Hotel Planter

Hotel Planter is a historic hotel located right on the town’s Main Street, within walking distance of shopping, dining, and museums. With only twelve rooms, it is a quiet retreat. My room was spotless, as was the lobby area, where they also offer coffee, tea, and an assortment of board games to borrow. I have stayed here numerous times, because the convenience, quiet, and friendly staff.

I wasn't aware that the entry is a stairway. Lucky we are able bodied.

Liked the historical building, one has to be able to climb a flight of stairs, no elevator. Really nice staff, good coffee, Hershey kisses available and bottled water included in the rooms.

An older historic hotel in downtown La Conner. Great location and views, high ceilings and eccentric decor. Full minimum amenities provided. Overall very quiet but no parking available (only on the street). The hotel was originally built before vehicles were available, so this makes sense.

I loved this place. In a building from 1907, the rooms are furnished with period pieces while still having modern amenities. There is not a lot of moving around space in the bedroom but the overall space is well planned especially the bathroom. The coffee/tea area in the lobby has a Keurig and microwave along with Biscoff cookies to go with your morning brew. There is a private, fairly shaded courtyard to relax in when it's not raining. Granted, you need to be able to climb a flight of stairs for the hotel and the courtyard (period, remember). But it's right downtown and for a very reasonable price. The final word is: Charming!!!

Loved the historical feel and look of the hotel the back court yard with its lights and fireplace was cozy rooms were good liked the little coffee bar and cookies in reception it was a good experience and I enjoyed staying at the hotel and going to the old fashioned confectionery in the bottom of the hotel

This hotel is located in a cool historic building in downtown. Easy access to shopping and dining. A couple of things to be aware of before booking: It states free parking. The free parking lot is a couple of blocks away, in a public lot which isn’t clear until you check in ask about it. There is a small unloading area right next to the hotel, which is helpful. One of the two spots appeared to be occupied by an employee’s car. We chose to park on the street a couple of blocks away, check in, and go to dinner. When we returned from dinner and the street in front of the hotel was open, we moved our car and unloaded our things. I don’t believe the hotel mentions all rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. We managed with our things, but I could see how this might be an issue for older people/disabled. The room was clean, especially the bathroom. The mattress and bedding were rough. The mattress had a memory foam topper which we personally found to be uncomfortable/not supportive. Two low quality pillows for two people. It was a 78 degree day, the night stayed. Our room (I’m guessing) stayed 75-80 degrees all night as there is no AC (old building, makes sense in retrospect). There was a ceiling fan that took the edge off, but I did not sleep well. The window did open, but there was no screen so we kept it shut to avoid bugs. At a peak summer price of ~$250, I wish we had done more research on the local hotel options.

It was clean and quiet. It was a guest room at grandmas house. Very small. Older decor and tv. Gentleman at the desk was very nice. No assigned parking, had to walk 2 blocks with bag’s after finding a parking spot on the street.

We stayed July, 2024 just as a heat wave was starting to develop. Nice place to stay at downtown La Conner. Looks like an old historic building that has been renovated. No AC, just ceiling fan. We were fine with that. We got a room facing the courtyard which was probably why the room wasn’t that hot. Street facing rooms look liked they would be really hot. There is heat for cold weather stays. The free parking is whatever spot you can find around the city. During busy times Hotel Planter will provide a pass to park at a paid lot nearby.

The bed we slept on was so uncomfortable. We hardly slept at all. The bath tub is gigantic, which was amazing. It just took over an hour to fill with low water pressure. The hotel lobby smells very musty.

My room was on the upper floor, no elevator and needed to walk up 2 floors. Room was clean and very nice. The bed was a little too soft for me but not a big deal. Loved the location to food and being able to walk around. Would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is renovated and the bed was comfortable, good pillows, very clean bathroom, nice towels.

We had a lovely stay. It’s very intimate. The rooms are very cute. It takes you back to a different time. It’s very relaxing. Very clean!!!We will return when visiting La Connor.

The Hotel was ok for an overnight stay, there should be a note that Parking is on a quite busy street. The in room TV was Very old with terrible picture quality. and I'm Knocking a star off for that. Nice Area though with lots of Nice eatery's

Small, clean historic hotel in a great location on the main street of LaConner. The staff was friendly. The outside courtyard looked nice, but otherwise not much to the hotel. Newer TV and bigger fridge/freezer in the room were nice. Our only complaint was that the mattress was very uncomfortable (like staying at great grandma’s level uncomfortable).

Be prepared to be an early riser for the noisy garbage and delivery trucks across the street. The work day starts at 5:45.

Lovely boutique hotel across from the water in LaConner. Cute, cozy, unique. Lovely little hangout area in the back and an awesome authentic ice cream parlor downstairs circa 1940’s. Very nice staff as well.

This was my second time staying there. Great location. I was looking forward to the old guy who ran the place, but they're under new owners When I go to la connor I will be staying there

La Connor is a cute, quiet town along the river. Nice place to just kick back and relax. Crab boats were in and lots of early morning fog.

So convenient to all the shops and restaurants! Staff were lovely... friendly and accomodating. (Just an FYI no elevator or AC) We absolutely enjoyed our stay!

This place was fabulous.quaint, quiet and perfect for our trip to the area for the April Tulip festival. I felt like I was in a Victorian Mansion. The staff was friendly even brought us coffee in the morning, after he finished freshly grinding the beans.
