This is a nice property in a very convenient location to many restaurants and in close proximity to the Rockin R for innertube rentals. The staff were all very nice and professional. The battery in our door's access pad needed to be replaced after putting he luggage in the room but that was not going to happen until Monday. We were first told that we would be placed in a Queen Suite; but, that ended up not happening since they had none available after our first night there. After the manager was called by the front desk attendant, we were told that we would have to get someone at the front desk to let us in with a key. That was not acceptable to me since we would have to wait in line each time we wanted to get back in our room. Eventually, we were relocated to the adjacent room. I am not sure why this wasn't done to begin with but this was a perfect resolution. The breakfast assortment was good but it took longer than expected for food to be replenished. Over the four nights/five days there, bacon was never served which was in contrast to the website pics. There was only one small tray of cinnamon rolls out at a time; so, that was empty the majority of the time. We were told breakfast began at 9a; however, it was apparent it began earlier since there were families finishing their meals when we arrived promptly at 9a. Ice machines are only on the 1st and 3rd floors.

easy check in. Easy to find my room rooms were so nice. The only thing that I did not care for as they’ve moved the coffee downstairs, but I understand it would save money and it was fresh ground and it was very good but inconvenient the other thing that was huge for me was there was only one ice machine on the first floor, and I was located on the top floor only one ice machine in a hotel that doesn’t make sense. Other than that, the facilities were beautiful clean property was well-maintained and the staff was so courteous highly recommend.

Stayed two nights here for a wedding. The room was clean, had two beds, a mini-fridge, and view of a large grassy area, plenty of parking, breakfast and cable. The surrounding area was quiet, black out curtains, air conditioning, and comfy bed made for a pleasant night. Restaurants and shopping nearby. I would stay here again.

Super comfy beds and pillows for travelers like us! We were able to check-in two hours early after a 16 hour road trip. 24 hour guest laundry and gym. Excellent breakfast options. Family friendly. Safe and affordable for a family of five!

We stay in many hotels worldwide when traveling and rarely make reviews unless we have amazing or terrible experiences. This experience was definitely not terrible! The staff at this Holiday Inn Express are pretty helpful and accommodating without being in your face. Check in/ check out was a breeze. The room and facilities were very clean. What we loved most was the amount of counter space and areas to place our luggage upon. There was more in this room than most other places we have ever stayed. It was nice not to have to use the fold-out luggage rack that has straps connecting the X-shaped wood framing. There were also a number of hangers outside the small closet for us to hang things upon. As a guy with wide frame, whose clothes hangers had to go diagonal when the closet door was closed in order to let it close, I sure appreciated that. What was even better was when a small breakoff group from our friend's wedding decided to have a quiet after-party, one of the night staffers was helpful in lining up some cups and allowed us to sit outside so long as we promised not to swim (no problem; we were a group of 7 old friends that don't see each other enough, so just wanted to catch up quietly while smoking cigars and sipping wine). We got to enjoy another few hours together before parting ways the next day, so I am grateful to that gentleman that did not hassle us about quietly gathering. Will stay here again-

The check in was easy. The room was incredibly spacious and clean. The only downside was that there is no outside seating aside from a bench by the carport.

The Hotel was clean and the service was great. The room was clean and comfortable. There were two queen beds, a pull out sofa, a table, plenty of storage space, a nice size television, a microwave, a mini refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water, good water pressure, plenty of Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap which I loved. There was also a blow dryer and the hotel offers free toiletries if needed. There’s also a pool, work out room, and laundry room. Breakfast included hot items such as pancakes, cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausage, cheese omelettes, potatoes, bean and cheese tacos as well as grab and go items like yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast…etc. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and plan to return to Holiday Inn next time we are in town.

Excellent location with clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Super breakfast buffet. But the outstanding feature was the front-desk staff. I had an issue with my Ubereats delivery that the evening staff handled for me and a printing issue that the morning staff handled for me. SUPER staff!

Great place, workers are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located with everything close by very convenient. The only complaint was the cleanliness, this could definitely be better, the shower curtain was filthy. Other than that I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was a little dingy with wallpaper coming off in the bathroom and a little hole on the wall. Other than that it was clean.

I asked if we could switch rooms, and he said no b/c they were not the same type of room we had booked. I asked if he could take a blanket from one of the unoccupied rooms, and he said no b/c then he wouldn't be able to sell those rooms that night. It was after midnight! The desk clerk looked and spoke like he was high on something. So our daughter got a blanket the first night of our stay, and my husband and I did not. The following morning, there was a different person at the front desk and she gladly accommodated our request for a blanket for the second bed in our room. Other than dirty blankets, and some crumbs and candy wrappers left on the floor, the hotel was pretty clean. The breakfast is very good for a motel breakfast, with lots of options.

Very disappointed in room cleanliness and appearance.Dirty appearing bathroom floor, wallpaper peeling in places, wall patched but not painted and bathroom door would not lock.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff was great, rooms were clean and complimentary breakfast was awesome! We have been to many hotels and this was one of the few to offer a great variety of delicious choices. The ONLY reason for my 4 stars is that when entering, since room was hot it had a musty smell. It started going away as room got fresh. Other than that, would definitely stay again and do recommend.

We were only in New Braunfels for one night, but we loved everything about our stay here — clean room, comfortable bed, large bathroom, great breakfast, and very friendly service. We would definitely stay here again!

It was decent but the shower curtain was completely destroyed, the window shade had holes throughout it, and the toilet was not properly clean. There was a steak of urine down the front of it that was missed. It wasn’t horrible but these little things can make or break it.

It’s always clean when we stay there and the staff is awesome!

Room was very clean. Water pressure in shower was not that great. But overall stay was good.

The room was 78 degrees. I booked 2 nights and I had to check out early due to bad A/C on the 4th floor. I asked for a fan a midnight and the person in charge was nice to help find one but the rooms were small and extremely HOT!! $180 a night I don’t think so!

we were on 2nd floor. The people above us were romping and stompng both days at 6 in the moring and midnite. We just dealt with it. I think my next stay will be on top floor.

The property is very nice and the staff as well, with one exception the guy the night I checked in, were outstanding. I did not get the room I had requested and the ceiling was paper thin. It felt like the person above me was trying to get in 100k steps last night.

Staff was great, breakfast was yummy. We had a loud banging/ noise outside our room (outside of building all night (rm 126) and shower head seem to be broken as water flow was not great

The AC was quite noisy, and the water pressure at the property was horrible. Likely the worst hotel water pressure I’ve ever encountered. Otherwise, the hotel was fine.

Rooms are clean. Beds are semi-comfortable, but definitely makes us miss our mattress at home. To be fair, haven’t found a hotel that with great mattresses. Water pressure is very weak. Breakfast was good.

The pillows are amazing. Sounded like an elephant above us & water pressure on the low side. Staff was very accommodating.

Our stay was amazing, from check-in to check-out. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, quest services were very prompt when we asked for more towels, the complimentary breakfast was delish. We will definitely be staying there again!

Quick overnight stay but this location exceeded our expectations. The staff were very respectful and attentive, offering great customer service. This location had a variety in breakfast options which stands out compared to other hotels. Location is great as well, highly recommend!

The gentleman at the desk on Friday night and Saturday morning was so nice and personable. Unfortunately the girl this morning was not friendly or helpful at all. She answered questions with a short tone and as little interaction as possible.

We had a small problem with AC unit in room. Made a lot of noise and a maintenance man apparently worked on it. No improvement. Brian at front desk was fantastic and was very concerned about the quality of our stay. He offered to modus to a different room. Hotel is lucky to have him.

From the greeting we received by the Guest Services Manager, Bryan Soske upon arrival to the check-out when we were leaving after an emotional weekend for my parent's memorial service, our stay was more than expected. Bryan made sure that we had a room on the upper floor after I had requested one at the last minute. The room had just been cleaned, he let us know. The customer service was impeccable, beginning with Bryan, but by all of the staff. We were always greeted by, "Hello Mr. Yaeger or Mrs. Yaeger" like we were celebrities. Even though the hotel is older, it was very clean and smelled very nice everywhere we went. The breakfast buffet was great as well. We loved the egg white omelets! The presentation was appetizing, the food was hot, and it all tasted delicious. Holiday Inn has always had a fairly good reputation for service and cleanliness and we appreciate that. I am sad to say that not all of them are managed as well as others, but Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Braunfels by IHG is managed by and run by highly trained individuals that also care about their jobs and their customers. This is rare today and these people exceeded our expectations. Bryan even offered me a hug and a blessing as we were leaving, knowing I was still emotional after the memorial. I cannot thank you all enough for our enjoyable stay. We will return to this hotel the next time we are in the area. Keep up the good work guys!

Bed was a little firm but doable. Great shower and despite being near the elevators it was quiet. Conveniently located to freeway and amazing food. The sign for the hotel is facing the wrong direction and not lit. I missed the turn several times.

Staff was amazing and helpful with area recommendations. For some reason Waze did not take us to the property; thank goodness we spotted the property on the drive in and were able to figure out how to come in thru the back lot; weird.

Our stay was lovely! The hotel was clean, as was our room, impeccably so. The bed was super comfortable, as were the pillows, and it was quiet. We slept wonderfully well! And the staff were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. The location was great, we came for a musical performance at Gruene Hall, and it was only minutes from the Gruene Historic District. We will definitely return!

This was a clean, comfortable hotel experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room, although showing a few signs of wear, was very clean. Bedding was comfortable. Shower pressure was great. Overall the hotel seemed pretty quiet. Breakfast was ok. They had the usual breakfast options, but a lot of it wasnt hot. The coffee was great. As a hotel brand in general, they offer few options for people who need to avoid allergens like dairy. I wish they'd consider offering some milk substitutes. Overall, decent comfortable stay, but nothing extra or noteworthy. I stay in this town frequently, but next time we'll look for a hotel that has more breakfast accommodations.

Overpriced compared to hotels where we usually stay in New Braunfels, TX. Not any nicer than several others. Had to wait for food in the breakfast area. It was clean. None of the places we usually stay were available, and there was nothing special going on in town. I question their an availability now.

This is our favorite place to stay for going to the river and the breakfast is incredible! Love the pillows!! Wish they sold them, lol!
