Let’s start with the room. It was not cleaned very well. Dirt all over the floors, stains, and not stocked with adequate tissue, soap, towels, etc for two people staying multiple days. The staff were stingy with towels so you had to bring your used towels back to them because your only allowed two towels per room at a time. You’re only allowed one roll of tissue at a time so when we ran out my hubby had to run down stairs to get more. The staff weren’t very helpful. Did not speak much English. The dining area smelled like straight sulfur and pollution as well as other parts of the property. Expedia said this place had a gym. They lied. They have 3 pieces of equipment (2 broken) in the dining area that also doubles as a hotel hoarder situation. This hotel is next to a school where the children literally just play and scream all day till 5pm. The bed…. Omg the bed…. A BRICK! literally. I’m not exaggerating. Lord I really wish I was. I do not recommend.

This place seems to be owned by a Christian church, and as such, they are money hungry. They only give you 2 600ml bottles of water per room per day, charging for any extra. The "free" coffee is horrible with dirty chipped cups mixed with the clean chipped cups, and no clean teaspoons. They have a bunch of confusing rules on the back of the room door eg. No standing on towels? The bed was so hard I'd have been better sleeping on the floor! Its very badly insulated so i could hear every noise in the hallway and outside. They had a tv channel list with 180 channels on it, but only 34 channels available. Dont waste your money here

Room is up to Thai standard. Elevator works. Pool is small, and the place is a long way from the city center. But good value for the money.

I stayed at Eden Garden only because I came back to Chiang Mai and all other places were booked solid because of the Loi Krathong festival. It’s a bit of a way from the centre (about 4km). That wasn’t a big problem as I usually ordered Grab moped that would get me into town for 50 baht. The bonus is it’s a quiet area. The negative is there isn’t really anything around the hotel. The staff were great and very clean rooms.
