Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town

We were there right after the huge Eaton fire,the smell of smoke was everywhere still,the pool and hot tub was shut down,It would be unfair for me to be too judgmental given the circumstances.The breakfast was very good.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and the property was very clean. We had a very spacious room and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and pool.

Very comfortable beds, quiet environment despite being completely booked out. Breakfast was good, staff were great. Hot tub was roomy, pool was clean. Lots of food and shopping options within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking was very tight. Hard to maneuver in and out. Kind of scary having to park so far below as a single female; would have appreciated security guard visibility. Room was nice and comfy and very clean. Appreciate the amenities. Loved the mountain view, especially with the rare Cali snow!

Parking is a little challenging especially if you have to use the room key to get out. The parking should be free. $25 per day is too much.

Good hotel, modern furniture, has laundry and gym, good and different option breakfast, kind and friendly staff

I had stayed at this hotel many times previously, but first time since 2020. Marriott has really let this hotel go. At check-in I was told they were giving me an ADA room to give me "more space." I asked if there was any reason I wouldn\'t want it, and he said "no, everything is the same, just the furniture is reconfigured to give more space." Well, when I took a shower shortly after I found a big problem - the accessible shower was designed so poorly that the water flooded the whole bathroom up to the toilet area (VERY narrow shower and the ADA seats/rails take up most of the area. And there is no curb to stop the water flow). Really uncomfortable for those without ADA needs. Then I realized that the AC was faulty and couldn\'t get very cool (it was a warm night). So I called down to ask if I could move to a regular room. And that\'s when the clerk admitted he lied to me about the room - he said the real reason he gave me that room was because all the other available rooms have completely broken ACs. Plus the spa was closed/broken the 3 days I was there, and I was told it had been out of order "for a while." That\'s an amenity that was part of the draw in booking this place - disappointing that they didn\'t disclose this fact. So clearly Marriott isn\'t performing the necessary maintenance to make this property worth visiting. I don\'t see myself coming back here.

Property was clean unfortunately one of the elevators was broken. It took some time to get down/up to our room. The stairs to get to the 3rd floor wasnt as convenient since i have a weakened knee. Otherwise, place was nice and staff friendly.

Great stay, convenient location for catching the Rise Bowl shuttle. Pool needs some surface work, but still refreshing.

Really enjoyed close proximity to highway and old town, however it was very inconvenient that during my entire stay the elevator to the parking was inoperable and I had to walk with luggage/ bags down to the parking garage. And then only one of the main elevators in building worked. Overall it was “$219” a night. Which at the end it was $282 with taxes and hidden CA fees, and daily $25 parking rate.

Surprisingly wonderful stay, our first at a Residence Inn. Such clean rooms and public areas, in stock ongoing remodeling. Polite and respectful staff. Breakfast was exceptional.

My room had to end up being moved because there was blood seeped into the pull out sofa bed mattress. How is something like that missed by housekeeping?!

Had two bedroom suite - it was in rough condition. Furniture was scratched & stained. No complimentary water. It was very Basic - expected more

We have stayed at this hotel previously on a number of occasions. In the last 6 months it seems that the furnishings and the interior is not as well maintained. The people there are friendly and the breakfast is fair. Honestly their current policy of cleaning room after 4 days of stay is not adequate.

Extremely courteous staff. Very clean property. Room was very clean and quiet (no clunky window a/c unit!): Great breakfast and service?

Do not forget there is no maid service the first 5 days.

This is a nice hotel with a good location. The breakfast was excellent. A lot of items in our room were broken which was disappointing and the pull out bed was particularly uncomfortable.

Air conditioners not working, got a room which I wanted ,then air conditioner stop working.

The air conditioning in the hotel was out of service. It was very hot, and the fan provided was not sufficient.

The couch in our room is showing a lot of wear and will need replacing soon. Breakfast was very good!

The studio suite had an interesting layout that I thought would not work well for my husband and I. In fact it was perfect. The bed is not separated from the main room but having it tucked in the corner allowed my husband to get up and work in the living area while I blissfully slept in. That being said, request a room that does not face the main road and bring earplugs just in case because our room was incredibly noisy!

The a/c is still out! A portable is in the room with a hose leading out the window. On the freeway side so a bit noisier, but that becomes background noise.

We arrived at 3 and they told us the AC didn’t work and we could either have a portable AC unit or cancel the stay “free of charge” it was 93 degrees out We cancelled the stay and had to go to another hotel and have a very different room. They said they sent an email but made no effort to call!

The room was HUGE! Bigger than my studio I love in. It had a kitchen with untencils and dish washing items. Full fridge with freezer. Free HOT breakfast with bacon and eggs on the weekends! What a treat. Staff was very friendly too. There is NO ICE MACHINE but we made our own in the room, that was more convenient IMO. Would recommend and will book another Marriot Residence Inn afain

My ac unit didn’t work the entire stay . So they sent me two portable fans . It was super hot and we were sweating !!!!!

The Air Conditioner in our $400 /night room did not work. Front seat staff was not responsive and offered us a fan. Room was very hot and could not sleep. In addition, housekeeping did not make up room. Front desk staff said they have broken A/Cs in many rooms. Completely dissatisfied. The front staff also said they couldn’t help us because we booked through Expedia.

The heavier set lady at the desk was very rude and not helpful at all. Also, prior to checking in it should’ve been mentioned that the ac had went down in all of the rooms😘. I think for the amount of money you’re spending you accommodate the guest or give a discount . The room was entirely to hot and uncomfortable all day and night

Breakfast was covered in the stay but was not up to the mark as we had in other Marriotts. Most of the time food was not refilled. Even though we waited for 15 mins. Someone spilled Coffee big time and we reported at reception as no staff was in the breakfast. No one came for 10 mins to clean this. This was on Sunday 8 AM.

At 4am I discovered there was no soap or shampoo in my room. I went to the front desk where the person manning it was hiding from a man standing outside the locked front door. When I asked for soap and shampoo they reacted as if I was speaking Martian, wanted me to wait for the Front desk person to return. Told me the soap and shampoo were located in a mount under the shower head. When I said there was neither soap nor shampoo in the mount, they didn't believe me. It wasn't until I raised my voice that the this person opened a drawer and grabbed a wrapped soap bar and a single container of shampoo. So much for hospitality.

My check in was at 3 however there was a huge inconvenience and I wasn’t able to check in until almost 8 and after been told it would only be 20 more min multiple times, I had to use the bathroom lobby to get ready for my event. I wasn’t given a discount for any of the inconvenience.

Incredibly courteous and helpful staff. Literally everyone! Clean property. Well laid out. Bfast included the solid basics. Attended to well by staff. Rooms incredibly comfortable. Will look for other like properties when we travel.

We came here for a music festival. This hotel was very convenient to Rose Bowl shuttle bus just across the street. It had great variety for breakfast and location is convenient to shopping and restaurants. Will stay here again.

Perfect hotel is your attending an event at the rose bowl

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I got a room with my window to the street, it was a second floor and I could hear all the noises from the cars. They should include earplugs

Liked the quiet. Also found the space very comfortable. Didn't think the breakfast was all that good. The fruit salad tasted canned. There was no warm milk for tea. There was a limited selection of tea. The space was quite clean and the help was very pleasant. Hated that homeless men were hanging around outside the lobby doors. Was also nervous in the subterranean parking garage -- if they can be in front of the lobby doors, they could just as well be in the garage.

Great quiet location close to the freeway. The hotel is very classy and I highly recommend if you’re staying in the Pasadena area stay here. The breakfast is more than enough of what you need.

Check in and check out process was fast. Wish there were more choices for breakfast. Didn’t know parking was $35 a night and housekeeping only came every 3rd night unless You request that the come daily.
