Have stayed there several times the pool area has poor ventilation and the chlorine smell is so strong it affects eyes. Breakfast is good however get rid of the instant omelets.

The TV was broken and not fixed during my stay. The hot tub, which was the main reason I stayed, was also broken. Although the staff apologized. I suspect the hot tub never works. However, the staff was nice and courteous. They are probably tired of having to make excuses on management's behalf.

Check-in was quick and easy. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. This was our 2nd stay in recent years. Maintenance appears to be lacking. Our fridge didn't work - luckily the staff put our "to go" boxes in the on-site cooler. The shower faucet handle was not secure and seemed to spin, making it difficult to regulate the water temp. Only 1 of the 2 elevators was working. Not a bad stay, just seemed like a lot of little inconveniences.

This hotel makes me never want to stay at a Holiday Inn Express ever again. It was so incredibly dated and filthy. I would not take off my shoes in the room and I tried not to touch anything. The bathroom grout looked like it was years and years of uncleared grout. You could feel the soap scum on the tub! There is no way this room was properly cleaned. The sheets did not fit the bed properly. My husband woke up in the morning to discover the sheets came off in the night and he was laying on a bare mattress with a giant yellow stain. Beyond disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. How it has more than one star is beyond me. The only positive was that the staff was friendly.

The lobby, breakfast area, room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfy. There was some wallpaper in the hall way and bathroom that was coming off. There were no USB plug ins. When spending almost $200 a night I just would have liked for it to be a bit tiddier and up-to-date. It was in a good area and easy to get to. They offer coffee and hot water for tea in the lobby but were out both times we tried to get it.

Here for a sporting event. Room was spacious and fit our need. Price was a bit high since the property was dated. Carpet could use a makeover. Shower was very spacious. The staff were great. Breakfast had great options. Mattress was a bit firm, but overall the hotel room was very clean.

We had a room right off the lobby where people sit and mingle. It was noisy at times no fault of the people just location of room. Also could not draw large drape so being on ground floor by parking area did not give privacy in room. Sun also came right into room

The bed was hard as rock. Our room was on the second floor, window was under the canopy so at night it lights up. With curtains drawn the room was lit up. Those maintaining the breakfast food couldn’t keep up, and there were very few people there. Won’t be going back.

Room smelled of sour food and carpet was filthy. A/C unit squealed all night. We asked the front desk(Faye) if we could check out late at Noon vs 11am. She frowned and simply said ‘We are booked full ‘EVERBODY has to leave by 11am’. She was so rude in her delivery that I just wanted to slap her. I called later and another clerk cleared us to check out at Noon.

Early afternoon desk clerk 6-23 (about 2pm) was amazing! He got me checked into my room early and was very pleasant and attentive that I had been driving all night and was very tired. However, the overnight(1:20-2am) 6-24 front desk girl was not so helpful. I needed to leave early about 2 AM and I asked if she could make some hot coffee as the pot in the lobby was old and cold. She scoffed and said " I don't make fresh coffee until 4am" and then proceeded to remove old pot to kitchen area and then return to sit behind front desk and play with her cell phone. I am a commercial driver and I wake up with coffee to alert myself before going out onto the road. This is one reason I usually stay at Holiday Inn Express, they are helpful and accommodating for those of us who don't run on normal business hours. The easiest task of a smile and a fresh cup of coffee was not in her capabilities, I guess, because she was too busy Doing NOTHING to be hospitable for a guest. I ended up at the shady gas station across the street for my coffee.

This property was clean ready for me to check in nice room. Nice pool me and my son had a ball in the pool. There was a receptionist name Tanya. She was the best like she helped me with everything. She made sure, I had everything I needed. I forgot a couple of things she made sure that I got it like a toothbrush I needed a can open. She opened it for me. She was just so good. She helped me get checked in my reservation was messed up, but she still got me in there and it was good.

Room wasn't cleaned yet all of our towels were removed...front desk said I needed to request room cleaning. Magnetic key only worked the very first time after check-in. It never worked after that and twice failed after it was re-programmed...had to get the security guard to let us in one night.

I am a repeat customer of Holiday Inn Express. I know what I am getting, and the experience is usually consistent. I have no complaints about the Davenport, IA, location. It is close to some good dining options and not too far off the interstate, but far enough not to hear the traffic.

Pan handlers would t leave us Alone and went right up to my 14 year car window. We checked in and out within 15 minutes and staff said (u are safe here just don’t go across the street. She assured me that they (tell them to leave the property etc. but this person didn’t leave. Did t feel safe with my children so we checked in and out within 15 minutes and went to a different and safer hotel

Positive - Hotel was clean, beds were comfy and it was easy on/off I-80. Negative - There was only one person working the breakfast area. Breakfast items were not kept full. Sunday morning at 7:30, no regular coffee (only de-caf), no eggs, very little sausage links, no gravy for the biscuits and the pancake mix was out. Thank goodness there is a Kwik Star across the street.

Blanket on the bed smelled musky, cracked drywall in the room and low water pressure made the stay less than excellent. We were assigned a room right next to the elevator bays so I woke up from several people yelling around midnight. There was a guy in a shirt that said Security sitting out front smoking every time we left and came back which caused everyone to feel uncomfortable with this place to start. Lastly, the breakfast was not what we have experienced at the other Holiday Inn Express around the country. The eggs were cold and the sausages were not fully cooked. The positives were vast available parking and the cinnamon rolls were great.

Property wise other than a bit dated, everything was clean. TV took forever to get started, waiting on DirecTV service to boot. Couldn’t figure out why. Breakfast was a little frustrating. No milk, no additional sausage for them to cook and what was in the pan looked shriveled, biscuits hard but gravy was good. Pancakes and cinnamon rolls good.
