Good breakfast reasonable price. Good location easy to metro. States onsite parking but only optioned they offered us was valet parking. Pool room echos badly and its very difficult to hear anything in there. Some clean towels were alreay wet so unclea if they were used/dirty or moist from the humidity.

The positives: The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel and room were clean and inviting. The negatives: Our room was not as advertised when we booked it. It was smaller than the standard rooms as if they converted a storage area. The layout made no sense as we couldnt open the sleeper sofa for our son without moving the dresser. The a/c was insufficient leaving our small room at about 78 degrees. The pool was nice however it was not being heated as advertised and became uncomfortably cold by day 3. The parking is a scam. They charge $60 a night to park in the garage next door. We went there on our own and paid $85 instead of $180.

Booked the hotel for my family for the indoor pool availibility and price but swimming pool was out of service the entire 4 days stay. Oddly, the hotel management saw it wise to schedule a pool maitenance on the highest occupancy days of their week from Thursday all the way to Sunday, the duration of our entire stay! No warning to hotel guests no compensation. I went down in full swimmimg gear to LL2 just to be told by the contractors that the pool was temporarily umaccessible and should be ready in 3 hours. that turned into 4 days. Whats worst is the fact that the Hotel staffs appeared completely uninformed about the status of the pool when asked and were unempathetic about the inconvenience this was causing to my family, my kids. My family as a whole was looking forward to the pool and selected the hotel because of its name brand above other competitors well within the surroundings with pool facilities as well! The manager appeared just as rigid with Zero follow up with my family as I was told by several front desk agents to anticipate. Horrible experience. Never again! to think there was an Embassy Suite by Hilton just around the corner!

Pool isn't in operation year.. The hot water stopped working on a Tuesday..wasn't getting resolved until the following Monday. They did comp Tuesday night and we left wed and went to another hotel which they refunded wed night as well. Still got charged for parking but it is what it is. Elevators also were not fully functional.

We needed a one night reservation and this location was perfect for our needs. The hotel was very clean and in a safe part of the city. Transportation and restaurants were in walking distance. A helpful hint regarding parking. We chose not to utilize the $60 valet parking and instead chose the public garage next to the hotel entrance. That garage was safe, well lit, and cost $40 for our approximately 24 hour stay. Would recommend parking in that garage.

It is more of a health issue. We stayed in Hyatt Place Washington DC/Georgetown/West End. Room number 413. From July 20-23. I was sneezing in the room and then I decided to open the small door where is the a/c filter. And I was shocked. The amount of dust, the color of the filter. It is dated 4/19/25, means it was changed in April. And we are in July. I attached the pics before and after. But I was more shocked when I went to the front desk where I’ve been told that it will be cleaned for next guest. I said absolutely no and asked to send maintenance right away.

There are sooooo many better options in DC; we are actually checking out a day early to stay our last night in a different hotel. The check in process was so slow, the front desk staff is unhelpful (it took 10 minutes to purchase a water and a bottled coffee), the room doesn’t get below 73 degrees no matter what the thermostat is set on, wall light sconces are hanging off the wall, the water pressure is mediocre at best, and the location overall isn’t great (which is my mistake for booking). Spend a LITTLE extra and go somewhere that’s worth it. Ended up staying at the Hilton near the Wharf and it was SO much better! The Hyatt needs a complete maintenance and staff renovation. Love that the front desk lady laughed and said “sorry you don’t like us” when I checked out a day early.

The hotel did not honor our reservation for a double room despite having told us that we would be moved to the requested room the day following our arrival. Sofa bed in the king room was extremely uncomfortable and the springs were coming through the “mattress”. The air conditioning in the room felt like we were in a wind tunnel the entire time with no way to adjust it - had to stuff a towel in the vent. The pool wreaked of chlorine and the breakfast was cold and not a good selection. Lastly, the onsite valet parking was an outrageous $50 a day. The area was decent just incredibly overpriced and full of trendy spots.

Generally it is a good hotel. Room is spacious and clean. Staffs are gentle. However, I felt that the air conditioning HVAC was too loud like someone is using hair dryer in the room or airplane is flying nearby. I turned off the AC before going to bed and the room was still.

There was no internet for the whole stay. When I booked the trip the booking sight did not say that breakfast was extra and that there was only paid parking options that were extremely expensive. The staff at the front desk were very friendly.

Initially, I was given an interior window room on the 2nd floor overlooking the air condition pipes/exhaust. I had to go back down and ask for another room, which they accommodated and put me on a higher floor with “better” view of office buildings.

We stayed for a family visit for 3 nights. The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and the accommodations were comfortable, surprisingly wven the pull out couch. The frosted glass bathroom door was a bit uncomfortable for my mom and husband, but you really couldnt see anything through it. Breakfast was ok, but decent enough for the price.

No free parking even though it said it was included with stay, had to park in a paid parking next door. Staff were INCREDIBLY rude even the bartender at the hotel bar. No breakfast included. Amenities were not explained by staff if they were even available. Homeless allowed to stay outside and harass patrons.

Reserved room on 3/7 for 3/ 29, 30, 31 and 4/1. Came in on 3/29 and they had sold our room to someone else. They just said they were full. No justification on why they did this . Just seemed like a standard practice. Shipped us over to Hilton garden across the street. Next day we went back to get our room and it was still not ready. Told we could talk to the manager when he comes in at 10 or 11. We had a lot planned for that morning so we just stayed at the Hilton Garden (they were great, highly recommended). On third day finally got to talk to the manager. He was off on previous day and was not coming in on that day. He is supposed to be refunding us through Expedia but could not give us any proof of that or the amount coming back.Plus we would have to pay the 1st night parking. Terrible service by what I thought was an above average hotel. If you plan a visit to DC, don’t go to the Hyatt. Go across to the street to the Hilton. Much better service and staff!

I didn't like that your staff after offering me different room, acknowledged price difference and confirmed the difference will be refunded, next day at check out, realized that they made mistake - just said sorry. When claim went to expedia and they got a call, they lied and said that the difference went to early checkin which i never requested. I am very disappointed with Marina, front staff person.

Clean hotel, nice lobby, breakfast was decent. I give it a 3 stars because we booked a king bed and ended up with 2 queen beds. The manager really didn’t care too much . Offered us $15 discount being that it was their fault. Thought that wasn’t enough he claimed that the were overbooked. Meanwhile my sister reserved a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa . She ended up with a king bed for 3 people. So definitely not organized ! We drove 6 hours to get there and arrived at midnight really tired. The front desk said we can go someplace else if we weren’t happy. Smh ! The shower drain wasn’t working well and the shower head either. Breakfast was decent and plenty of choices. Well situated and parking is not included (FYI) website said it was included,,.$50 overnight parking. Seems about right since it is DC . Probably not staying there again. Felt the manager could have been a little more considerate; he was arguing instead of apologizing for their mistakes

I did not meet one polite staff member. There was no WiFi the whole visit. The windows were not good at blocking out noise and the city noise made for little sleep. There were also not great instructions on breakfast and valet. Plus I called the day before to ask about valet service and was told something different by 2 different people.

The hotel staff was nice and the hotel was clean. The area it is in was about a 10 minute walk to Metro lines. We had no complaints about the hotel. The immediate area didn't seem to have a lot of family-friendly dining options in less than a 10 minute walk, which was the only downside.

Great location in the DC area. Very safe neighborhood, it’s right next to the Ritz Carlton. Only about a 10 minute walk to the Lincoln Memorial. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Also walking distance to the circulator bus route. Rooms were updated and clean. The breakfast was actually very good, plenty of selection, which I was very surprised about.

Lovely clean hotel 30ins walk from the Lincoln memorial. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast ($14) is great value as you can have cereal, hot foo, Bagels etc and unlimited juice and coffee. Would definitely use again. Located more in the west end than Georgestown.

The hotel was right in the heart of downtown, close to many things, there's a starbucks in the lobby and another breakfast cafe. Very close to many other restaurants. I called the night before to let them know I was going to come in early, we arrived at the hotel at 9am and dropped off our bags. I gave them my phone number to call us when the room was ready, at 5pm we decided to go back to the hotel because we were tired from walking and an early flight. To our surprise the room was still not ready. Other than the room not being ready in a timely matter the stay was just fine. Breakfast is a plus. The room I requested was spacious. Rooms are a bit older but it was fine for our needs. We had a room facing the street and on the 2nd floor, it did get a bit loud at times. Thankfully we didn't get a car, parking is a bit of a problem, the rates are very expensive. If you park right next door it's way less.

Enjoyed our room and felt everything was very clean. Thought the $14 breakfast was not worth it. It’s basically what you would get as a complimentary breakfast at other hotels. You are much better off going across the street to Call Your Mother Deli or next door to Tatte Bakery and Cafe both had delicious options. I’ve also never stayed at a hotel that did not provide guests with coffee/tea. Those were only available if you spent $14 on breakfast which I find ridiculous. Besides those things I did give the hotel 4 stars because the location was great, we walked everywhere, and the room was clean and comfortable.
