From check in to the complimentary breakfast and parking, our stay was wonderful! The staff were all very friendly, room was so clean and huge! Wish it was available for the next time we are up to visit our daughter, but it is all booked and I can see why - we will definitely be staying here again in the future! Thank you!

Nice stay! Quiet, clean, comfortable rooms and bed. Helpful staff, great breakfast. Small fitness center and pool, though we didn't use the latter due to the timing of events we attended. Would definitely stay again.

We visited during Memorial Day weekend and the pool and the hot tub were closed. We’ve stayed here before and were surprised to learn when we arrived it was closed during our stay. It was an okay stay, happy with cleanliness, parking, and proximity to beach. However with a young child who loves the pool that was a huge let down. Unsure if we’ll stay here again. Maybe time to check out other places on our bi annual visits to Santa Cruz.

This little gem is in a quiet part of Santa Cruz, walking distance to the east entrance of Natural Bridges State Park. We are very careful about COVID, so we were happy that we could very easily take our breakfast outside to eat. I appreciated the 24/7 fitness room and pool and spa, though we ended up not using the latter.

I loved how quiet and clean this place is and how helpful the staff are. I had some reservation changes and they had no problem accomodating me. My room had a great view of the ocean from the balcony, plus it was super clean and I could control the heat. Definitely the best pick for a getaway to Santa Cruz--only 2 minutes from Wilder State Park, Natural bridges and great coffee shops. Will stay here again!

We stayed for 9 nights and the place was cleaned only for one time..that too when we insisted. I was told that "refreshing" is done every three days. But it seems that what they say at the counter is different than what actually cleaning personals are instructed. The filter of the AC/Heater has not been changed and everyone in the family has allergy with runny nose. Don\'t be fooled by Marriott brand--for profit and meeting cost-savings targets, services and breakfast quality has turned pathetic. Will never stay at Bonvoy

This accommodation was fine for a short 1-night stay and one of the most affordable lodging available in the area. The rooms, lobby, and breakfast area could be cleaner. If we return to the Santa Cruz area, we'd probably stay elsewhere.

Room was clean but wheel chair accessible and smelled a little musty. It was also smaller than the Capitola rooms and the tub was tiny. The very worst was that the tv did not play channel 2 and by the time the tech came it was halftime on the Super Bowl, so we thought, in fact we didn’t even get the actual game, that game was from 2 years ago. We missed the whole superbowl!!!! Also couldn’t watch the Warriors game the next day even with our own app. On that tv.

My room was on the side of the hotel that faces Mission, so all night I would hear cars taking off from the stoplight like they were drag racing. It was loud and I certainly didn't get a good nights sleep. If you want quiet, best to ask for a room on the opposite side of the building.

A rather stark hotel, average business grade. This is the only place I've stayed in years which does not include complimentary wi-fi with the room. To get that you have to enroll in the Bonvoy marketing program and get the spam.

Very clean, newer hotel in a bit away from downtown SC. Room is large, bathroom is also roomy, a refrigerator and a microwave. Comfy bed. Quiet area. We stayed only one night and no problems but some notes; thin walls. I could hear every word next room guest said. They were very quiet by 10pm the night we stayed, so no issues. Amenities such as tiny hand soap and moisturizer was a bit looked cheap, despite of everything else was good. Would be nice to have complimentary bottles of water in a room but you can buy them easy at snack kiosk by the front desk. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, went to a cup of cappuccino and breakfast plates at near by bakery cafe, Companion. 5mins drive and great place. Overall, great stay. We will definitely stay here next time we will be in Santa Cruz.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. They were friendly and funny, and after a long day of driving, they made us feel welcome. The breakfast in the morning was also very nice. The room was larger than expected, and the bed was comfortable.

We arrived after 5p to check in to our hotel after a 5 hour drive to the location. There were 3 families ahead of us and they did not have rooms ready for any of us because NO ONE WAS SCHEDULED TO WORK. There was a young man at the desk, letting us know that 30 rooms would bot be cleaned and so he would be sending us to another Marriott location- 25 minutes from where we were. We had booked this particular location because it is walking distance to our family. He originally offered to lower the price and put us in the queen room that was ready, then a call to his manager was an “upgrade” to a “better” room which was simply handicapped and the balcony does not have any furniture on it so it is useless. Although we felt for the young man who was doing his best, his manager abandoned him and only 2 cleaning people were working. He said this was not the first time this has happened. It was very stressful and by using expedia, there was nothing he could do. Expedia was unavailable at that time on our end too so we couldn’t get any customer service. Terrible experience.

The check-in experience wasn’t ideal. I showed up about an hour early and understood that my room wasn’t ready and just waited in lobby. Then other guests arrived and were all getting checked in immediately to their rooms. Finally after 15 min of waiting after the check in time I went to counter and was able to check in. Not sure how they missed we waiting in lobby when there was only 1 other person besides me waiting. Also, tv was not working in the bed area. Other than the above, hotel still a nice place to stay.

Everything about the stay there was a complete nightmare!!! The manager is horrible. The staff is horrible. They were lying to us, giving us the runaround and even keyed into our room without even a knock. Staff watched my husband walk out of the room and as soon as he got out of sight, the staff member keyed right in while I was in there waiting for my husband! No knock it was absolutely horrifying!

I had the pleasure of staying in the Fairfield last week. My trip was to only last 4 days, but I was enjoying myself so much I extended my stay. Bright and clean room Quiet. Lovely breakfast daily and coffee all day. The entire staff were excellent and worked so well together. You could tell that they were having fun. The hotel guests included families ( they have a pool and hot tub) people on business trips, high schoolers who were playing in local sport event. All were having a good time. Thanks.

The hotel wanted to give me a Queen bed even though I had paid for a King plus a sofa bed because it was a “busy” weekend. We wouldn’t take it and after a half hour at check in and a lot of drama by the hotel we finally got the room we paid for.

We have stayed here many times over the years since it opened. Walking distance to Natural Bridges and a short walk to dining options. Farmer's Market nearby on Saturdays. For UCSC parents it's convenient as well.
