Nice hotel, but there was a strong perfume smell in our room that gave me a rotten headache. I had to take allergy meds the whole time I was staying there.. Everything still reeked of perfume when I got home, so I had to wash everything and had to air out my suitcase for quite a while when I got home. The self parking was quite a distance away, so we used their valet parking instead. Aside from costing more and having to remember to call 15 minutes ahead, valet parking worked out well. The workers were friendly and our car was always ready at the time they said. The hotel is also close to the city bus line to get into downtown (ticket machines are in each little station) and there is a frequent shuttle for getting around within the Cleveland Clinic The restaurant in the hotel had a nice setting, but the breakfast food was mediocre, especially considering the exorbitant cost for the poor quality food. .The “scrambled” eggs were overcooked, hard, and dried out. I suspect they cooked them in a large pan in the oven. The “scone” had surprisingly large chunks of dry flour in it. The whole meal was dried out and disgusting. After the first day we got the warmed up egg sandwiches from the little coffee shop in the lobby by the restaurant. They were moist,, hot, and delicious. The yogurt parfaits were delicious as well. The woman who worked there was always cheery and efficient. Highly recommend! They also have a nice 24/7 grab-n-go food area which was helpful.

If you have an appointment at the Cleveland clinic, this Holiday Inn is great because shuttles go directly to various buildings in the complex. They have a restaurant which is great and a snack bar when the restaurant isn’t open, also great. The rooms are large and comfortable. I will say that I found a roach in my bathroom, a live one, but that sort of thing can happen. And weirdly on one day there was a guy who looked as if he might be homeless eating lunch he had bought the snack bar between the two doors of the lobby. I was told he was actually a hotel guest and was autistic, which would seem to indicate that he was a long-term guest if they knew that about him. There was also a redneck woman in the snack bar who yelled at me because she felt that I was not sufficiently respectful to the snack bar attendant. She made a real public scene, in fact. I later went back and asked the attendant if I’ve been rude and apologized if I had. She said she didn’t know what that woman was talking about and had thought that it was some sort of performance thing between friends. so aside from the roach, I guess my complaint is more about the hotel guest than the hotel itself. Let’s put it this way: I would stay there again if I had to go back to the clinic. Oh, one more thing the dove products they use for lotion and soap, etc. smell perfectly awful.

This is my second stay at this motel. I liked the room, the staff, the breakfast is great. You can’t ask for a better place to stay.

No regular coffee in the room. For the sink, there was shampoo instead of hand wash to wash your hands. Very nice hotel.
