We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. The hotel is very central with the Gran Via a few minutes walk away and a Metro station right outside the hotel. We were given an accessible room with a massive bathroom but the accessability bars etc didn't bother us since we were just there for a few days. The breakfast was incredible with a huge selection. Everything was very tasty and fresh and well worth paying extra for. The public areas were kept spotless and the scent being pumped through the reception area is absolutely incredible. We visited the indoor pool and its does the job but nothing spectacular. The only niggle we had was the sound/vibration of the Metro which seems to run right under the hotel as well as the traffic outside. We were on the third floor so maybe its not so bad on the higher floors but the sound was enough to wake you up.

My wife and I stayed at Barcelo Torre de Madrid for 4 nights starting Oct 9th . Prior to booking there was no mention of concerts happening every night of our stay right outside the hotel in the Plaza de Espana . On Saturday Oct 10th my wife and I were coming back to the hotel at 930pm and walked down the Gran Via which is one of the main roads in Madrid . As we got closer to the hotel you could see a large crowd had gathered in the Plaza and the intersection right outside the hotel . My wife decided to stay put as she does not like crowds but I thought I could get through to the hotel entrance . As I got closer the crowd got thicker and eventually I was shoulder to shoulder with young jacked up concert goers and I had nowhere to go . I am 70 years old and it was obvious I was a tourist and did not belong but there I was in the middle of it all . It took me 2 hours to make my way about 25 yards in total through the crowd as I got cursed and pushed I did manage finally to get to the front of the fencing where I flagged a police officer to let me out . There was no access to the hotel entrance through the crowd ! When this was brought up with David the manager he simply said they had no idea that the crowd would be so large and also blamed the police for putting up baracades blocking the way to the hotel entrance . Wow 5 star hotel that has no idea what impact the most popular concert of the year would have on its guests . Yes David it was everybody elses fault but yours .

A localização é muito boa, principalmente para quem finaliza uma viagem e quer ainda fazer compras. O hotel fica em um edifício que não é próprio, mas sem dificuldade para entrar na portaria correta. O café da manhã é excelente, muito variado e saboroso. Já em relação ao quarto, não tinha um cheiro muito agradável ao entrar . Não sei se a limpeza não era bem feita , ou se o produto de limpeza não é de boa qualidade.
