Our stay was great and just a place to sleep and recharge after a full day of sightseeing. Please note that this is a guest house run by a group of Franciscan nuns, so it's no-frills but very central to Rome's historical attractions. Breakfast and coffee served are a perfect way to start your day. There are great places to eat around the hotel, with excellent Asian food options, since this is the unofficial Chinatown of Rome. The only issue was the very hard mattresses, but otherwise it was clean, quiet, and perfect for our needs.

This place is above and beyond my expectations. Although the review was very high at 9.2/10 at the time I booked this hotel, but you never know what you are getting until you actually lived in it and compare with other hotels. I have been in 3 hotels during this Italy trip and this one star hotel outperformed another 3 stars hotel in terms of room size, cleanliness, working condition of all amenities, and most important of all, breakfast quality. Their rooms are spacious with super high ceilings that make it feel even more spacious and comfortable. Design is minimalistic and simple. But that makes it clean and tidy. Their breakfast has the greatest selections. The only problem was the shower water temperature is not consistent. All of a sudden, it becomes very hot for a short while, then gets back to normal. This phenomenon cycled a few times when I showered. The only thing I find it inconvenient is lack of chairs and luggage rack. But I guess this is standard for a one star hotel. Lastly, this hotel is situated inside the Rome city wall so taxi to FCU airport is only 55 Euro, no extra charge. All staff are nice and helpful, which I do not find it common in Italy. Overall it's a great place to stay.
