We had 2 unexpected nights in Nairobi and chose this hotel due the proximity of visiting things of interest. There is a shopping mall close by with options for lunch and dinner. The hotel had a great selection for breakfast and very good room service dinner, excellent gym and the rooftop bar and pool was nice to have, you cant lie out in the sun though.

Room was wonderful. Staff very attentive. Pool a bit of a disappointment as not as it appeared in pictures. Also was icy cold and therefore not very swimmable. One of the reasons we booked was because of this pool. Also, website on Expedia is misleading, as this hotel is actually twice as far from Sarit Centre as indicated. The map is not correct.

What a great hotel. The rooms are big, bright and comfortable. The service is friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The service is friendly and efficient. And it's excellent value! This is my new favourite hotel in Nairobi. The gym deserves a special mention. It has a wide range of machines and free weights and expert trainers. It has outside members, so everything is well maintained.

The room was clean with good space. I did miss a refrigerator in the room even though there was an empty cabinet designed for one. It would have been nice to keep my drinking water cold. I liked being able to connect my phone to the TV to view my own content. WIFI was strong. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Security was very good, they seemed very concerned about my safety. There is a shopping mall with a market down the street (walkable) which was convenient. The breakfast was very good with long hours of availability so you don't feel rushed. I stayed 2 separate times during my trip.

Das Hotel ist schon ein paar Jahre alt und koennte an einigen Stellen etwas Renovierung benoetigen. Z.B. Fugen iim Bad, Vor dem Zimmer ist der Estrich beschaedigt und der Teppich liegt nur auf. Das Personal ist freundlich. Allerdings wurde der bestellte WakeUpCall nicht ausgefuehrt und auch das bestellte Fruehstueck vor 6.30 Uhr war nicht hergerichtet. Nach zwei Wochen Aufenthalt koennte ein late checkout auf Hotelkosten drin sein, war es aber leider nicht. Das Hotel hat den Slogan 'Our new clean is green' Es sollten die Handtuecher nur getauscht werden wenn diese nicht zurueck am Hacken haengen. Diese wurden aber jeden Tag getauscht. Ansonsten sind alle Speisen und Getraenke sehr gut. Das Haus ist auch sehr hellhoerig. Ich hatte in der Nacht immer irgendwelche Musik gehoert.

Overall a terrible experience. The property is mediocre, the service bad and there are lots of hidden fees. - bathroom was dirty when I arrived - the "king" bed was two small beds put together - they a very stingy with drinking water. Only two small bottles per day and they charge if you ask for more - staff failed to follow through on services they agreed to - they charge $40 if you want to bring a guest to the room You\'ll be happier at one of the many other hotels in Westlands

Hotel was okay but in business area Breakfast was nice And rooms were clean but the bathrooms needed to be deep cleaned The only issue I had was the receptionist called Junior who was very rude I had already paid for late check out earlier in the day but when I went to reception to confirm the timings she wanted to charge me for a whole day even after paying Apart from that the staff at breakfast were amazing

El servicio del personal deficiente, los restaurantes con mal servicio del personal que atiende. Tuvimos que devolver la comida en mas de una ocasión y optamos por devolverla la segunda vez y no comer. El baño del cuarto sucio y con moho en algunas partes. La alfombra estaba mojada y tenia mal olor. En fin decidimos no terminar la noche e irnos del hotel. Realmente decepcionante y de muy poca calidad.

Superb hotel in Westland/parklands area of Nairobi. Unbeatable generous breakfast with a variety to die for. Room are spacious and bed was very comfortable. Shower experience was better than going to a spa. Amazing water pressure in shower. Nicely decorated. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

It was the forgetable hotel stay i can imagine. They overcharged me by one night and have syoll not refunded me. Seems to have been calculated because they were very aware that i had already paid for one night and insisted that they will take payment on check out. On checked someanager insisted on checking me out and included the night i had already paid for. Called them from airport when i realised the debit on my card but still procrastinating on refunding me 3 days later. I would urge everyone to keep clear of this hotel

Unfriendly hostess at Reception. Rude as if she would rather be somewhere other than her employment place. Security in the garage wouldn’t let me out, asked me where I was going, and directed me to the Reception who apologized. Expected better from the brand.

I was expecting much more from this hotel, having started before. My son and I stayed too close out a week in Kenya. The time was clean, but here are the issues: -TV didn’t work the entire time (despite 3 calls to fix, nothing happened) - water pools in the bathroom are a relatively short use of the shower - coffee shop sold me a stale piece of cake (my informing them and returning 3/4 slice did not result in any change in the bill or offer for something different!) While none of the above issues are a huge deal, it gives more the feeling of a 2-3 star hotel. Generally, the staff were friendly, but not aware of hospitality. This should not be the case for a Golden Tulip in the Westlands. I mentioned a couple of these things at checkout, but one manager dodged a response by wrapping up his shift without closing the loop with me. The next manager was unavailable when I needed to leave (he also was unreachable by the front desk staff)

Here's a concise breakdown: Hotel: Excellent. Staff are great and helpful. Food is good and fresh. Your room is decent and cleaned daily including fresh towels. The gym is well stocked including a punching bag. Also, there is a staff member always ready to help you with activities such as safaris or visits to the Giraffe Center. The area: Central but less desirable. The street is very dirty and not lamplit at night. There are a few casinos within walking distance but returning home with your winnings might make you feel a bit like a target. That being said, I haven't had a single problem once. Just don't expect to take a nice neighborhood stroll. All told, great hotel with great value for money. Just accept that virtually every time you leave the hotel a taxi is required.

The property was good, everyone who-worked there was nice, helpful and Courteous, the complementary breakfast buffet was very good, the other restaurants in the building were excellent. I didn’t like my first room so they quickly move me to an upgraded room…no extra payment. I will definitely go there again.

Unique about the property is the attention of the staff and the chefs. They truly care about the guests and accommodate your requests. Thanks to Chef Ajay for catering to vegan requirements. Every time I have come to Kenya I have stayed here. Golden Tulip used to be an excellent property currently it's a bit run down in the bathrooms. The caulking, trash cans, etc need some attention.
