Ananti at Gangnam

Very aesthetically pleasing hotel. The rooms and common areas are really nice. I came across the house keepers once and they were lovely and did an excellent job tidying up. The pools look great but were quite busy with families though I think there’s an hour reserved at the end of the day for adults only. The downsides to the hotel are that 1) the service is lacking. The people at reception were friendly and polite but the hotel doesn’t seem to have staff

Ananti at Gangnam is beautifully decorated and the Cabin U was very comfortable for a family of four. We didn’t get to use the pool, but thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Poissons, the onsite restaurant, and complimentary cocktail lounge. Contrary to the other reviews I’ve read, we had no issues at all with the staff - they were courteous both during check-in and check-out. The only downside to this hotel is that it’s a 15 min walk to subway stations nearby. But we got by just fine with Ubers. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Incredible two story loft. Great tub. Outdoor rooftop heated pool!

The hotel itself is stunning, luxurious and looked exactly like the photos. However, for the price we paid, we were surprised breakfast was not included. It was also hard to navigate around the hotel with the lack of signs to the lobby from level 2. Toothbrush is also extra cost.

The front desk staff are generally not very friendly. While the hotel provides a restaurant for breakfast, the quality and variety of the food are quite limited. The bathroom amenities provided by the hotel are all solid-type products, which can be inconvenient for individuals with long hair. Overall Evaluation: The hotel is clean and offers excellent accessibility to city but the staff are not particularly friendly. The loft-style layout can be uncomfortable, especially when using the bathroom at night.

OVERALL: Disappointing, had much higher expectations at this price point and for what looks like a hyped new opening. Won't stay here again, there are much better options. It's like watching a designer - albeit a very good designer - play luxury hotel. Everything looks fantastic, but behind the veneer it's just not right: SERVICE/STAFF: Feels like they're practising; was greeted and told curtly to "come back at official check-in time, we'll hold your luggage and do your check-in then, bye"; later at check-in was very disorganized, stuff lying around everywhere. They'll milk you for everything, the room rate really just pays for the bare room. Want a toothbrush? Pay. Want toothpaste with it? Pay. Softdrinks? Pay. Want bathsalt? Pay. Any of the amenities: pay. But no hair conditioner, no matter how much you'd like to pay for that. Make sure to bring your own! The stuff that is free, like tea bags, in turn, is the cheapest crap you can get (like Ronnefeldt teabags). HOTEL: Spectacular rooms, absolutely gorgeous. Very comfy bed.  The outside door to the hotel is locked (?!), there's a phone you need to ring...it's a whole thing to just get into the building, very annoying, no idea why feels like a prison, not a hotel.  LIGHT SLEEPER ADVICE: Some lights, like a charger on the nightstand that can't be turned off, some glowing aircon panels, nothing too bad; aircon sound and street noise also okay. -------------------- Nice optics, lacking substance. Please do better.

Hotel was nice, but definitely not a 5 star experience, it’s quite basic for the price with breakfast not included. Gym and swimming facilities are great but you have to pay extra for the sauna. I think maybe it’s priced for 4 people staying, but the beds are small.

Beautiful open loft style rooms. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are spacious, and the rooms and hotel were sparkling clean. The rooms were rather warm being up in a loft and wish it could be cooled down some more. There’s a certain quiet tranquility about the place.

The staffs are undertrained and some of them are even RUDE and ARROGANT, it was the first time we got YELLED AT by hotel trainee and their associate, until their manager came to apologise. It was ridiculous! You can tell the hotel hardware comes with design aesthetics, however, service attitude and their food at restaurant was terrible! Both pools are much smaller than what the photos illustrated (shallow as well, at 1m height) and was very crowded already with small groups of guests. They don’t even have TV in-room (except for their family suite with the highest price package) and their central controlled air-conditioning made the room very warm (keep going at 28 degrees) and cannot be adjusted by ourselves, we needed to complain to the reception until they adjusted the temperature to 20-24 degree. Worth noting that their hotel towels are quite torn, unsure about their cleanliness. Overall experience was BAD!

Overall, a splendid experience for me and my family. Our room was surprisingly large. The beds were on a second floor loft. The toilet with sink was separated from the rest of the bathroom. This is very convenient since we were a family of four. The overall design was cohesive, from lobby to hallways and inside the rooms. The front desk was welcoming and extremely helpful. We’ve stayed at Ananti in Busan and had a similar experience. This standardization is comforting. Ananti Gangnam is walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores. Will definitely stay here again.

No TV. It’s good if that’s what you like.

Couldn’t adjust the air con temperatures myself during my stay, I had to call the front desk everyday to manually adjust the temperature. Very inconvenient if you need to use the toilet in the middle of the night, very long stairs to get to downstairs, could be dangerous for elders or kids. I will not stay there again for this price.

Great staff, great location. Room was nicely decorated. Very noisy at night, room above we could hear loud footsteps on timber steps and dragging furniture every night until 2 or 3 in the morning. Also loud running water pipes in the wall next to beds. Water pressure and temperature was an issue early on but rectified by the engineer turning up the water heating for the whole hotel.

The services of this hotel is unbelievably terrible, the receptionist literally rolled her eyes in front of me when I’m asking her about my booking details! Also, no one gave us a notice that the FAMOUS and SIGNATURE swimming pool is not open for the period we stayed, it’s so annoying and disrespectful to us. Nevertheless, when we asked for room service, it takes ages for them to deliver the services!

For a luxury hotel, the service surely is lacking and was very disappointed even though the rooms are beautiful. The last night I was there, I realized that my headphones were missing. I let the front desk know and they couldn’t care less. I wasn’t expecting a refund of any kind even though the headphones were around $300 but their attitude was unprofessional and quite shocking. My complaint was completely dismissed and ignored and it’s problematic that an employee at this hotel is stealing. This hotel really needs to work on their customer service if they want to live up to their name.

This was the most amazing hotel experience for such an affordable price. The room was absolutely stunning and so spacious. I could live in the bathroom it was so gorgeous. The staff was also extremely helpful in assisting my boyfriend and I with booking a last minute couples massage and facial at an amazing spa within walking distance on the day of. The subway is a bit far but there are bus stops nearby and you can always call an uber. The area has some cute coffee shops and is about a 15 minute walk from Apgujeong which has really nice bars, cute little stores, and hair salons.

Aesthetically pleasing but 0 service for the price your paying the minimum I would expect is to help you with your bags when you arrive

The staff was so friendly! They always went above and beyond for any requests we made. The manager Billy Kim made sure we were taken care of at all times. The location was close to cafes, food and convenience stores. We always felt safe. We loved staying at the Ananti at Gangnam!

立地とシャワー圧以外はいいホテルでした。 シャワー圧はなかなか弱めでしたが、問題なく使える感じ。 立地としては最寄り駅まで遠く、周辺も歩いて行ける距離に色々あるような感じではなかったです。 明洞周辺にしか宿泊したことがなかったので、少し不便に感じました。 しかし、お部屋は広く、所謂映えるという感じ、バルコニーもあってとっても開放的でした。 スタッフの方も親切丁寧で、英語の発音が綺麗な方が多く、こちらが申し訳ないくらいでした。日本語対応いただける方もいらっしゃいました。 最終日スーツケースを預けて最後の最後までお買い物し、ホテルに戻り再パッキングし、再度預かってもらいご飯を食べに行きましたが、何一つ嫌な顔せず対応いただけて、とても助かりました。 またいつか泊まりに行きたいホテルです。

So yes the rooms are unique, the pool beautiful but the property is on a boring artery. The interesting part of Gangnam is a 12 minute walk away.

I really like the hotel's facilities and service, but I had trouble checking in because taxis didn't want to enter the underground entrance.
