No one at the front desk. Had to phone to get somebody. Were given a room upstairs. We asked if there was a bottom floor room. Was told no. Went up all the stairs. Opened our room door. Somebody was already in the room. Went down stairs. Called again. Someone came. Told him our room had people in it. After a of fussing around he finally said we can put you on the bottom floor. I said we were told there no rooms on the bottom level. He shrugged and said here’s your room. Key. No explanation. We are mid seventies and stairs suck. Not impressed.

Nice historic hotel, clean and interesting. Very quiet room and comfortable bedding. Definitely not a big chain hotel with slamming doors and identical rooms. Right in historic district, parking can be interesting and the old building coming with old 100 year old smell. My son loved it, thought it was an “adventure”.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. The speakeasy was a fun bar attached to hotel. Bed was comfy, shower was hot, and price was reasonable.
