I had a nice visit. The rooms are very modern and quiet. Comfortable beds and pillows. Location was awesome. I would recommend they have coffeemakers in the rooms- it was disappointing that they didn't. Also, in the suites, the bathroom sink/ mirror is in a very dark corner so it was really hard to put on makeup.

The property was super modern — sadly the AC was not working properly so I got offer some discount. It works because I only stay for a day but my friends had two nights of that. Not fun in the summer. But we spent most of our day out, and used bicycle from the hotel which was fun. Location is excellent. And a nice bar on site. Will return if the AC is fixed. Since it’s a boutique hotel — no other amenities offered.

Our stay at Drift Santa Barbara was memorable from check-in to check-out. The keyless, contactless system was seamless—easy arrival and departure on our own schedule. The room was a pleasure with modern fixtures, a comfortable, cozy bed, and a rain shower. Everything on the property felt stylish and well cared for. Dusk and Dawn are the heartbeats of the Drift Hotel. Dusk invites you to unwind with craft cocktails in a warm mezcal bar featuring bold pours and shareable bites with live music offered on Tuesday evenings. Dawn greets you with fresh coffee and a bright start to your day. Guests enjoy complimentary drip coffee, free bicycles for exploring the area, and paid public parking that sits right behind the hotel. The location is unbeatable. Right on State Street, we walked to restaurants, bars, the beach, the Tuesday farmers market, the Museum of Art, independent bookstores, and Paseo Nuevo shopping mall. Free bikes took us farther. We pedaled to the El Mirador Clock Tower and climbed to its 88-foot deck, enjoying a full 360-degree panorama of the coast and mountains. Drift is convenient and quiet, with a relaxed style that made our Southern California staycation feel special. We highly recommend it and are already looking forward to coming back.

The hotel was cute but the room was tiny with a completely clear glass shower in the middle of the room. Also the bed is fixed to the walls so there’s only one side to get in and out of the bed. They really meant cozy when they described the room. The cafe and bar downstairs was convenient but also a bit loud at night. We didn’t know it at the time but it was graduation weekend for UCSB so the cost of accommodations were a bit astronomical. I think the room would have been more economically priced during off season. I would recommend if you are trying solo. If you are traveling with another person, I hope you know each other very well.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and they were very welcoming and paid attention to detail. The staff was very warm ands welcoming. Appreciated the free coffee each morning and both Dusk and Dawn being in such close proximity was amazing. The location was very walkable. Besides the small space for storing out luggage, we would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be returning.
