Airplanes flights overhead and the hotel don't have good sound isolation in the windows and balcony doors. On the bakside where our balcony was there is some type of ventilation system running 24/7 thar also was very present inside our room with the doors closed.

Very clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Only unusual feature was shower and WC in separate areas of the room. Opaque doors not ideal. Jacuzzi needs a hand rail as area around is very slippery when wet! An excellent breakfast 👌

One of the worse experiences I’ve had in a hotel anywhere, but in particular Lisbon as we’ve been here a few times and always enjoyed it. We checked in to 2 rooms - in my daughter’s room, upon opening of bathroom door a huge cockroach ran out. Luckily my husband caught it, showed the staff who were deeply apologetic, said it never happens, very unusual and uograded her and her friend to another room. I have a phobia of these creatures, made sure the staff were aware and asked if it was a problem in the hotel I should be aware of - they very clearly said no and rest assured with confidence that all rooms were inspected upon cleaning/ handover. In the morning, our wedding anniversary, as we’re getting ready my husband sees another cockroach in OUR room this time. Moving the bed to catch it I ran downstairs to notify the reception desk. The person there was adamant that Lisbon has a cockroach pandemic across the city and they can’t help it. No matter how much they try they can’t be sure they’ve done enough. Okay - if that’s the case then I should’ve been told and treating a cockroach infestation as normal - in what’s meant to be a 4 start hotel - is frankly ludicrous. We have stayed in Africa, Asia, climates much hotter than Portugal and we’ve never come across such a lax attitude. Ultimately we were offered a bolt ride to our next destination and no further compensation - oh apart from lunch in their restaurant - after the breakfast experience (another story) no thanks.

The staff at this hotel was beyond amazing. My room on the other hand was not so great. They couldn't get my air working, but they did bring me a fan. The fan did help a little bit, but still didnt cool the room off completely. My television also timed out every 60 seconds while watching it. They tried to fix it, but couldn't figure it out.
