE ENTIRE TIME to the point the smell consumed my room and made me extremely sick feeling. It was a little much for me and my CHILDREN. They smoked it right outside of their room so anywhere we went it wreaked. The room we were in was right in front of a stair well and it sounded like a herd of buffalo at all hours of the night. I barely slept between the two issues (the hotel did not have a hand in any of that, no blame to them) so I am exhausted from lack of sleep. The other issues, the shower drain did not drain properly so we stood in about ankle deep water by the time our shower was over. Also, there was zero view of the ocean from my room and the website says every room has unobstructed views. Not sure I will go back to Seahorse Inn, it was a little too hectic between parking and the pool being packed with people who I know for a fact were not staying at the hotel and somehow gained access through the Lemon Bar. And yes, it limited the time me and my family swam because there was no room. And the sleepless nights etc.

Stopped here half way to our Miami Beach trip. Stayed on 2nd floor. No elevators. Oceanfront. Poolside bar(got 2 drinks $10 each) . Pool is nice. May 17.25 they said once a year they do like a pool side party. They set up all kind of beer tents. Portapotties a lot of speakers and they said thousands of ppl come. We’re checking out that day though. Our room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure SUCKED 1/10. Doesn’t look that great in pictures. Kinda looks like a motel. But once you get inside you’ll love it! But it was REALLY NICE!!

The property is in a great location. The pool closes at dusk and they will tell you to leave the pool area. The shower is cold and there was mold all around the shower. When I went to check out I asked for a receipt. I was told I booked through Expedia and I would need to get a receipt through them. We bought food at the Lemon bar so I wanted to make sure our charges were correct. I have yet to get a receipt from either party. The Lemon Bar was great. Fabulous service and staff. Also our beds were not made or towels exchanged. For this price stay at a higher end hotel and get the service you pay for. This hotel cost as much as the luxurious hotels around the area and had terrible service. Front desk staff were not friendly or accommodating.

The location is wonderful and convenient. The actual facility is run down and smells a bit like mildew. Limited soap in the shower dispenser. Housekeeping did not come by the whole 3 days. WiFi was not functional. Limited towels. It was doable for a short trip, but I wouldn't pay regular hotel prices for it.

Location on beach and in town was excellent. The room was dirty and the floor in the room was filthy. The shower was gross and if we don’t get athletes foot it will be a miracle.

I realize it’s close to the beach, but walking on that floor turned the bottom of my feet black, and they were clean to start. I know the place is older, but the bathroom is tiny.

1960's motel updated slightly. On the beach and nice beach bar, so that is great. Nice pool, but closes at 9pm. No elevator to 2nd floor. No drinking water available for guests other than bathroom sink, (had to go offsite). Internet service weak (minutes to load websites, if they would load at all). TV had only local stations with no apps for streaming and since internet signal was so poor, you could not use a laptop for streaming. For over $200 a night, I expect better, even ocean front.

There were three bars in the area one was open until 2:00AM so there was no sleeping due to loud music. There is no elevator so getting luggage up for elders wasn't easy. Our TV did not have the right remote so there was no TV. The pool was a bird bath for birds pooping quite often:) Otherwise it was a beautiful beach and area. Food was good at bar.

Great location on the beach and for walking into Neptune and Atlantic Beach, Beaches Town Center. Kids not allowed in poolside restaurant on weekends, but ok during the week and they deliver to the pool every day. Our shower was terrible at times though, no water pressure around 4-6pm.

Location is perfect. Recommend calling for reservations. You do not want rooms 236 thru 238. Room view is limited and should be divulged in the pricing, etc. - small rooms but as advertised there. Bar next door plays music all day til dusk. Weekends look like party times. depends what you are looking for. Second floor is recommended, we could see sunrise from our room.

Super chill Jacksonville friendly staff. We arrived in late and everyone was so accommodating. Staff member watching parking came over and showed us the path to the villa. Reserved parking and all. Very happy with the entire process.

I very much liked that all rooms had a balcony with a view of the ocean; the hotel is nicely laid out. I also liked the helpful staff, from the persons behind the desk to the parking attendants and cleaning staff; everyone was really nice. It's also within short walking distance to a number of good restaurants. I also liked the pool!

Room was not ready for 4pm check in. No manager around. Reserved 1st floor room but was told manager changed it to second floor. No explanation. My husband and I are in our 60's and this was very inconvenient. Room was smelly and bathroom had bugs. Grout missing all over bathroom. Toilet tank cover did not fit toilet (safety hazard) and remote control did not work. Won't be back.

Good Stay. Hotel location was fantastic. Its an older hotel, but well kept. All was great except daily housekeeping. We stayed 4 nights. Room was cleaned 1st day, but never again. We did go to front desk DAILY, sometimes multiple times a day to express this issue but it was never corrected. Front desk kept apologizing and said it would be handled, but never was. We had to keep getting new towels, coffees, t.p., soaps, etc. sand and grit on floor was never mopped or vacuumed. When we checked out, we expressed our issue. They simply apologized but did NOT offer any room discount. Dont think I would stay here again since they would not take care of a simple problem that they were informed about on a daily basis and did not offer a discount even though we did not receive the daily service we paid for in the rate.

The hotel is clean and the housekeeper was very nice. The pool towels were consistently empty. The gate on the steps to the beach was only open less than a quarter of the way for most of our stay because it was surrounded by sand and wouldn't budge. Most people could not go through it. The front desk is not staffed all the time. I couldn't even get a hold of anyone on the phone to check out. I had to wait until business hours. The worst part was the water pressure. I have pretty short hair and even after a half hour rinsing the shampoo out, it still wasn't all the way out. The TV was the size of a computer screen and the room was so small it was hard to turn around. Very disappointing.

I stayed the night of Jan. 1, 2025. Alrhough I lwft the room in excellent shape, the hotel has repeatedly charge my card $50, weeks after my stay. When I call, I'm told i have to speak to the manager, who is never there when I've called. I guess I have to go down there in person. What a tremendous inconvenience!

This place is iconic! The building is older keeping the beach motel charm alive. The weather was terrible all weekend but we all had a great time because of the location being walkable with multiple dining options and shops all around. The Neptune Beaches area is a hidden gem that still brings old Florida good beach vibes and surfer crowd.

The staff was nice, friendly and accommodating by letting me change rooms the second day because my ocean view was overlooking the top of the restaurant and it’s AC unit. I came there to be on the beach and have a quiet, relaxing stay, but that was not the case! I had to leave a day early because of the noise, loud music and partying from the restaurant/ bar that is next to the pool. I could not sleep while I was there. Friday night was the “silent “ disco, yelling, singing, partying from 100 or more people and also extremely loud noises that sounded like the building was going to collapse. I think it was the DJs loading equipment on a trailer in the parking lot, not sure, but that was going on til at least 2:30 am. Saturday there was a musician at the bar and the speakers sound system was so loud, you could not enjoy the pool or sitting on the room’s balcony. I was afraid that it would be a repeat of Friday night and felt I had to leave. Other issues were difficulty getting tv to come on, dirty floors- my feet and socks would turn black, so I laid towel’s down to walk on, the mattresses were cheap and not very comfortable, sheets were not soft-cheap, my second room didn’t have soap at the sink or cups- I had to step in the shower and get soap every time I needed to wash my hands. Those dispensers in the shower were also cheap and you could hardly get it to come out. I wish the staff would have warned me of how loud and late the partying would go on.

Charming beachfront motel with all you could ask for Sand and Surf right out the door. Lemon Bar is there to fill your tummy with yummy food and drinks. Enjoy the beach area just steps away from your room.

This is a lovely, small motel. It is clean, comfortable and right on the beach. They do a great job of maintaining the lovely property. You park your car and never have to use it because all restaurants are walkable.
