2BR / 2BA Oceanfront King Suite ~ Ocean's One Resort 1806

Checkin time was great, everything was was fine except that pool water was to cold and two hot tubs didn’t work. Not exceptable for $600 a night. Everything should be near perfect for that kind of money. I will shop around next time, I was basing my experience on previous stay 12 years ago.

Hard time finding parking in the parking area- a lot of cars did not have the hotel pass in the window... this needs to be monitored. The room itself needs a lot of little touch ups done. The bathroom door would not close properly... coming off the hinges. The ceiling was peeling and the molding in the bathroom was coming off. Black stuff came out of the jacuzzi when turned on. The 2nd hot tub was nasty---- green and trashy. Water spout not working at pool. Should have vacuums or broom with dust pan to get up the sand. There should be a outside shower to rinse your feet when leaving the beach area.

Although some work is underway, the general condition of the property shows neglect. The room was poorly equipped with limited cookware and no tools for cleaning of floors, etc. The living room furniture was too uncomfortable for sitting any extended period to watch tv or read. The outdoor pool area was under rehab making it unuseable and the noise of construction work made sitting on the balcony less than enjoyable. I would not revisit this property. There are too many other good ones close by.

The outdoor pool area was beautiful. The hallway in our unit definitely needed a paint job. The bathroom tile was very moldy in the shower. Needs to be cleaned and caulk replaced. The website said a work out room which was not there. Limited silverware and we had to buy plastic silverware and plates. As in only a couple of them. We were there for 10 days and you are responsible for washing sheets, towels. They will give you washing machine soap and dishwasher soap but we didn’t know this until well after a week and we already bought that. Be aware no bar or restaurant in hotel. Overall a beautiful and very family oriented. The shower grossness should be fixed though

We arrived on a Thursday evening for a 3 night stay and were originally assigned room 906. We discovered a water leak from under the bathroom sink area that had seeped across the foyer to the master bedroom door. Not a major leak, but one that had been active for quite some time. Upon reporting it, staff took almost an hour to decide to move us to another room. Room 1406 was better, but evident that upgrades are needed. The carpet is worn and frayed in somecareas. The leather chair and couch were "flaking" onto the floor. The TVs in the living room and master bedroom had blurry screens and the remotes missing their battery cover. One shower did not work properly and maintenance replaced the water spigot when the shower head is what really needs replaced. We had a 2 br condo that sleeps up to 8, but the kitchen that was supposed to be furnished only had 2 glasses, 4 dishes, 4 bowls and silverware for 4. The 2nd BR had mold in the HVAC vent and along the ceiling near the vent. Last but certainly not least was the "chewing" or "clawing" noise from the master bedroom wall that adjoins another room. It must be checked - if other guests then the walls are not thick enough. If animal or rodent, it needs to be gone. We did enjoy the heated saltwater outdoor pool and the heated saltwater lazy river. Both were very nice.

Liked: Property was located on the beach and room had a balcony facing the ocean. Separate bedroom with murphy bed was ideal for our sleeping needs. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillow options. Dislikes: Carpet could have been cleaner. We had to move furniture to use murphy bed and the floor was not clean under the furniture we moved. Bathroom needs updated as there was peeling paint and damaged drywall. 2 of the 3 hot tubs jets did not work and fitness center was closed for construction. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again as the room was mostly used to sleep and was very convenient to the beach.

This was a nice get away for the whole family. All 8 of us stayed in a 3bd suite so that was nice. The loading cart situation could be better maybe invest in more carts.

The room needed painting, carpet dirty and torn, tiles falling off wall, jets in tub did not work. At the pool area rust coming from around pool ladders, hot tub jets did not work, not of the outside faucets worked to wash away sand when coming from the beach. Great location friendly staff.

The property is in a lot of need of updating. The walls were dirty and dingy. There was rust, peeling paint and sticky floors. The pools were dirty with debris and sand.

Our room appeared to be under some painting, maybe. Could've been trimmed in? Walls were dirty, carpet torn. You have to wash your towels when you run out. Another couple we traveled with, there room had bed bugs. Very dirty hallways. Overall very poor experience. Will not stay again.

Walls in terrible shape Couch was sitting on 2x4 blocks Carpet was rolling up on edges HOTEL HAD BED BUGS when reported they moved our room. Called pest control infront of us and stated we have another room that needs sprayed. Must be a common theme

The rooms are dirty.

When we arrived rooms was dirty, No house keeping for four night, No water in the kitchen, even so that we reported nobody did nothing, First floor smell dirty and unattended. With this terrible experience, we decide to not comback to this place.

This was a bit of a disappointment, upon entering our place we noticed it was dirty. What looked like melted chocolate ice cream was on the fridge and floor and smeared all over the curtains. There was thick dust on all the lights and doors, scuff marks and just dirt on the walls even the headboard to the bed. We went down and notified reception who stated someone would be up to clean it. They never showed up. There was no coffee pot and no blankets for the bed. The dishes were all missmatched and the jet tub did not work. The furniture had tears on them and what looked like marker or crayons marks on them. The washer and dryer were covered In sand. Thats just the particular room 2007 that we were in. The 2 outside hot tubs were cold. The inside hot top was dirty with stuff floating all through the water. Everything was dirty or rusty. The staff completely ignored your pressence the entire time. We were definitely not satisfied and did leave early.

The overall room were ok. The furniture was filthy. Dishes were nasty. Cabinets needed wiped out bad.

I gave an overall 2 stars mostly because the location and view are great. The hallways anre clean and smelled great. Otherwise our room was terrible! SO dirty. Our room smelled so badly of cigarettes and was only called to be clean as we arrived and checked in which took about 5 minutes. Even though they knew we had an early check in. The carpet is so greasy on your bare feet, definitely wasn’t vacuumed. The lights had about an inch of dust on it. Boogers on the livingroom wall. There was pubic hair clumps on our bathroom floor. That’s just the cleanliness. The overall condition of the room was just as bad. This place is not taken care of at all. Knobs missing. Cabinets missing chunks out of them. Door and cabinets in bathroom had awful water damage. You do not get housekeeping. We were there for 5 days and had to wash our own towels and bed linens but received one laundry pod on arrival. I ONLY stayed because I was completely exhausted as I was stuck at the airport for 2 days prior to check in due to a snowstorm! We ended up buying supplies and cleaning our room ourselves!

First arrived check in was 4pm, we arrived 5:15pm still had to wait get into room at 6pm. The room is so damaged mold nasty walls, ripped current, couldn’t use murphy bed mattress was nasty including the 2 queen mattress. Stains felt honestly like sleeping on box spring not comfortable at all. We had no choice but to stay or go home. Next day went to beach came back around 12pm and no water take shower. Was not made aware of. The next day fire alarm went off around 11pm at night some kind of electrical issue elevators. Went front desk ask what was wrong they had no clue that the alarm was going off in building to get out. Please first arrive while waiting check in 3 ppl checked out because the conditions of the room. On top of others complaining asking for refunds and to be moved. Just run far far away from this place. County needs shut it down start over. This use be 5star luxury hotel. Just find somewhere else stay its not worth it

My room had mold on the ceiling. Room was not cleaned. Bedding was not clean. White chairs had visible dirt and food on them. Not worth the price. The elevator was often wet and smelled bad. There was not enough luggage holders to transport luggage. I think it’s an inconvenience for customers to have to dispose of their trash during their departure when housekeeping will come to clean.

The location near the beach was nice and the ocean front view was good. There was mold on the ceiling and they charge for everything

I stayed at Sandy Beach Hotel in November, which is right next to this hotel, so I expected a similar level of service. That couldn’t be further from the truth. This place looks more like a motel than a hotel. No phone in the room. The kitchen table looked like something from a woodshop. The floor wasn’t vacuumed when we arrived, and there was no maid service at all during our stay. The cable wasn’t even connected to the TV. The laundry facilities were a joke—the dryer’s knob was missing, and I had to open it with a knife! When I went to the front desk to complain, the staff told me the only thing they could do was send someone to vacuum the room. No other solutions, no real customer service. Save your money and book at Sandy Beach Hotel instead. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The view was spectacular and the room met my needs. I found the staff very responsive. I would stay here again.

This is the worst room I’ve ever had. I took pictures and told front desk. They said they couldn’t move me but could cancel. I couldn’t cancel, friends were staying there. 1 burner on stove worked. Air wouldn’t turn off so woke with a sore throat every day. Dishwasher poured water out the bottom. Lamp cord in living room cut. Couch held up with 2by4’s. Blow dryer looked melted and that electric plug blew the reset button. Wall in bathroom rotted. Carpet torn, rusty handles, plug in bath sink broken and in drawer, water level knob missing on washer - filled with dust, dust in the slots of doors, peeling cabinets, dust and grime in corner of room. NOT cleaned by a professional service! The housekeeper was still cleaning when we checked in and waited in hall, then that was the person working the front desk who I had to complain to. What did she say, “I can send housekeeping but nothing can be fixed” She is and was housekeeping… she came back and cleaned the giant booger off couch and wiped the gross spot on table. Oh, friends room had roaches and they moved her to the room below. Beautiful view, pool was warm. Staff was nice.

The property could really use a update. Shower handle came off. Water damage in bathroom. Needs a paint job.

Hotel room...nothing worked properly. Severely needs to be updated.

Furniture in room was in terrible condition. Ripped sofa and dirty. The walls throughout room was dirty and in bad condition.

Rooms are spacious but need attention. Light fixtures are severely rusted. Several things need fixed/updated.

Good and BAD-best location- direct access to beach,various pools indoor and outdoor including hot tub. Room conditions- lacking light, surfaces torn, ceiling paint flaking, missing baseboards, broken edge of vanity at floor, stove burner wasn't working and when repaired filled room with burnt smell. They increased a "Tax" portion increasing our bill too close to date to opt out.

Starting the problem at the reception, what a disastrous and rude staff in that place, the women are so rude and poorly educated what wooow it's actually incredible that they are still in that place...

The staff is the reason to stay the hotel is nice and it has some issues but the staff makes up for it by far.

Prior to leaving, we attempted to call the resort over a dozen times throughout the day to confirm our booking and ask a few general questions. They never picked up the phone. We then attempted to email and didn’t get a response, and either did two assisting Travelocity agents. Once we arrived, we described the lack of communication to the front desk folks, who seemed completely disengaged and unmotivated, and appeared to be put off by our interaction without attempting to have a positive or welcoming dialogue. Upon getting our key at the front desk (which is across the street from the actual rooms), we went to our room, but they key didn’t open when tried. We made 3 trips to the front desk to attempt to get a properly working key and learned that the electronic key unit had nearly dead batteries and needed to be replaced. A maintenance individual did come and replace these within 10 minutes, but the door itself still didn’t properly shut without pulling it and slamming it each time. The unit was in okay condition with some paint work and repair needed in the doorway, bathroom and main bedroom. It was odd that despite signs about towel changes, there never was anyone coming to the room to do this and calls to the front desk from a room or cell phone never were answered. When a call was placed from a cell in front of desk employees, it could be heard ringing softly but they explained they must’ve been there alone (clearly not it) and no one answered any phones.

Overall my stay here was not the best when I made the reservation there are a few things I look for, distance to certain attractions, ocean front and house keeping. For starters I was locked out of my room almost every night I was there had to get new keys they finally sent maintenance to “ fix the door” but that still didn’t work. They don’t give you clean towels you have to do your own laundry if you want clean towels. Had to go and ask for toilet paper and trash bags because you have to clean your room out before you leave. There was blood on one of the doors too. Needless to say this is not a place I will be staying at again!

Great location,great stay. The reason i gave it four stars instead of five was due to the fact that during the check in process the agent failed to inform me that i had to put in a access code to gain access to the facility. All she told me was i could use my keycard to enter the building, the hotel is directly across the street from the checkin location, there were three other guests there also trying to get into the building, i had to call the toll free number to be told how to get into the building because i did not want to leave my luggage unattended while i returned to the checkin office across the street. There was a code that was printed on the keycard sleeve i was given that had to be entered into a keypad next to the door that allowed me access. The checkin agent not informing guests about this was causing a lot of confusion that day. It seemed as if she was more interested in her personal cellphone than doing her job.

I have paid a lot less and gotten a lot more at other resorts. Check in nightmare. Rooms not ready. Check in staff gave such lousy instructions we were at a loss. It is fend for yourself. Will never stay there again

Great view, I couldn’t get in touch with nobody from the hotel. My TV didn’t work in my room I didn’t have trash bags.

The staff in front desk should be more educated and polite the did my check in while she was on FaceTime with her relative

Ocean One is a fantastic property. We had a two bedroom condo for the week. It offered great views from the 180º view windows. It is only a 15 minute walk from the boardwalk along the beach, which is far enough away to keep some distance from the ruff raff. We are very happy we stayed.

The view was spectacular and the room met my needs. I found the staff very responsive. I would stay here again.

Stayed downtown at oceans one. Overall very nice, good parking, amenities were very good, no bar or restaurant. Room was good size, needed a bit of a refresh

It's right on the beach, with a great view, plenty of room for the two of us. Parking was across the street and it's walking distance to food and fun

Would have like to have more cooking utensils, one spatula, one wooden mixing spoon one knife, no mixing bowls or larger measuring cups. Didn’t have anything to bake on, had to go out and buy disposable ones. Also would have liked to have a simple vacuum, sweeping sand from the carpet was difficult.

I brought food to cook, so I had to call because the stove wasn’t working. Didn’t have proper cookware or utensils to cook or use .The freezer don’t keep items frozen nor did it freeze my alcoholic drink that was in the freezer from Friday evening when I arrived until Saturday when I was going to drink it. The couch was worn out in the middle section so the point you need to get an extra pull to get up. The Murphy bed was not easy to get to because the kitchen table in the way of it.

We liked that the property was in walking distance of family kingdom, the indoor and outdoor pools were nice, but there were no pool towels. My room was ok, but I feel as though it could have been cleanier (walls were dirty, no linen for the murphybed, and we had to wash the comforter due to having stains, the cabinet wit the pots and pans was very stcky at the bottom). I also did not like the fact that we having cleaning fees but were expected to take out the trash and wash our own linen.

Pros: The all glass room was very nice and appeared to have been recently renovated. Great location. Plenty of parking and parking passes provided. Great price. Cons: The other rooms were terrible. The stoves were filthy, the door handles came off when touched, the toilet wouldn't stop running, the floors were dirty, no clean towels were provided, we were told we had to wash them ourselves in the washing machine. They stated they would provide laundry pods but when asked, they were out. No housekeeping services at all, was told they were short staffed and we had to walk across the street to the office for anything we needed. The balcony doors didn't lock. No pots or pans in the kitchen. Trash bin was placed right in front of the elevator and was running over with trash. Refrigerator freezer didn't freeze. Telephone on desk but no cords. No regular channels on TV, only streaming channels. Worn out mattresses.

The property does have great views of the ocean and the beach and is in a good location. However it is relatively old and the cleanliness is average at best. The condo we rented had some issues, a broken chair for example and very few utensils as well as cooking dishes. Overall it is not bad but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Pros...1. Great view of ocean. 2. Easy access to ocean. 3. Easy access to some stores and parks 4. Washer and dryer worked and was a big plus! Cons...Musty room and elevator, unknown to changes of door codes. Things were wrong in the room... 1. No for handle to bathroom from bedroom (found under bathroom sink) 2. Bathroom shower leaks plus jacuzzi tub has no turn on and the exhaust fan does not work at all!! 3. King size bed was lumpy as hell with a fitted sheet, 2 flat sheets and a thin duet cover and closet had 1 hanger... ONE!... night stands we're the dressers! 4. No sweeper! Just a broom to clean carpet areas and the tile. 5. Oh the nightmare kitchen...I knew it was small and didn't care... but the faucet was not attached... neither was the GFI plug for the coffee pot (which was old and dirty!!! (burnt stuff on heat pad which I scrubbed, but didn't get cleaned) it still worked but leaked. 6. Enough silverware for 2 people, chef knife was damaged and I think it was used on the coffee table in the living room but not from us (have pictures of all damage the day we arrived) 7. Pots and pans were not cleaned and found under the sink! I washed those to use on the old stove and it caused the smoke alarm to go off because it smoked everytime I tried to use it!!..8. The dishwasher was not operational because it was not attached, living room/ dining fruniture was damaged, no batteries for TV remotes. Balcony was nice but didn't like to smell dope all the time!! No security

It would be nice to be given a laundry pod and dished for each day we are staying or two each day. We did a lot washing and dishes while we were there. More toilet paper supplies too. The view was excellent. Could not beat that.

There were no forks, torn wallpaper on cabinet doors and a few knives/spoons that looked terrible.
