I am never one to write reviews, especially bad ones, because I have worked many years in the service industry and I am painfully aware how skewed most people's negative reviews are. Also, I know that most people who leave reviews have never worked in the hospitality world, because if they did, they would recognize that the surface level annoyances they speak of have little to do with their server or the cleaning staff, and has more to do with higher up management doing their job poorly or not paying their staff enough. With that said, I am compelled to write a review on my stay at Aspen At Manchester because, even after a couple of days, I still sit with frustration and annoyance. I stayed here for one night with my partner and two dogs, and right away we noticed that there were several things broken in our room. The towel rack was about to fall off of the wall, the shower faucet was not properly installed into the wall, the toilet seat was broken, and the bathroom sink drain was clogged. Further, the shower curtain (a highly permeable cloth curtain) was stained and mildewed. This is not a negative comment on the work of the cleaning staff, overall, the place felt clean, but the bones of the room felt cheaply built and lacked care. For the price of this place, I expect so much better. Important to note, there was never anyone working at the front desk the whole time we stayed, and the "breakfast" they offered was a gallon of milk and old cheerios. Do not waste your money!

No interaction with the staff. They were invisible. The water stream in the shower was weak, but everything else was very good.

I stayed at this hotel during the Vermont Summer Festival horse show. The location could not have been more convenient and the pool was a welcome amenity for my son. The self check-in was easy to understand, the rooms were clean and serviceable. However, the breakfast in the lobby was sparse and not stocked in the early mornings. This could definitely be improved for those of us who are up early and searching for coffee and grab-and-go options.

The motel was very nice and the location is perfect and very close to all of the restaurants and shops. The landscaping was beautiful and the view was amazing. My girls loved the free use of the Mountain Bikes and we enjoyed the fire pits at night. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was nice but it just had regular and Adirondack chairs but no actual lounge chairs which would have been a nice touch. The lobby was very nice and we played some of the Board Games Provided. They have a popcorn machine and smores kit which was really nice. Also, well stocked with extra towels, toiletries and bath tissues if needed. Things to improve on would be the pool and providing lounge chairs, water pressure in the shower was terrible but probably not much they can do about that. I would definitely stay here again as it was perfect for our travel needs and the price was great for everything offered. I also brought my dogs and they loved it too!!!
