We stayed in one of the cottages. It was spacious with a balcony, mini frig and coffee maker.The cottages are built on an incline, but there are many other choices if walking uphill is a problem. There is a great indoor pool and exercise room. A sit down breakfast in a lovely dining room is included with fresh fruit cup, muffins, scones, and a menu selection with about 5 choices made to order. Stephanie will definitely keep your coffee cup filled. This place is wonderful for a midweek getaway. Bushkill Falls is not far and antique stores, museums, and just the beauty of the Pocono area. Stroudsmoor is a wedding venue so it is very busy on weekends. Its only an hour from north Jersey. This is a family owned business and the hospitality of everyone we met was warm and welcoming.

Took my wife here for a romantic weekend getaway and it was a great decision! The atmosphere, the buldings, landscape and mood of this place is amazing! Theres this one spot we went to where theres a gazebo thing overlooking the moutains and the view took her breathe away. The facilities were clean including the pool and and hot tub. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a romantic and chill place in the poconos.

This is quaint, but very dark. The property needs an upgrade . There is no elevator and the stairs are steep. There are no individual heat controls in the rooms and inadequate light. Staff is friendly.

The property is beautiful and set up for events. The dining room is well appointed and the food and service the day we were there was excellent. There is a nice indoor swimming pool and a nature trail. We enjoyed our stay.

The inn rooms are up a flight of stairs and there is no elevator. The staff did carry my bag up and down, as I was injured. Room was pleasant, bed comfortable, 2 windows but no view. The tub faucet dripped, there was no stopper for the tub. No coffee station. I was told I needed a dinner reservation to eat there, latest available was 6:30. In the vast dining room, one table was occupied when I arrived, 2 couples came later than 6:30, no more than 3 tables were ever occupied. There was no listing of wines by the glass, I was just told what kinds were available. I ordered Pinot Grigio to be safe, it was dreadful. There is a very extensive salad bar. I ordered red snapper, the vegetables it came with had more flavor than the fish. A radio playing schmaltz was on in the dining room, Fox News blared in the bar. Both were turned off at my request. The early "breakfast" from 7-8 consisted of tasty blueberry muffins, apples, coffee in styrofoam cups with no milk or cream, just coffeemate. No plates, just tiny napkins. Fox News was blaring again. It felt like only certain kinds of people were welcome.

Coming in the off-season, I found the service and amenities at Stroudsmoor to be disappointing. The staff made it seem like it was an inconvenience to check me in and out, and I had to stand at the front desk with all my stuff waiting for someone to be bothered to help me. Even though I called ahead, no one mentioned to me that the pool and fitness center were closed for maintenance until I had already arrived. I was also told breakfast would likely not be served because there weren't enough guests, even though the price of breakfast is included in the price! I was not refunded the value of breakfast. I was specifically looking for a place with breakfast included and a fitness room for exercise, so I found this extremely disappointing. I came in from the pouring rain from a long day of driving, waited around at the front desk, and then had to carry my own luggage up the twisting stairs. I don't mind putting my muscles to use, but I believe it's customary for inns like this to at least offer to help you with your baggage. On a more positive note, the grounds were beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the room was nice - although the bed was stiff and flimsy like a board. Overall, I would NOT recommend this lodge. There must be better places to stay in the Poconos with friendlier service.

We had the loveliest time here! After check in we sat and had a drink on our private balcony in the Ledgemere Suites which overlooked the woods as far as we could see. We swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. Our room was spacious and the whirlpool tub was relaxing. We did not want to leave. The bed was very comfortable.

We stayed in cabin 50 for one night whilst skiing. The cabin was cute but the bathroom was pretty dirty - black grime on floor and shower tiles and around the sink, the toilet was black inside from age, and there were splotches of soap/toothpaste from previous guests. Probably nothing that some bleach and good scrubbing couldn’t have fixed. Interestingly, at check-out, no one asked how our stay was, which I would think a family-owned business would have cared to ask.

Stayed at the Inn. It is old, and the wall air conditioning unit had a very bad odor that saturated the bed sheet too. Mentioned this it to the receptionist on check out to look into since I couldn’t sleep all night with the smell. bathroom vent also needs cleaning. Beds are very soft. Bathroom otherwise has newer shower and sink which is adequate. Breakfast was nice and plentiful, more healthy options like oatmeal and avocado would be nice additions. Would stay again after checking room first to ensure AC unit not a problem. Hiking trail was nice. Area is quite and pretty

Service was average at the front desk. Housekeeping almost entered our room on 2 separate occasions on the last day (probably two different workers), but they kept rattling the connecting room door. It should’ve been aa simple as them just going to clean the one room they needed to rather than trying to enter an occupied one. Only muffins, scones, and coffee were offered for their “continental breakfast.” No microwaves available. We felt each and every spring under the mattress. During our 3 day stay, we found 6 of those brown stink bugs flying around the room and landing in various corners of the cottage, 1 came out of the humidifier on the first night and we found one under the sheets on the last night so we just decided to ask family to stay with them. Hair found in different parts of the bathroom. Towels had clear gray bits of lint throughout them. This will be my last stay here.

I paid extra for a jacuzzi tub to have it blow out a black moldy substance. Hotel staff offered to switch room while I was checking out. Made no sense. Why switch with an hour left on reservation. Also plan on finding a public toilet to use as the toilet area is very small at only 2’ wide. I was then offered a 25.00 refund through Expedia for a room I paid 100.00 more for because of jacuzzi which we could not use. The hotel has a great restaurant. Go to eat but stay elsewhere.

The bathroom had mold in it The carpet in the room was very old and stained the HVAC was very noisy. There were no accessible outlets for charging electronics. The bathroom was very small and it had a tub and shower curtain rather than sliding doors. The room decor was very dark.

Serene setting. Extremely quiet. Rooms are dated. Shower nozzle flew off while I turned on full pressure however I got it to work. Outdated tvs with analog settings. Wi-Fi did not work. Nice free breakfast though and Laura at the bar was great!

Room was cute and clean but mattress felt like sleeping on plywood. The tiny bathroom had no flat surfaces for placing anything, even the soap dish was so slanted the soap wouldn’t stay put. The tv had a weak signal and was very blurry/pixelated. We were disappointed and will likely not stay again.

The hotel overcharged me. I had already paid in advance through Hotels.com but the clerk who checked me in charged my debit card for a whole nights stay. I had a different clerk tell me she fixed it and refunded me the money when I checked out, but there is no credit to my bank account. They seemed to have poorly trained clerks working in the evening, young women who lack professionalism. It didn’t give me a secure feeling.

They were very accommodating to our need for an early check in because the party we were going to started at 3 pm and we had traveled from CT. Friendly, personable, and we had a wonderful at their venue for the D’Ambrosio’s 50th wedding anniversary!! Beautiful grounds!! Room was clean and spacious!! Lovely place!!

No need for Reservation Manager to be dishonest. Would not recommend. I got a good price for a stay for one night in November for a wedding through Expedia. There was a problem and I was gven information by the manager that was . Expedia not true. Twice. Expedia was cooperative and helped but there was no need for not being straight with me and caused me inconvenience.

The property is extremely dark at night time. The lobby is in the 2nd building you come too. Perhaps avoid coming after dark if possible. Staff was very polite. Loved the back porch on the cabin.

Ledgemere Suites are lovely: set-up is comfortable, jacuzzi and fireplace work perfectly, and private balcony has a beautiful view. Staff is friendly and accommodating. However, service is reduced since my last stay: room service is no longer available, and I have seen better "Continental breakfasts" at the Super 8.
