This is an incredibly special hotel. The service is top notch and the room we had was exceptional. The room has so many details that are beautiful and thoughtful. We were on the 1st floor with a courtyard. If you stay in this room, pay the extra €15 and have breakfast in your room in the courtyard. It is one of our most favorite memories from the trip. On the evening we arrived, our room had a glass of port for me and fresh squeezed oj for my daughter, along with pasteis de nata. When we returned after dinner, we had carafes of water and chocolate truffles. No detail is overlooked. I only hope I can return in the future to enjoy this property again.

The most expensive place we stayed on a 3-week car trip in Portugal and Spain, this hotel was well worth its price. It is a beautifully restored elegant old property with extraordinary attention to detail in both form and function. It was memorable and made Porto special for us.

Loved the history of the property. Was in the heart of the action but quiet as well. The staff was very helpful. The room was wonderful with a private courtyard and a tile mosaic from the 15th century. Had port and "nata" waiting for us in our room on arrival. Overall a beautiful facility.

The property is so well decorated and right in the city center. The staff gave us recommendations and checked in with us beforehand so we felt like it was a truly special experience. They had a nice outdoor patio area and delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in Porto and the staff here were a big reason for our amazing trip.

This is a high end hotel with exceptional value; no detail has been overlooked. Simply put, they get everything right every time. The location is perfect in the historic pedestrian center! Our room (8) on the 4th floor was very quiet and beautiful with an amazing ceiling, comfortable king bed, excellent water pressure, bidet and garden access. The heat-A/C is completely silent!! Breakfast was delicious, presented beautifully and customized to our appetites. Our only regret is we were unable to meet the owner/visionary behind this beautiful hotel. If we return to Porto this is the ONLY hotel we want to stay at! Thank you, Marco, for delightful conversation and delicious tawny port and pastel de nata!!

A jewel in Old Town Porto! Beautiful , clean and service was impeccable. So special! They go above and beyond and breakfast with silver and china was such a European touch .. bar and library in living room with cozy fireplace ! Location convenient to everything! Highly recommend!!

Such a unique and beautiful hotel. The setting is perfect for walking to all of the local attractions. surrounded by amazing restaurants and shops but the noise can’t be heard from your room. Staff at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay special, and the rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable We really couldn’t ask for any more in terms of service. The only tiny niggle for me was breakfast- I would have preferred a wider selection of cooked foods and a little more space in the dining room. In spite of this, I would happily return to this stunning hotel

Sehr freundlich und engagiertes Personal. Außergewöhnlich und individuell in der Einrichtung.Sehr zentral,dadurch aber zumindest in den Zimmern zur Fußgängerzone tags und abends bis fast Mitternacht extrem laut. Unser Zimmer roch abends stark nach Lagerfeuer;lt Besitzer kommt dies vom Restaurant nebenan.

Wonderful property and location. However, the room was very humid and would need the help of a dehumidifier. Also, the WC area is not private at all. The door is a see through glass door with a small frosted area. This made it very uncomfortable to use the bathroom with a travel partner in the room. The glass door looks good but certainly not ideal. Because of this alone, I would not return as I think all of their rooms had toilet privacy issues.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Great location for wandering Porto. The staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Our room was beautiful and spotless. the bed comfortable and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Porto!

Hotel was amazing. Unfortunately, there was an issue with air quality. The neighbouring property had a charcoal oven that’s exhaust was being drawn in by the hotel’s air system. Midway through our stay our room smelt like a campfire which dramatically impacted our experience. The air was not acceptable and we had to sleep with the windows wide open on a loud street. The hotel staff indicated that this is a recent issue and they were looking to resolve. The hotel is simply fabulous it is disappointing our experience was diminished by this issue.

I can’t write enough superlatives to do this hotel justice! It’s immaculately presented and the staff can’t do enough to help you. The room was the best we’ve stayed in. The location is perfect as it’s right in the centre of Porto but even being in a city-facing room, closing the balcony doors was enough to block out any noise. Breakfast was made to order and very tasty. We hope to return to Porto and when we do we will certainly be staying here again.

The best hotel I have stayed in. Small boutique hotel with exceptional personal attention. Breakfast was top notch. All hotel is top notch, modern with retro style. Hotel's location is in the heart of the old town, next to multiple restaurants and shopping street.

Two couples traveling together found this hotel to be a wonderful option for Porto. The bed, linens, shower were all of high standard. We appreciated the sound-proofing - the location on a pedestrian street might have been loud, but we didn't hear a peep. Made to order breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location was perfect for exploring Porto. We loved our stay at this wonderfully-managed hotel and encourage others to make this choice!

Absolutely beautiful hotel right in the centre of Porto, within walking distance of all the main sights. The building is ancient with antique furniture, comfortable beds and quaint terrace/patio. Very friendly staff. Only slight criticism is the breakfast which you need to chose in advance and which we both found quite difficult to do from a long list. The food itself was delicious.

I can’t write enough superlatives to do this hotel justice! It’s immaculately presented and the staff can’t do enough to help you. The room was the best we’ve stayed in. The location is perfect as it’s right in the centre of Porto but even being in a city-facing room, closing the balcony doors was enough to block out any noise. Breakfast was made to order and very tasty. We hope to return to Porto and when we do we will certainly be staying here again.

An amazing hotel a tribute to the rich history of the country. The owners Marco and Ana along with staff Ana and Sergio were the friendliest most attentive ever they made the trip exceptional!!!! They are are also dog friendly and our dog Phoebe was treated like a guest. Stay at this boutique hotel you will see how special it is! Also the breakfast is exceptional!!!! A perfect little hotel in the perfect spot. Easy access to everything - all the spots one would like to visit & great restaurants. The staff are truly wonderful. The property is so well decorated and right in the city center. The staff gave us recommendations and checked in with us beforehand so we felt like it was a truly special experience. They had a nice outdoor patio area and delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in Porto and the staff here were a big reason for our amazing trip.

Me and my wife spent four nights there one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Staff was great about communicating on arrival details and even made dinner reservations for us before we checked in. Our breakfast was personally prepared every morning and the staff overall could not have been more helpful. Stay was a 10 out of 10 will definitely stay here again if Porto.

The location was ideal and central to everything in Porto. Good restaurants right outside your door, live music, quaint shops makes this location super convenient. This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the historical area of Porto. Very good location for seeing all the wonderful sights. Wonderful restaurants close by. Very peaceful in the mornings watching the sun rise over the buildings from the balcony. Staff couldn't do anymore for you. Very accommodating. Felt very safe in this hotel. Such a unique and beautiful hotel. The setting is perfect for walking to all of the local attractions. surrounded by amazing restaurants and shops but the noise can’t be heard from your room. Staff at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay special, and the rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable We really couldn’t ask for any more in terms of service. The only tiny niggle for me was breakfast- I would have preferred a wider selection of cooked foods and a little more space in the dining room. This is a high end hotel with exceptional value; no detail has been overlooked. Simply put, they get everything right every time. The location is perfect in the historic pedestrian center! Our room (8) on the 4th floor was very quiet and beautiful with an amazing ceiling, comfortable king bed, excellent water pressure, bidet and garden access. The heat-A/C is completely silent!! Breakfast was delicious, presented beautifully and customized to our appetites. Our only regret is we were unable to meet the owner/visionary behind this beautiful hotel. If we return to Porto this is the ONLY hotel we want to stay at! Thank you, Marco, for delightful conversation and delicious tawny port and pastel de nata!!

The only issue is that the doors to the shower and the toilet are frosted glass that are not fully frosted and the toilet door is not sealed. Also, there is a corkage fee to have drinks in the room.
