Easy checkin with complimentary beverage. Really nice clean room with great AC. Cute pool. Great access to the beach with chaise loungers, surf/boogie/paddle boards and kayaks to use (even saw some kids sand toys you could borrow). Location is great - just out of the bustle of Tamarindo but a 7-8 minute walk to lots of food and shops. Breakfast delivered to the room each day- our room had a fridge/freezer, toaster, blender, dishes and utensils everything you could need. AND they had an ICEMAKER and filtered water dispenser. Even had a little borrowing library near the pool for anyone who forgot a book to read on the beach. A great property!

Unfriendly and no bar or restaurant

Great property on the beach. A little pricey, but well worth it for the convenience, safety and amenities. The pool is small but very nice. It is not a huge hotel, and the vibe is really nice. We will be back!

We booked both beachfront bungalows for 9 days for our family. We arrived late afternoon and the girl at the desk welcomed us by name and checked us in with no issues. She explained the breakfast options and gave us the form which we filled out and returned to the office. The property is not large with a pool situated on the middle of the buildings. The rooms were great with a small kitchen that fulfilled all of our needs. Never an issue getting a chair on the beach or pool. We walked just about everywhere we needed to go and got a taxi once. The beach is one of the nicest we’ve ever been to and the ocean was warm. Decent waves, we surfed just about every day. The only negatives we had were as Expedia Gold members were supposed to have $10 per day per room credit, which we would’ve used towards our surfboard rental. The girl at the front desk said it was per reservation even though it is clear in my reservation. Life’s too short to argue but they weren’t budging on it. Second complaint is the maid service. They gave us a form that said towels would be changed every three days, that did not happen. The four day my daughter left her towel on the floor and they just hung it up. We had to go request new beach and bathing towels twice. Overall it was a beautiful property and I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Boutique hotel - steps to the beach which connects to the core part of town. Location is perfect. If you stay on the main floor, you enter from the patio door - very convenient. They have a communal BBQ with outdoor tables for dinners. Breakfast is ordered daily and comes to the room. It’s contental so no eggs or meat but there is a full kitchen if you want to cook. They even have a blender to make smoothies. Great for the leftover breakfast fruit!

Staff were super friendly and helpful. We arrived early for check in but they were very accommodating and allowed us to check which was super helpful. Michelle, Stephanie & Deijan were the front desk staff and they were all great. All the staff were. The hotel has access directly onto the beach, secure parking and a lovely little pool. Beds were comfortable and rooms had everything you might need.

This was a lovely well kept hotel on the outskirts of Tamarindo. The property is beautiful and right on a gorgeous beach, but with a shaded area with beach chairs. The hotel staff is especially friendly, the beach area is also staffed. The room was spacious and clean, with a fridge, stovetop and microwave. Breakfast is delivered to your room, which has a patio so you can eat inside or out. Bathroom huge and very clean. Highly recommend!

The resort location is at the best spot on a fabulous beach. No restaurant or bar was not an issue as a large choice of each is a walkable distance, and keeps the grounds very quiet and relaxed.

The Coast Beachfront Hotel was a spectacular place to enjoy Tamarindo, CR. From start to finish, everything was well accommodated and communicated. The hotel team were very responsive, and my accommodations for room choice were respected. We stayed in Rm#115 which personally I think was the best room in the resort! Perfect unobstructed view of the pool & the ocean, surrounded by the beautiful flora & animals. We had our own private patio w/ table & chairs, & although they weren’t technically reserved for us there were 2 poolside loungers right in front of our patio so unofficially we claimed them as our own. Our room was large & the layout was great, w/ the kitchen by the front door & a little window, spacious bathroom, & comfy king sized bed. The cleanliness in our room & around the resort grounds were immaculate. The staff worked hard all day to ensure perfection! The resort is not too large so it never felt overwhelming & quite exclusive, this meant the pool & other amenities (surfboard rentals, free boogie board, beachfront loungers) were never crowded or unavailable. The complimentary breakfast included was fresh & you could always ask for more. The kitchen was perfect we were able to make a number of delicious meals! The resort had a communal ice machine & water filter which was so useful. Being oceanfront meant I could surf for hours everyday with the reasonably priced surfboard rentals from the hotel. I felt safe & secure all the time. We would definitely return! TYSM

Very beautiful hotel right on the beach, with easy beach access (great for laying out on the loungers and watching the sunset), with a pretty blue pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast were delicious and had huge portions. The only downside was the black mold in the shower, the wall below the air conditioner, and the air conditioner itself which was blowing out chunks of black stuff while on.

Our stay at The Coast Beachfront Hotel was absolutely wonderful! I don’t have one negative thing to say about it. The property was beautiful, right on the most beautiful white sand beach, which was never super busy or frequented with vendors. Very clean, well kept property and grounds and with security (never needed) It’s not a huge hotel so quiet and peaceful. The pool was never busy. They gave us a room upgrade which was so amazing! Beautiful flowers, coconut water and a bottle of wine to welcome us! It’s within walking distance to many great restaurants, food trucks and any shopping! The staff were wonderful! Always cheerful and helpful, especially Rosa and Deijan! They were so nice and always able to help with shuttles and all of our inquiries. The included breakfast was lovely and always more than enough. Delivered to your room at your chosen time! Our visit to Costa Rica (from Canada) was a trip we’ll always remember and the Coast Beachfront Hotel was a big part of that, along with the amazing excursions! ❤️ Pura Vida 🤗 Laurie 🇨🇦

This hotel was excellent in every way. The room was super clean. The room we were in had a small little patio with a couple of chairs. The ocean literally a few feet from the hotel! The pool was clean and really never crowded. Short walk to all the amazing restaurants. The security was great as there was always someone watching what was going on at the property The security people super nice and we felt very safe. The best part of this property is the entire staff, from the front desk people to the housecleaning svc and the people delivering our breakfast each morning. We were greeted everyday by our names! They made an effort to really know who we were! We've never experienced that before. Dejan and Ruby were the best! They were so helpful and super nice. The Costa Rican people are some of the friendliest people we have ever met. We will definitely be back!

Excellent 4 night stay, great hotel with all the amenities we expected at a very reasonable rate. Tip, reserve one of the ocean facing rooms if you can!

Want to feel like the King of the Castle? Book the 'Villa' at Coast Beachfront Hotel! About 1400sf of SWEET beach pad- complete with a full kitchen; 2 master suites; several fans- and an ocean view that's right out back! NICE private balcony overlooking the pool...they even bring you great b'fast every morning- delivered to your big family table on the patio- when you want it! Staff is ULTRA nice- they made it a point to remember all our names by the end of the first day! Full security front and back, and great location central to the town and grocery shopping. The rest of the units are nice, too- but the VILLA is our go-to choice! (and the friendly raccoons; howler monkeys and colorful birds are a welcome treat as you relax on your patio and give Thanks!) TRY THIS PLACE!

Started our honeymoon here. Amazing location - quiet and private but on the beach. We left our rental car parked in the lot the whole time and walked everywhere via the beach. Comfy bed, nice room, and breakfast is delivered to your room each morning. Front desk staff was very nice. Only complaint was that the TVs don’t work. They turn on but you can’t stream anything, connect to WiFi, or get cable channels, so they are basically useless. We asked for help and they told us the same thing.

I was booked on the wrong excursion. I informed the office and she basically told me it was my fault with no apology. I fly to Costa Rica to explore the natural beauty and was sent to another hotel resort of a friend of hers. $360 wasted.

From the moment we arrived, The staff was very welcoming. The Hotel is well kept very clean. The breakfast selection in the morning is wonderful. The security staff is friendly and very helpful with the lounge chairs. Dijen at the front desk is exceptional, a true asset to The Coast, he was very helpful with suggestions and directions and always with a smile, I would never hesitate to suggest, The Coast

Staff were very nice and attentive. Property was conveniently located close to food, shopping, beachfront. I asked ahead of time if there was an upgrade available, I was told yes and given the information about the room. When I got there the free upgrade for VIP Platinum was not honored and I was told we’d have to pay the rate difference. Pool was nice.

Yes but there was sand crabs and a Gecko in our room and we asked for our breakfast to be delivered at 7:00 am on our last day so we could catch our flight back to the states and I had to call the front desk to ask for it after it was an hour late

The property is located in a good spot, away from the craziness of downtown but close enough you can walk. The beach area in front is one of the surfing hotspots if that's what you are looking for. Mainly I would say the staff at this place is the best anywhere that we've been in years. They are friendly, helpful and all around amazing.

Convenient access to the beach was a plus. Not close to downtown area, but away from the noise to sleep peacefully at night.

Great boutique hotel by the beach! Well-maintained, clean, and secure with a friendly staff. It’s also a short walk away from the downtown area so it’s quiet and feels private.

We loved the property and its quaintness. Beautifully maintained and the staff was outstanding…….friendly, helpful, professional……full of smiles and made us feel very welcome! Breakfast delivered to our room each morning was a nice touch.

What I think it needs improvement is the breakfast, it is too light, they should include at least eggs and bacon.

This hotel is right on the beach, which is beautiful! It doesn’t have a bar or restaurant but our room had a kitchen. a very short walk down the beach you find will restaurants and beach bars if that’s your vibe. Everyone is helpful and friendly!

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut, direkt am Strand. Alles wir glich gut, Service, Zimmer Lage usw.. Einzig das Morgenessen war nicht auf diesem Level. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war schon dass dies aufs Zimmer gebracht wurde und die Auswahl war sehr Basic. Sonst sehr zu empfehlen.

Literally no complaints — only high praise and gratitude for the most beautiful stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is delicious and brought to your room every morning. Everything is immaculately clean. The location is perfect — walkable to everywhere you’d want to go but just far enough away for a quiet and peaceful environment. And it’s the best, most swimmable part of the beach! I cannot recommend this place enough. Will be back as soon as possible ❤️
