We stayed 3 nights and wished all our hotel stays could be as good as this. Staff is welcoming & friendly. Room size is generous, towels too. Breakfast is included & served with 2 options varying every day and always offering scrambled or fried eggs every day. Good coffee too. Parking is free but spaces can be hard to find. Happy hour is 5to6 daily w cash bar. Restaurants are nearby within walking distance.

Love the location on the bridge of lions right across from the old city center. The walk into the city was beautiful and easy. I enjoy the nautical feel and decor (love the hot tub and fire pit!) and the plated full service breakfast in addition to evening appetizers were all delicious! I do miss having 1 alcoholic beverage per person, as that was a nice touch. Best of all is the service - every employee I encountered was friendly, pleasant, and helpful. We have been coming yearly for a few years now and plan to continue.

Always great. Only .... - (still) way too loud AC / heating - completely useless pool. Too small for swimming - too cold as jacuzzi - why did we get the worst room (with very limited view) on the upper floor (214) when booking early?

This hotel was the perfect place for my husband & I on the last 3 days of our Florida vacation. The room was excellent, clean, comfortable and modern. We had a beautiful view of the Bridge of Lions from our balcony and even saw some friendly dolphins swim near the shore. The spa pool was wonderful, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Finally, it is very rare to find a hotel that includes a delicious homecooked breakfast and nightly appetizers with your room rate, but Marker 8 offers both. The staff is friendly & welcoming. We loved our stay and will definitely return in the future. Thank you for making our trip!

Lovely hotel at the end of the bridge. About 15 minute walk into the historic area. Hotel is fab. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice spa area with sun beds. Breakfast is amazing and included in room price. They also serve snacks in the bar at 5pm. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony with a great view of the bridge. We will definitely come back. The hotel is great and St Augustine is beautiful. Free parking at the hotel is a real bonus too.

This hotel was quaint and beautiful! The view was breathtaking-Bridge of Lions, boats crossing, city lights on the other side of the water, water birds walking along the coast…beautiful and serene. The room was nice, simplistic and clean. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was so delicious and Belinda the waitress was efficient and friendly. Breakfast at the Captain’s table was a great way to start the day. Didn’t get a chance to try the social hour hors d'oeuvres, but heard they were good. One minor negative is there was no AC in the elevator, and it does take a little bit of time to get you up to the 2nd floor.

This place is great. It’s away from the noisy historic area & has great views of the night of lights from your room. The walk across the bridge isn’t long at all & is beautiful walk! There’s a light snack happy hour each afternoon & breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

The bathroom needed some serious cleaning. Mold in the shower and around the shower door. We had stayed here several years ago and loved it but it has definitely dropped in appearance and cleanliness.

Fantastic alternative to the historic district hotels. Clean, clean, and more clean. Great views of the bay. Beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast is great. I will stay here again.

The breakfast & view was the best part. The cleanliness was awful, especially considering the cost to stay there. The floor was dirty & sticky when we arrived (see pics), asked the staff to clean it. It was still dirty the next day and asked the staff to have it cleaned again. The a/c blew clumps of dirt onto the floor (see pics). Just flat out disgusting!!!

The front desk help was welcoming and the breakfast servers were nice. But entering the room, there was a bad smell, prob mold. I turned down the temp on the thermostat to no avail. If the ac doesn’t work, that explains the mold smell. The bathroom turned us off due to what appeared to be dirty grout and there were brownish smears on the baseboard. Also black streaks on the bathroom door and frame.

Beautiful property located right at the end of Bridge of Lions. It’s a very convenient walk to the historic downtown area with all the restaurants and attractions. Staff was wonderful, room was very clean and had a gorgeous view of the marina.

Marker 8 has a beautiful view of the marina. Check in staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was delicious. Parking just steps from room. The big negative, dirty floors! I left my shoes on until changing for bed. A brief 30 minutes in bare feet, dirty. When I brought up to 2 different front desk staff, they were aware. Was told that person assigned to clean floors, not working that day. “We are getting done as rooms empty “.

Room was very nice. Clean. Roomy. Convenient location. Breakfast was awesome. But our room shower (room 109) had one issue. The safety rubber strips on the shower floor were practically worn off therefore it was very slippery in the shower. Kind of unsafe.

Lovely gem of a place! Right on the water and just on the other side of downtown St. Augustine. Just a 5 minute walk to everything. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed a beverage while overlooking the water and saw a dolphin! Would stay again for sure!

Comfortable bed, crazy soft sheets, great balcony view (watch the room you pick). Includes bfast - which is nice (although I argue shd include coffee AND juice). I wish a closer attn to details was followed with room maintenance and cleanliness. Like coffee mugs and woodwork were dusty/dirty. Highlight is front desk staff. Great ice machine, elevator to 2nd floor helpful. Has luggage carts to use. Marina is very small, and only thing I’ll state is this is more of a motel. Is at the end of bridge of lions- so you’re on the other side of old St Augustine. Fun to watch the bridge openings. But neighborhood here is a bit mixed - mostly ok.

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Our air conditioning unit was very loud and our patio door did not lock. We had a second floor room so the door really was t a problem. View was beautiful!

I love Marker 8 Hotel and Marina. Hotel is nice and the view is beautiful. Had an amazing 1st time visit and Newlywed experience thanks to Gina and Jessica. Breakfast was delicious! Everyone was kind and friendly. Easy parking. Hubby and I are in love with St.Augustine.

Every member of the Marker 8 staff from checkin, to breakfast, to host, to housekeeping--EVERY single member we encountered during our stay was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Belinda and Sarah in particular! I have never had such a great experience with each and every person on staff at a hotel. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

The rooms have been renovated and are lovely with the river view. However, they continue to use wall air conditioning units which are extremely loud. We had too turn it off at night to enable us to sleep (even with ear plugs)! Fortunately it was cool enough at night to open the sliding door for the night. The last day of our 4 night stay, we approached the maid for the 2 bottles of water they leave every day after cleaning your room. She requested our room number and when we returned to the room at the end of the day we found the room had not been cleaned. We went to the front desk and nothing was offered to correct this situation. Upon check out we requested an accommodation for this and Gina said she would have to get permission from the owner - who happens to be out of town for a week. A week later we followed up with Gina and she says she has not been able to discuss with the owner. This last night we paid an extra $100 for the room over the previous 3 nights because it was a Friday night. We don't feel we are out of line requesting a clean room with fresh towels for our stay. Very disappointing way to end what should have been a lovely stay.

We chose to stay at Marker 8 during Night of Lights and I couldn’t have been happier. It was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but walkable and in the perfect location to get to everything. Our room overlooked the marina and water and was so beautiful with the lights all on across the water in downtown. I would highly suggest.

The change made for breakfast having to pay for additional items. I stayed before amd the breakfast was very good now its just ok. The times are also too short especially when your on a weekend getaway to early to stop breakfast at 9:30. Most places stop by 10:30.

Our stay was incredible. The staff was amazing and very attentive. They always asked if there was anything else they could do to make our stay better. The happy hour appetizers were delicious along with beer and wine options. The breakfast was incredible with multiple different options that was part of the rate of the room. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised at every aspect of this hotel. There was also any enormous Jacuzzi and patio area that overlooked the water with a view of Saint Augustine. It was right across the bridge from all the activities, which was an easy walk. We will absolutely stay here again and look forward to coming back.

Marker 8 has always been wonderful, and this time continued that tradition. Friendly, attentive front-desk folks, nice snacks for a happy hour overlooking the harbor/harbour, and a fantastic cooked-to-order breakfast. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom, lovely.

This is an amazing hotel with terrific staff, an outstanding breakfast and immaculate rooms. Their breakfast and dinner happy hour complimentary food is delicious, abundant, and homemade. They have a beautiful view of the Lyons Bridge and old St Augustine. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
