Beautiful and huge room. We stayed at the annex building a couple mins away from the main hotel, and it was great. Very friendly host as well, would recommend to travellers going to Gyeongju. Do take note that the room on the annex is on the 2nd floor (stairs only), so for those who need easier access, the main hotel area might be better

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Soi Hanok. The host got in touch with me a day before our arrival and gave clear instructions on where to park our car and how to get into our room. The room looked exactly as pictured and the whole place was very clean. Our bathroom door was locked when we got in so I messaged the host and she came right away to fix it, which we appreciated. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, electric kettle and snacks. They also gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine, cup noodles for snack and bottles of water in the fridge. The room had a great Bluetooth speaker that we enjoyed having. The only downside was that the room was a bit dark, would’ve liked to have one more light stand in the entry room because it gets pretty dim with just the overhead lights on. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and loved that we were located right in the center of where all the restaurants/cafes/landmarks are. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend!!

This property was spotless, comfortable, and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and looked like it was recently redone. The location is fantastic, close to the ancient burial grounds, restaurants, and shops, Our hostess met us on arrival, walked us through the property, was quick to answer questions, stored our bags, and called us a taxi. I would highly recommend a stay here.

とても綺麗で清潔な宿でした。清掃も隅々まで行き届いています。オーナーの方もとても親切で、周辺の観光スポットを丁寧に教えて下さいました。宿の場所は大変便利な場所にありますが、静かで、落ち着いた時間を過ごすことが出来ました。今回慶州、釜山と旅をしましたが、街も宿も素晴らしく、慶州で過ごした時間が旅の一番の思い出となりました。本当に素敵な時間をありがとうございました。

셀프체크인이었는데 체크인 전에 찾아가는 길까지 자세하게 문자로 보내주셨고, 경주 다니면서 한옥카페들 처마마다 거미줄 잔뜩 있는거 봤었는데 숙소는 정말이지 먼지한톨 없이 깨끗해서 놀랐어요. 지어진지 얼마 안된 것도 아닌 것 같았는데 진짜 깨끗해요. 한옥에 잠시 살아봐서 관리가 어렵다는 걸 알거든요. 공간이 소중하게 다뤄지고 있다는 느낌을 받아서 저도 조심해서 사용했습니다.

Stay here! This was the most pleasant and memorable stay of our trip in South Korea. The owner was so thoughtful and accommodating. They even left us a bottle of champagne. The room was beautiful, spacious, and charming. The floors are heated, and they also provided a delicious Korean breakfast for us. Another perk was there were cute kittens playing in the bamboo that the owner takes care of. The location is perfect and central. We are so glad we booked this hotel.

This was a wonderful location. The host was extremely communicative and reached out early to make sure we were able to find the location. We arrived slightly later in the evening and she came over to show us inside and explain various details about the stay. The location is quite secure with multiple electronic locks. The room I stayed in (Challa) was clean and charming. The renovations done by the host kept the original charm of the housing but also provided many modern comforts such as thermostat-controlled in floor heating, AC for the summer, a spacious and clean shower, and a separated bathroom. The room also contained a sink, fridge with some free water, a TV, a small table with cushions, a complementary bottle of wine and wine glasses, and some cup noodles and tea. As it was cold during my visit we greatly appreciated the heating and were comfortable sleeping and chatting in the room. Between the consideration of the host and the charm and comfort of the room itself, I would happily recommend this stay to anyone looking to experience a Hanok Stay and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Gyeongju.

Near-flawless luxury hanok stay in central Gyeongju, close to all the amenities and sights of the town centre. Gorgeous views over hanok rooftops to the Daereungwon tomb complex. Su provided a friendly personal greeting on arrival in good English. She also offered a delicious complimentary Korean bento box for breakfast. We appreciated the small touches, like top-range Korean brand Terarosa coffee and Osulloc tea. The property was clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom and shower spacious and modern. More than enough towels provided, including large Western-style bath towels. The only drawback was the water was never hot enough for a good shower. Good wifi and a massive smart TV, although the room layout meant you couldn’t watch it easily from the sofa. My parents visiting from Sydney had a great time, and I plan to come back next year from Seoul with my wife and daughter.

Sori Hanok Stay is beautifully designed and well maintained. The zen like suite has plenty of space with a balcony/terrace, and heated floors. The bed was nice and firm. The area surrounding the property was full of nice restaurants and shops. The welcoming gift of sparkling moscado and ramen noodles were a nice touch. I highly recorecommend this place when visiting Gyeongju!

This was a wonderful stay: the room was gorgeous; the bed was comfortable; the floor heating worked like a charm against the cold winter temperatures; the host was friendly and provided a delightful Korean breakfast; and it was generally a great experience. I’d stay 3 nights instead of two to allow for wandering the beautiful streets. Everything that we wanted to see was in walking distance but another day to head out to Pohang for the spacewalk would have been ideal too. Location was excellent, our host went out of her way from chatting to the taxi driver en route to the hanok, providing a delicious delivered breakfast, suggesting restaurants- both of which we ate at and loved, and arranging a big taxi for our departure (our cases were too big for a sedan.) I’d been recommended Soi Hanok by a friend who’d stayed there and I’d also recommend it. A great stay in a great town with wonderful hospitality.

Very nice stay. Highly recommend if staying in gyeongju. Host is very responsive (make sure to download WhatsApp beforehand) and host is very accommodating. In our trip, host provided traditional Korean breakfast meal for our entire party delivered to our room in the morning! It was a nice surprise to our visit and made it even more memorable.

Amazing experience from arrival to departure, it just made our brief visit to Gyeongju one of our best so far. The host was very accommodating, the hanok was most beautiful, location was perfect. She even booked a cab for us and made sure we arrived on time for our train to Seoul. We're already planning our next trip to Gyeongju and definitely will stay here again.

Zuallererst möchte ich der zuvorkommenden Gastgeberin ein großes Lob aussprechen. Sie begrüßte uns schon vor Ankunft über Textnachricht und bereitete so den Empfang vor. Das Soi Hanok liegt in den belebten Teil Gyeongju‘s, ohne dass das die Ruhe stört. Das Haus&Garten ist sehr gepflegt und solide gebaut. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Das harte, aber angenehme Bett sowie die sanitären Einrichtungen erfüllen hohe Standards. Das angebotene koreanische Frühstück war geschmackvoll, und die Gastgeberin ist auf Sonderwünsche eingegangen. Alles in allem eine absolute Empfehlung für diese Unterkunft!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Soi Hanok. The host got in touch with me a day before our arrival and gave clear instructions on where to park our car and how to get into our room. The room looked exactly as pictured and the whole place was very clean. Our bathroom door was locked when we got in so I messaged the host and she came right away to fix it, which we appreciated. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, electric kettle and snacks. They also gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine, cup noodles for snack and bottles of water in the fridge. The room had a great Bluetooth speaker that we enjoyed having. The only downside was that the room was a bit dark, would’ve liked to have one more light stand in the entry room because it gets pretty dim with just the overhead lights on. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and loved that we were located right in the center of where all the restaurants/cafes/landmarks are. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend!!

This property was spotless, comfortable, and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and looked like it was recently redone. The location is fantastic, close to the ancient burial grounds, restaurants, and shops, Our hostess met us on arrival, walked us through the property, was quick to answer questions, stored our bags, and called us a taxi. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The owner greeted us herself and was very attentive and welcoming. Comfy stay, delicious coffee, beautiful space! Parking was also available, taking the headache out of finding one in the area.

My only regret was that we could only one night. The hanok was intimate and well-appointed, exceeding our expectations, and it was the epitome of peace. What a delightful experience. Su greeted us and provide a thorough introduction to the space and facilities, and quickly replied via WhatsApp for any questions. I hope to return one day for a longer visit.

We loved staying at Soi Hanok! We wish we had stayed for more than one night in Gyeongju! The property was amazing and cute and right in the heart of Hwangnamdong where all of the restaurants and bars are. Everything is in walking distance, the tombs, the observatory, the bridge and lake! It was an amazing stay and our hostess was awesome taking care of our transportation requests. Thank you!

Amazing place to visit - beautiful traditional (but modern) Korean Hanok conveniently located to all the main sites in Gyeongju. We would highly recommend staying here - much more interesting than a standard luxury hotel. The property is built and maintained to very high standards. Our hosts were extremely helpful and communication ahead of and during stay was excellent. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely beautiful property with the nicest owner! Great location with tons of restaurants and so much sightseeing nearby. Walkable to everything. We booked the Mongseoru suite and it was huge. It felt like we had our own little house. We only booked for one night. Wish we had stayed longer.

I highly recommend Soo Hanok Stay.The accommodation is cozy and comfortable and a flat walk to historic sites.The complementary Korean breakfast was delicious with lots of side dishes to try.The owner is very obliging- I particularly wanted to visit an out of the way tomb and she organised it perfectly for me.

We absolutely loved our stay. The accomodation was very beautiful and in a prime location. There were also lots of adorable cats. The hostess was amazing and even went as far as to provide complimentary traditional Korean breakfast. Would highly recommend!!

Near-flawless luxury hanok stay in central Gyeongju, close to all the amenities and sights of the town centre. Gorgeous views over hanok rooftops to the Daereungwon tomb complex. Su provided a friendly personal greeting on arrival in good English. She also offered a delicious complimentary Korean bento box for breakfast. We appreciated the small touches, like top-range Korean brand Terarosa coffee and Osulloc tea. The property was clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom and shower spacious and modern. More than enough towels provided, including large Western-style bath towels. The only drawback was the water was never hot enough for a good shower. Good wifi and a massive smart TV, although the room layout meant you couldn’t watch it easily from the sofa. My parents visiting from Sydney had a great time, and I plan to come back next year from Seoul with my wife and daughter.

Soi Hanok was the most beautiful place we have stayed in South Korea. Authentic, but modern. It was spacious, light and had air conditioning, which was a must in the summer. Our host Soo was fantastic and arranged vegetarian Korean breakfasts for us each morning. We also really enjoyed seeing the stray cats and kittens who live in and around the property and we appreciated how caring Soo and the staff were towards the cats.
