I would highly recommend this property ! Large pool.very very clean rooms and property as a whole! Breakfast had something for everyone! Coffee 24 hours! Close dining that had something for everyone. Close to hospitals and they give a pretty sizable medical discount! be going back with my family!

I've stayed here several times when visiting family. Easy check in/check out. They have coffee available 24/7 in the dining room. Decent hot buffet breakfast. Nice gym with 3 treadmills. Pool and jacuzzi. Place is located a half black from the freeway. Three blocks away from Somerset Mall, great restaurants across the parking lot, such as 'Bonefish', 'Carrabbas', Jersey Mikes. Great location.

This location is extremely modern, clean and safe. The staff is friendly and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Very walkable. The breakfast is okay but needs more options like potatoes and sausage, with the eggs and bacon. There should be at least four options of hot food, with turkey and pork sausage. The waffles are excellent and they even have a seasonal pumpkin spice flavor. It’s amazing. The hot tub is fantastic and the pool is immaculate. The other guests were very nice and I can’t say enough about the safety I felt. The in-house toiletries smell great and they even have hairnets at the front desk. The elevators are smooth and are timely. The gym has everything you need for a wonderful workout. I highly recommend this location and am grateful I booked it.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, there is a cozy and comforting feeling to it, staff was super friendly and cooperative ( especially the front desk lady and the gentleman who works breakfast). There is a decent-sized gym and a hot tub with an indoor pool there. Breakfast is the basic breakfast you get at hotels ( scrambled eggs, turkey sausages, bacon, oatmeal, corn flakes, yogurt, fruit salad, bananas, apples, pastries, toast, waffles and juices). Just so you know this hotel is trying to be eco-friendly so the room won’t be cleaned during your stay but you can ask for more towels and other toilettery during your stay. We didn’t mind this and we threw our trash in the trash can that was placed at our floor. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and would go back there if we go to troy again.

I booked this place because of the hot tub and pool. I was not told when we checked in that it was broken. The pool and hot tub were very cloudy and likely unsafe to go into. The jets on the hot tub were broken. The staff apologized but said that since i booked third party there was nothing they could do for me.

This was a really nice property. Heather at the front desk was amazing. The pool and jacuzzi were nice. Jacuzzi could have been a little bit hotter. The breakfast was good. The guy that checked us in was great, sorry forgot his name. Laundry facilities were nice. Easily accessible to lots of different restaurants. I did request a late checkout so I can work for my computer in our room. My husband had training right down the street and was getting out between 3:00 and 4:00. I was hoping for that. The two people at the front desk only allowed me to check out at 1pm, stating the hotel was sold out. I know it wasn't and they were just renovating rooms. I ended up just waking up 3 hours early so I can get work done on my computer since I couldn't be in the hotel room past 1pm. It ended up working out. Overall, it was a very nice property and we would stay there again.

This property seems to be getting a bit dated. The hot tub was not working in the pool, clock on the wall was also not working in pool area and it must of been over 100 degrees in that area with no air circulation whatsoever. We had no hot breakfast the first morning for some reason and we had to ask attendant for coffee at 7 am. The large carafe was empty, the attendant was wearing ear buds so we had to ask her 3 times for coffee. And a carryover from Covid days room was not cleaned on our 2 night stay I guess this is a cost cutting measure but prices do not reflect this that for sure. I think the best part about this hotel in the area.

Clean room, decent breakfast

We have stayed here four times in the past 11 months and it has always been great - that’s why we have returned thrice. However, we checked in and found our room had not been cleaned. There was garbage on the floor, hair all over the bathroom, and gross stuff in the fridge. Not sure what happened but they didn’t have another king room for us to switch to. So we got some fresh bedding from the front desk, and did the best we could with some clorox wipes they had in the lobby. No one offered us any kind of solution, refund, discount, future enticement to return - nothing. But they did all of that nothing very nicely and politely, for whatever that’s worth. There are many other hotels on Big Beaver Rd.

Super clean, terrific breakfast, and wonderful staff!

I like that they had rooms to accommodate a family of five. I like the location. It was quiet. I didn't like the room I was in it was right above the pool so our room was very musty smelling. Not very clean Dead bug on the bathroom floor. No toilet paper on the toilet paper roll so I had to grab one and the only one that was available. When we were folding out the sofa bed we found Tootsie rolls and Tootsie roll wrappers under the cushions. I've had better Continental breakfast. Just expecting a little bit more for what we paid for one night. Would go back to the area but probably find a different hotel room next time.

The rooms smell horrible and are in dire need of a deep cleaning. The carpets give off a musty smell that is nearly impossible to mask or overcome.

A Deeply Disappointing Stay (Incomplete Review - Character Limit). As a family of three with extensive domestic and international hotel experience, we were shocked to encounter what ranks as our worst hotel stay to date at this Hampton Inn property. Day 1: Immediate Red Flags Upon Arrival After a grueling 14-hour flight, we arrived exhausted only to face: A room missing the advertised bathtub (critical for our toddler's bathing needs) No prior disclosure about this amenity discrepancy during check-in An overpowering chemical odor in our replacement room (later revealed to be bleach) Day 3: Cascading Service Failures 1. Key Malfunction: Key card failures at both side entrance and room door Required 2 trips to front desk for resolution Left standing outside with sleeping child for extended period 2. Housekeeping: Room not serviced despite promised full cleaning 60+ minute wait with no staff appearance Dismissive front desk interaction when scheduling next cleaning Day 4: The housekeeping "service" we received: ✓ Towels replaced ✗ Hairs in bathtub ✗ Unclean toilet/sink ✗ Unvacuumed carpets ✗ Unchanged bedsheets (with visible food crumbs) - Forced to change sheets ourselves after staff redirect Day 5: Inadequate Resolution Attempts Management intervention brought: Room change due to odor Hollow promise of Hilton points compensation (irrelevant for third-party bookers) Noisy neighbors disrupting sleep until 10:30pm despite multiple complaints

We switched a few rooms and ended up cut our loses. All the dinette rooms had a strong male musk, almost b.o. scent. We didn’t even spend the night knowing we will not be able to stand the room. Since it’s non refundable through Expedia, we didn’t bother arguing with the front desk since it would be outside of their control.

This is the 2nd time in 4 weeks that we have stayed at this Hampton Inn. The rooms are very nice, clean, and the beds are comfortable.

We flew in from out of town for Thanksgiving. I booked two rooms for my family and asked that we be next to each other. They did the best they could, which wasn’t a big deal. What was a big deal was being stuck right in the middle of a block of rooms for a travel hockey team. There was zero respect for anyone around them and they were loud well into the middle of the night. The first night I called the front desk to see if there were quiet hours and the night replied with “he wasn’t aware of any”. I was dreading the next night because we were having to get up at 3 am to get to the airport and I was already figuring I wouldn’t get any sleep. When I saw it was the same night guy I knew I wouldn’t. This time the hockey parents were loud and partied until about 2am and the front desk did nothing about it. Otherwise the location was fantastic. If we came back I’d probably try the Hilton across the parking lot and see if they aren’t a party hotel.

Our toilet was not flushing, we asked to be moved as they had no one to fix it. They could not move us. Dropped off a plunger. Toilet was unusable the next morning!

Room was clean and quiet, perfect for a night's rest

We had a great 2 night stay. Breakfast was suitable (typically hotel breakfast but served its purpose), room was clean, beds comfortable. Only complaint was the pillows were really soft, not a deal breaker. Our only complaint would be that we could hear the loud kids at the pool in our room. And they same loud kids/guests were on our floor and super loud all night. Yelling and banging on the door at 2 am. Obviously out of the hotels control, they did come up at 11:30 and asked them to quiet down. We will stay at this hotel again. Great location!!

Second time we've stayed here and recommend. We did have some issues this time. First room we checked into didn't have a functional toilet. They moved us immediately to a larger room. The new toilet also wasn't great and required multiple flushes each time. The shower took quite a while to reach temperature. One of the luggage carts was broken and the other barely functional. But this is mostly splitting hairs. Other than that, it met our expectations. Reasonably priced and close to lots of great dining and shopping options. Bit of a drive to get downtown but is managable and we knew that going in. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was fine too and did have some vegetarian options. We will be coming back.

Bed was fantastic, nice large room, room to move around. Couch was comfy (didn’t use the pull out so can’t comment on that). Bathroom was large and well maintained. Nice breakfast options.

Pretty good location and close to restaurants and the location where my business summit was. The minute you walk into room 218 It smells like BO or an outdoor sunroom that has been cleaned poorly. Very musty I put on the fan and that helped periodically. Unfortunately the AC and fan shut off automatically through the night. I did not get much sleep because of the fan issues and smell. The bathroom and closet were smell free and very clean. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable. I would stay here again if they update the rooms fan and smell. Not sure if they need to clean the windows and curtains or just need to fix the fan. The smell was not fun to comeback to after a long day of meetings and listening to presentations. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly!

There is a variety of food available for breakfast and the location is excellent. The internet was very slow and kept kicking me off; it was not reliable. Expedia did not list the location as having a pool; it would have been great to know that we could swim there.

We stay here quite often. This visit was very unpleasant. Upon arrival as we checked in , it looked like a youth hockey team set up. So noisy and obnoxious. Children running freely around the hotel , up and down our halls .Unsupervised by parents. Room too light. Curtains didn't shut all the way. Every time we needed to flush toilet, we had to remove toilet lid and stick our hands in water and pull chain to flush.Arrived to our room on 3rd evening, and we stopped at front desk. We were told we were checked out of our room.Thank goodness our personal items were still there . On a positive note, the young man working at the front desk went above and beyond to try and fix every problem. He was wonderful and none of the problems were his fault.

The staff could not find our reservations. When we finally got our rooms situated my mothers room had 1 king size bed that should have been 2 doubles. We ended up having to give up our room to them (which had 2 beds) because they said there were no rooms available. They said they had upgraded my mothers room to a king size bed but they had 3 people in the room so that was not going to work. So we had to give up our room and 1 person had to sleep on the couch. Not as comfortable. Air conditioner was very loud. All in all still a nice place.

The room was fine. The breakfast was terrible and the attendant was incredibly rude when I asked where something was. The front desk day worker was also incredibly rude when my wife asked him for a water.

Great service at check-in and very friendly at all hours of the day. The gentlemen working Sunday May 18th around 5:30PM was great and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing.

Woman at front desk and staff found my laptop on cart and saved me from losing a valuable computer.

Staff was like family!

Every thing was fine other than at check in they did not want to give us specific room be booked. It was three of us a senior and a teenager so I booked a room with 2 queen beds and they wanted to put us in a one king bed. After insisting that I did book specifically a 2 queen beds room and requesting that type of room it finally after 30 min somehow they found one room with 2 queen beds. Other than that all was great.

My favorite place to stay when I’m in town. The restaurant options are endless. The staff is always so accommodating and polite.

Great hotel! Very clean. breakfast had many options.. Only issue I had was, I was awake all night due to I have an issue sleeping anywhere else except my own bed.. Next time I'll make sure to bring something for that!!

The staff were incredibly friendly from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast. The breakfast is amazing! Great quality and offering of eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fruit and waffles! Plus the coffee was delicious. Great value. We found the hotel was very clean, spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!
