Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Marlborough

First time staying at this hotel and we will definitely stay again. The hotel was quiet, plenty of parking and nice facilities. Rooms were neat and clean. Restaurant was nice. Only complaint was that the hotel bar closed at 10pm on Saturday night. Should be open later.

Very nice hotel for a one night stay. It is located in a business park, a block away from all the shopping and dining you could want. Nice rooms and beds. The one extremely unpleasant part of the stay was being told of a $10 parking fee to self park my car in a large parking lot. When the desk staff told me that,I asked her why I need to pay to self park in a lot with at least 300 empty spots. She told me it is a new Hilton policy effective June 1 at all properties. I made my reservation well before June 1 and did not know of the policy. She let me know she can waive the charge as a 1 time courtesy, I thanked her and we proceeded. Then another woman came out and proceeded to lecture me that all the tourist location properties charge for parking, and that the fee is like an extra tax. I countered with the fact that we are in the middle of a business park and the tourist attraction locations are fenced, secured and staffed with valet, also something cannot be "like" a tax, it's either a tax or a fee, you cannot misrepresent. She sarcastically said "It's just an example". I told her it was a bad example. Other than that, nice stay.

The pool was very chilly.

Hotel was really clean and quiet, very new feel to it. Price wasn’t terrible considering it was a holiday weekend. Good proximity to the places we needed to be - almost anything you want or need is 10 to 15 minutes away. The only reason they didn’t get a 5 star rating is because of the daily parking fee. There is absolutely no reason for it. It could deter me from staying there again. Additionally the breakfast price is high. Sometimes you just want a quick muffin or bagel and that shouldn’t cost $17 flat rate.

Let me just start out by saying I’m ONLY writing this review because by the end, we were all pretty fed up. For almost $700, I expected so much more than a mediocre hotel stay with broken ice machines and less than subpar WiFi. Problems with our room: Incredibly foul bleach water smell, potent for the first two days of our stay. Shower temperature was inconsistent. Luke warm some days, cold others. A lamp we had didn’t work the entire stay, I ended up having to call when our main hotel light stopped working. They called a guy to come fix it. Loose fixtures to hang towels.Conditioner and shower gel were empty when we attempted to use them. Problems with the hotel: it’s a money grab. Breakfast is NOT included. It’s $17 per adult if you want breakfast. The only thing that’s “free” is cold coffee. The heated pool is not heated- in fact it was freezing. After someone came to “turn on the heat after 20 minutes, we gave up after waiting for 45 minutes and it was still freezing so we didn’t use the pool for our entire stay. We couldn’t go outside and use the outside tables and chairs because of “ground bees”, there were signs everywhere and my daughter (who’s allergic) was terrified to go outside every day. They charge $200 for incidentals (though I received it back pretty quickly after we checked out), but they don’t tell you that it’s a $200 charge when you check in. The “free” WiFi was for their “standard” WiFi which is awful and inconsistent. I will not stay here again. Ever

They should have notified us that the pool was closed. We would have chosen another hotel. A discount should be rewarded

Clean rooms, easy parking and easily accessible, and a classy cozy lobby and environment.

The front desk staff was personable and very nice, very accommodating. I LOVED that you had a Peloton. Everything felt very clean. I’d absolutely stay there again. Loved also that you were pet friendly.

$10/dy parking for an enormous empty parking lot and no other options is ridiculous. The bathroom fan was broken. There were only two coffees and three cups for two people. With housekeeping every other day this is not enough. There were only two other cold cups. For the price of the room this is not good. The lobby was nice and the restaurant was excellent.

I liked the fitness center. Great equipment. I didn't like that the shower didn't drain. Turns out the hair hadn't been cleaned out. 😳

Didn't like the $10 a day parking fee. Doors to the rooms slam and are very loud. Ice machine on our floor doesn't work. Bathroom has hair from other guests still on the toilet and shower. Shower is a bit dingy looking. Water pressure is awful. Toilet paper that is in bathroom is about a quarter of a roll.

One of the cleanest, most comfortable hotels we have stayed at. The bed was super comfortable, the room and whole hotel was so clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

The room was dirty and smelled like a zoo. The room service did not exist. I rang several times for food, and had to finally go down to order it in the hotel restaurant. The food was disgusting. I wasted my money and left it uneaten. I was afraid to touch anything the room was so dirty. The sheets were wrinkled like someone else had slept in them. Luckily I bring my own sheets and put them on top. I could not wait for the night to be over so I could get out of there.

Newer property, with nice amenities. Delightful helpful staff. Will definitely be back!

Every time the person(s) above got in or out of bed there was a weird cracking sound like concrete bits under beam that kept crunching, sometimes 30 to 40 times per hour.

The property was great and perfectly located. The only bad thing was the noise. We could hear people stomping around above us until after midnight.

Clean and convenient. Food available. Not welcoming. I don’t even think they asked our name - just took id. Also sign saying they would be back in 5 mins. We waited around that. Front desk person seemed miserable. Maybe they were dealing with an unpleasant issue.

We had a problem with the room. Malisha (I think this is the name) from the front desk helped us. She upgraded our room and gave us free breakfast. Highly recommended.

The hotel is convenient due to its location and safe surroundings. I loved the daily walks I was able to take. However, the staff needs further training in customer relations. After experiencing repeated disturbances very early in the morning on two consecutive days, I approached the front desk requesting a resolution. Instead of a sympathetic hearing, I felt I was dismissed summarily. It became clear to me that the staff was not trained in how to handle such situations without antagonizing the customer.

It was a clean, centrally located hotel for our trip. The staff was friendly and extremely accomodating when our flight was canceled due to weather. The only con was no housekeeping service.

The staff here were terrific. Very understanding and accommodating. Accidentally booked two rooms. No problem. Arrived late for breakfast. No problem…we will feed you. Wanted to check out a day early after our team was bounced out of the tourney. No problem. I would recommend these people above any hotel in this class where I have ever stayed. Keep up the great tradition of customer service!

The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The room was clean and large. The property was quiet and close to everything- very walkable.

It was very nice. Not alot of night life, the bar closes early. There is nothing around the hotel, 5-10 minutes to drive to any restaurants. There are other hotels much closer to food and any activity you want to do. Lots of shopping close by.

Beautiful hotel. Really quiet are tucked into an office park. No walkable restaurants but several options are a short drive away. If going to Boston, stay here and take the Southborough train into the city. Easy drive to the station. The city of Boston is very walkable and the trains are easy to navigate.

Ez to get to, close boston without the rush of traffic. Very clean.

Staff was great. Breakfast was ok. Hot food was acceptable but the eggs were dry and there was no 100% maple syrup for the French toast. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I wish for the price they actually cleaned the rooms every day instead of every other. And there was no recycling, which was disappointing given that the claim that only cleaning the room every other day is to help the environment.

Good experience during the stay. The restaurant/bar only had one person working so food took a decent while. Otherwise good food and drinks. Rest of the stay was great.

First we were disappointed with the food selection. My daughter has dietary issues and they had no rice, and then she asked for maugerita flatbread wo Sage and they couldn’t do that! So they tried hard to accommodate her with grilled chicken, but it made her sick anyway. The cheeseburgers were good though. Disappointed with the waffles for breakfast. They are frozen and put in microwave!! But the omelet I had was good. The coffeemaker in the room stopped working. It kept asking for a pod even though there was one in there. Tried a couple of times, and gave up. The sofa bed has something broken on the right side! I sat down and thought I was going thru to the floor! The pool was great and it was very quiet cause there were so few people at the inn.

Staff was very hospitable. Breakfast buffet was very good. Thank you.
