Cute rooms, microwave and dorm fridge. Two burner hot plate. Air conditioning works well, and it was quiet. I have not stayed in many motels and am not certain I like having my door open to the outside, although it is easy to load and unload your vehicle. The covered porch and lawn chairs were nice when it rained. The room needed a few minor repairs.

This place blew me away. I have been driving by it for decades, and when I stayed there I found it was beautifully remodeled, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had a stocked and functional kitchenette. 100% recommend.

We booked Motel 57 for a last minute weekend getaway. Upon checking in, the front desk lady was not very friendly. The process of checking in was quick and easy. When we entered our non-smoking room, it immediately smelled like cigarettes. The carpet was terribly dirty. It turned our white socks black. Thank goodness I packed a foam playmat for our daughter or else she would not have been able to play. The floors were sticky and the bathroom had black mold growing on the ceiling. The TV was so dark you couldn't watch it and the remote was sticky and gross. The rooms need an obvious deep clean, but it was in a good location being close to everything. We would not stay there again.

Bring shower shoes. We had 2 units. One was reasonably clean but the other had a dirty shower and bathroom and stained sheets. There were small cockroaches in the kitchen area. Stayed three days. Its cute. Did not expect 5 star but did want it to be clean.

The motel was very clean and decorated very cute. The bathroom was very nice and modern. Both women at check and check out were very pleasant. I loved the history of the place and the reno completed to look MCM. I would recommend staying here!

Tacky!! Had to change travel plans it was only hotel available!! For Good Reason!! Grosss!! Sticky carpet..squeaky bed!! Roller shades didnt work..cheap curtains that barely covered window..Was Glad to Leave!!!

The room was actually very small. We had a family of 4 and it felt completely cramped. The table drops down so if you have it up, you can't walk in the room so you can't leave it up for a place to set things. The bathroom had the same issue - pedestal sink and no cabinet so no space to put things. It was outdated but I would say it was very clean. The staff were very friendly. If you just need a place to sleep and don't plan on being in your room or if you have a smaller group, then I would definitely recommend. Loved that it was across from Target and 10 minutes from Walmart and many restaurants in between - so location is great.

Hotel was a good place to stay in Door County. It was convenient, clean, and safe. We would stay here again. The only downside is that the beds are a little uncomfortable and noisy when you get in/out of bed. Otherwise, it was all in good, clean condition, and it was a great place to stay.

The room was humid. The fridge was very loud. The room star rating could be increased with a little attention to details…. Cleaning and paint touch up to door trim, walls, etc. Water pressure was wonderful, however, the water mineral build up on the shower head and rusty shower curtain rod was a little off putting.

Motel 57 is a pefect place to stay if you want a simple, affordable stay. It has a kitchenette, which is a fantastic plus. It's only drawback (to some) is the courtyard layout, which means if people are gathered outside grilling out or congregating it can be a little noisy, since all the rooms directly face it. Not terrible, but something to be conscious of when booking.

Super cute retro room! Nicer than we were expecting. Liked having a little fridge and freezer and the kitchenette was well stocked! Everything was clean, except the interior shower curtain was a bit soiled. The only bad thing were the beds! They were very bouncy, had pits, and just not comfortable. Given that the idea is a place to sleep, I feel this is an upgrade that should be addressed. I would stay again, if I knew the beds would be comfortable. It was a great location for a one night little Door Co get away.

This place is excellent! Rooms are pretty small. Really the only complaint I had was the pillows are flat. We had the door handle in the bathroom fall off but maintenance got there super quick to fix it. Super friendly guy. The lady at the front was also super friendly and helpful. I do believe she was from another one of their locations. Would definitely stay here again!!

Definitely inexpensive. We liked the retro vibe. Someone was smoking nearby though and everything smells like smoke. It was clean but we didn’t feel comfortable having a turn down every day because of the location. Make sure to run (and continually empty) the dehumidifier or everything will feel muggy and smell musty. Any time I asked for towels or toilet paper (which was once each over six days) it seemed like I was asking a lot of them, so that was weird. Also one of the other tenants stole one of our chairs off the front porch. Fortunately they put it back the next day, but that was really weird that they were allowed to do that. The beds were okay. Kind of worn. Don’t book if you have a bad back. I thought the traffic noise would keep us awake but it wasn’t too bad. The staff were friendly but I don’t think they could help in case of emergencies. No security that I could see. I didn’t feel safe to leave anything too precious in the room during the day. I think someone was in our room one day because it really smelled like smoke one day. Two of the mugs in the cabinet were dirty upon our checkin. Everything else seemed clean. The bathroom was cute. Next time I think we will book something a little more expensive.

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I like the close proximity of my car to the door, I like direct access to outside where I could sit on nice chairs. The room was well appointed with everything I needed. It was very clean which is my top priority. I liked having a window to the front and to the rear, good sunlight coming in. It was a very comfortable stay. I liked the location, close to everything. It is a gem. . . certainly will stay there again. The staff are kind and accommodating and knowledgeable. Loved it!!

Staff very friendly. I grew up in Sturgeon Bay and this Motel was always an after thought. Very run down. Recent renovations have made this place cute, clean, and must stay when visiting my family.

Staff was nice. It was a super cute property. I really liked that it was lit up a lot at night. I also liked that they had a few dishes in the kitchen. The deadbolt on our door stopped working properly. Luckily we had another door we could go in and out of before we were able to fix it enough to get the door open. Called the front desk and were told they would get to it eventually so we were unable to use it while we were there.

This motel is in Sturgeon Bay, the entrance of Door County. It's not far from the other sites, i.e. Fish Creek. You can tell that this place was updated recently. The price is very reasonable, and the staff was friendly. It’s an economical place to stay if you are traveling on a budget.

Looking at the outside of the hotel I thought I was in for a low quality stay. Despite the 1950s exterior, the inside has been updated. The kitchenette was very nice for a long stay in door county. They had lots of dishes and pots and things to use on the cook top. There wasnt an oven, but they had a electric range. Another nice feature was that they had windows that opened, which was nice to let fresh air in and feel the breeze rather than just using air conditoning. My only complaint is that there is a median between the highway which meant you can only turn into the hotel driveway from the one side of the highway. We had to do a lot of U turns to get to that side!

I really like being able to drive up to the room. Inside was 50's style very well done but bathroom modern. It comes with complete kitchen are and fold out table for eating. By the highway and yet very quiet. I loved it.

I went past this motel many times on my way to Door County and have always said that this place looks interesting and decided to try it out. I stayed in the deluxe room which has a full kitchen as well as two double beds. It was very comfortable, clean, and decorated nicely. I could hear traffic sounds, but that is expected being right by the main road on Hwy 57. There was no daily housekeeping, so if you needed anything, you had to request it, but I had no need of that service during my 3 night stay. The only suggestion is to put a table or shelf on the empty wall in the bathroom, because the pedestal sink doesn't give you any room to place makeup, brushes, etc. Otherwise everything was great and I would definitely stay there again. You can't beat the price and location.

A sweet throw-back to motels of yore. Renovated beautifully-real tile in the bathrooms! Vintage enamel kitchen tables! - with small, well-equipped kitchenette. Perfect home base for a Door County vacation.
