Wij hadden een zeer ruim en schoon 3-kamer appartement (RSC1) in de Royal Sierra dependance gekregen omdat we een kinderwagen bij ons hadden en dat gebouw een lift heeft. Compleet uitgeruste keuken met o.a. vaatwasser en wasmachine. Zeer ruim balkon met ligbedden en zijwaarts zeezicht. Alles wat je gebruikt van de koffie, thee en ook de vaatwasser tabletten wordt regelmatig aangevuld, wat een service! Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De shuttle van en naar het vliegveld is prijzig maar zeker aan te raden als je kleine kinderen, een kinderwagen en veel koffers bij je hebt (wel vragen om de child seats, dat geldt ook voor kinderbed en kinderstoel). Het indoor zwembad is wel degelijk verwarmd, maar heeft geen ondiep gedeelte voor hele kleinjes. De kinderen mogen niet in de Jacuzzi en badmusten zijn verplicht (verkrijgbaar bij de receptie). Het hotel terrein is afgesloten, de toegangshekken gaan open met je kamerpasje, dat geeft een veilig gevoel. De gym is niet groot en per uur laten ze max 5 personen toe, één dag van tevoren reserveren. Wij vonden de massages prima en niet duur. Het hotel ligt dicht bij het strand en de boulevard met de gezellige eettentjes. Ook dichtbij (loopafstand) is het Paloma park met grote speeltuin, ideaal voor de (kleine) kinderen. We hebben hier een super vakantie gehad en zouden het zonder twijfel opnieuw boeken.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions, and each time we arrive we remember why. The rooms are well equipped, with a clear drive towards recycling and sustainability. The hotel staff could not be more friendly, and the hotel facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor pool amongst the main attractions. There is lots to in the surrounding area, with numerous great restaurants and bars on the doorstep. A fantastic place to stay.

Veldig bra opphold, vi har også vært her tidligere. Sentralt beliggende nær strand. Veldig bra renhold, drikkevann fra egen spring. Godt utstyrte leiligheter, men stor forskjell på beliggenhet i forhold til sol. Man må betale ekstra for bruk av trimrom, minigolf køller og innendørs oppvarmet basseng.

Pros: The customer service was above par. The apartment was nicely furnished with a great balcony containing loungers and a patio table and chairs, communal pool, onsite store, onsite restaurant and a miniputt. Cons:There are no Elevators and quite a lot of stairs. Even to access the apartments on the main floor there are three small flights of stairs so quite difficult to carry luggage to the second and third floors, especially for the seniors. There is a daily surcharge of 2 euros per person for a pool towel which can be costly for families and a daily surcharge of 5 euros per person for the indoor pool. Overall, I quite enjoyed our stay at the Sahara Sunset.

The hotel was close to the beach and it also had a good pool and spa the nights where quiet and relaxing having a supermarket was also a good idea and the ping pong table was also fun for everybody. The staff and the reception where nice to and finally the help for the luggage was really useful

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the apartment spacious and the kitchen well equipped. Our daughter really enjoyed the kids' club - which doesn't have activities every day though, so check the schedule before making plans if you want to use it. The only downside was the loud traffic right outside our otherwise really nice and big balcony (we were on the ground floor and often had to pause the conversation while cars passed by). I would definitely recommend this hotel for families.

Been at the Sahara Sunset for about 15 years (time share) great apartments , so clean and well equipped all with a balcony with table chairs sunbeds ,kitchen but always eat out . Great pool sunbeds ( if the bed if not used for a hour any towels are removed to stop hogging them all day)restaurant on site from early till late catering for all tastes , entertainment on most nights , gym , spa etc 5 min walk to the beach which is all sand (life guards on the beach) 10 mins to main town a quite area good for family not for party goes

Apartments are amazing . Very spacious , filtered water on tap , tv has English channels including Disney Channel. Full kitchen with washing machine , dishwasher microwave coffee maker etc. balcony has large table and chairs and private Sunbed’s . Location is perfect , right in middle of Benalmadena coast . Marina is a nice stroll away . They have 2 pools and an indoor pool . Sunbed’s can only be reserved for one hour so there was beds available at Al times of day and this was start of July when apartments was full . Couldn’t fault it . I have stayed in loads of different apartments but these are by far the best .

Property was very clean and spacious, it had everything we needed and very close to bars, restaurants and the beaches Only one thing i would highlight, there was one pool guard who really rubbed folk up the wrong way with his unpleasant manner re taking towel off beds. He would go round placing paper notes on bed to warn people if not back in 30 mins they would loose their beds. You could be in the restaurant that the pool having lunch and he would still do it and not be pleasant about it. I would most certainly understand if the place was extremely busy but there were plenty of sunbeams free

Det var et dejligt hotel, med madder af aktiviteter man kunne deltage i. Poolen var fantastisk, og det var altid muligt at få liggestole. Rengøring kunne dog godt være bedre, der var kun rengøring mandag og onsdag. Og selv der kunne det godt gøre bedre, men alt i alt et skønt hotel med venligt personale.

Perfekt ställe för familjer i ett lugnt område. Fräscha rum, i vårt fall 2-sovrum, med sköna sängar och bra kök. Vi kunde gå från terrassen ner till poolen. Helt perfekt. Ligger kort promenad från medelhavet och en stor härlig park. 10 minuter från hotellet ligger en stor mataffär Mercadona (stängt söndagar). Lite gömt på hotellet ligger en andra pool som är lite lugnare och lekhörna till de mindre barnen. Inte imponerad av restaurangen men finns andra restaurangen i närheten. Kan varmt rekommendera hotellet för barnfamiljer.

We only stayed one night on our way to the airport for our journey home as a family of four. Everything was perfect with regards to location and accommodation. Easy walk to the beach and lovely promenade; marina; restaurants and nearby park. Our two-bed accommodation (OEG) was of a very good standard, fully equipped (nothing additional required) and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and lounge area. TV had four UK channels. Lovely large walk-in shower with great water pressure. Patio area was sunny and spacious, being just to the end of the pool area it felt private. The patio furniture is some of the best we have used when staying in comparable resorts in other locations - super comfortable mattresses on the sun loungers! Loved the sun awning which could be rolled in/out for sun/shade to enable sitting out in the sun without getting too hot or needing to sit inside the apartment to escape the intensity of the sun. Great little on-site supermarket. Our guest experience at check-in was outstanding. We arrived early and then asked for a late check-out due to our flight time home - Thank you all for your assistance and the accommodations you made to enable our request, please know we were very appreciative of your actions. WhatsApp messaging is a great idea also! The excellent, friendly and funny customer service experience on check-in will definitely impact our future decision on where to stay when we are next in this area. Memorable - Highly recommend.

Just one criticism. Our balcony wall was so high that we could not see the sea or pool when sitting on it. Other balconies were lower or the top part had a railing and you could see around that. We could have been sitting anywhere miles from the sea for all we could see. Otherwise, very good.

Great location with decent facilities, however let down by advisement of chromecast that did not work, so kids had to watch local TV channels after dinner. I was left with watching the iPad at night which wasn’t ideal. Staff at reception were great and speedy when booking taxis. Check in was slow and could be improved.

Pros: The customer service was above par. The apartment was nicely furnished with a great balcony containing loungers and a patio table and chairs, communal pool, onsite store, onsite restaurant and a miniputt. Cons:There are no Elevators and quite a lot of stairs. Even to access the apartments on the main floor there are three small flights of stairs so quite difficult to carry luggage to the second and third floors, especially for the seniors. There is a daily surcharge of 2 euros per person for a pool towel which can be costly for families and a daily surcharge of 5 euros per person for the indoor pool. Overall, I quite enjoyed our stay at the Sahara Sunset.

Apartments are amazing . Very spacious , filtered water on tap , tv has English channels including Disney Channel. Full kitchen with washing machine , dishwasher microwave coffee maker etc. balcony has large table and chairs and private Sunbed’s . Location is perfect , right in middle of Benalmadena coast . Marina is a nice stroll away . They have 2 pools and an indoor pool . Sunbed’s can only be reserved for one hour so there was beds available at Al times of day and this was start of July when apartments was full . Couldn’t fault it . I have stayed in loads of different apartments but these are by far the best .

Long wait at the on site restaurant after ordering breakfast. And it really wasn't busy. Weird arrangement of going up one floor across and down one floor. Hard with luggage as one leg had no lift. The room had excellent AC but we didn't like to run it overnight. When my partner asked for an extra sheet or cover for the bed they said they had none. How strange. Telephone and one wall socket were both without power on arrival. After we reported it both were fixed. The kitchen in the apartment was excellent with fridge freezer micro and washing machine. One of the best. Apart from maybe the bright orange counters. Like an " easyJet" kitchen. ;-) Room was roomy. Huge queen size sofa bed although we didn't use it. Lots of evidence of being as "Eco" as possible. Items in the onsite gift shop were very cheap. A short walk from the beach. We paid wun seexty fyfe per night for two in early June. No breakfast. Seems a lot to me but it's probably about right. Would I go again. Maybe. But wanted to try the Benalmádena Beach hotel close by ( about £30 a night cheaper ) but it was full. Great location with decent facilities, however let down by advisement of chromecast that did not work, so kids had to watch local TV channels after dinner. I was left with watching the iPad at night which wasn’t ideal. Staff at reception were great and speedy when booking taxis. Check in was slow and could be improved.

Have had over 20 years of consistently excellent stays at Sahara Sunset with both family and friends groups. All staff are wonderfully welcoming and accommodating and during my current trip I have received nothing but excellent support and assistance from all concerned at Sahara Sunset (special mention for Caroline on Reception) where my elderly father has been hospitalised here in Benalmadena. Nothing but the highest praise which is fully deserved. I will continue to come back here several times every year whilst I am able !!

Always receive a lovely welcome on arrival to Sahara Sunset. The staff are friendly (shout out to Caroline). They will do everything within their powers to give you an enjoyable holiday. The premises is located a minute away from the beachfront where there are a selection of well priced eateries. There are also bus stops nearby and (street) parking easily accessible. The apartment has everything you could need and comfy beds. They are a ecologically aware hotel too which is a nice touch. Will be back again in the not too distant future.

This property is like a home away from home. I really was not expecting how amazing this place is.. It is an apartment in a resort. Marble floors cleanliness, spacious and most importantly for anyone, well located to everywhere. MRS Caroline Hanssen was nothing but amazing at my check in.

À part une certaine Stéphanie le personnel est très désagréable. Je suis restée 5 jours c était compliquée à chaque fois que j’avais une demande. L’avant dernier jour je leur ai demandé si je pouvais faire mon Check out à 10:30 au lieu de 10h étant malade avancé des enfants ( juste pour avoir un peu plus de latitude) on m’a répondu sans sourciller que ce serait 10€ supplémentaire pour chaque heure débutée au delà de 10h. Que si je ne veux pas payer et je reste quelques minutes en plus ce sera pris sur mon dépôt de caution. Bon j’ai trouvé ca peu convenable étant donné que je viens souvent dans cet hôtel. Donc le départ m’a beaucoup stressée !

We have stayed here before so booked a return trip, found the resort very tired, lots of extra add ons that weren't applicable before and the on site restaurant was shocking! I believe it is now under new management so this could explain the downfall

The people were very friendly. The room was very comfortable. The pool area was nice and we enjoyed lunch on the pool deck. It was an easy 1 block walk to the beach although we had to rent chairs at the beach as the hotel does not have its own beach area. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to get to old town Malaga.

We had the best day at the Sahara Sunset. The staff are also friendly. The room was impeccable clean well stocked in the kitchen and a wonderful space. It was brilliant to be able to have TV in the bedroom as well as in the living room a lovely balcony area with seating and sun lounger chairs. Thank you, Sahara Sunset we will stay again.
