Highly recommend this hotel! Super convenient for walking or catching public transport, very comfortable, clean rooms, and the breakfast was a perfect start to our days. The gym was great and loved that it was open 24hrs. Will definitely book here again on our next trip to Seoul.

交通の便は良いです。色々なところに出歩くなら明洞より便利かもです。ただチェックインまで時間があり、荷物をホテルで預かって貰いたかったのですが、そのサービスが無くコインロッカーに入れる事になります。まあまあなランクのホテルでこれは初めてでした。コインロッカーはホテル専用ですが、500円ほどです。あと、使った食器はシンクに置いておいても洗ってくれないし、新しい食器のセットもしてくれません。その辺はビックリしました。清潔感はあるホテルです。朝食はつけていないので分かりません。

We loved staying here! The hotel is so clean and new feeling. The location is good to take a quick taxi or about a 20 minute walk to Myeongdong street. The property around the hotel looks like it was destroyed by a fire or something but they seem to be working on cleaning it up and there are nice barricades so you don’t see it when you are walking past. I would stay here again! We used the gym everyday and it was always in top shape. The breakfast was very good! The rooms are small but I think that is normal when staying in Seoul. We loved our stay!

We were unhappy about the policy of keeping the luggage. We reached the hotel after a long cruise trip and we reached early. We had to wait till 3.00 PM for check in. But that is also fine if the room is not ready. But we wanted to keep the luggage in the hotel so that we can go out and have some food. But there was no option to keep the luggage free even though we had booking with them for 2 nights. Only option is to buy locker to keep the luggage. As we were travelling for a long time we had good number of luggage and so we have to but 5 lockers to keep them and that also for a limited time. We traveled so many places in the world but this is the first time we paid to keep the luggage and I personally think this is not right and the hotel should have the facilities to keep the luggage free what all the hotels in other parts of the world do. We were very unhappy about this policy.

New hotel but not ready for prime time. It’s in the middle of a redevelopment area, old businesses being torn down. Limited dining, no Starbucks! Breakfast is good. A bit far from tourist attractions. Access by subway lines 2 and 5, use airport limo bus if you have luggage. Limo bus stops at Kukdo Hotel which is a short five minute walk. Rooms have a small kitchen with microwave and washing machine. ATM in lobby. No pool, beds are good with daily housekeeping.

Overall, the hotel stay was satisfactory. One more thing I liked was using the play lounge, where we enjoyed darts and billiards — it was fun. We also used the golf studio. As a golf lover, I enjoyed the time I spent there during my overseas travel. However, the golf machine was not in perfect condition.

Loved the location and the amenities. Also the rooms were very spacious and new. The gym was nice with showers. The rooftop terrace had beautiful views of the city and Namsan tower. Enjoyed watching the sunrise and the moon set from the rooftop.

The overly glowing reviews seem to be a stretch after staying here. It was ok across the board. Location was ok - walkable to places to see (Palace, stream, night markets) - but it’s in a more industrial area, off the main strip feeling, and was very eerie feeling walking at night. The rooms are definitely not spacious unless being able to touch the table from your bed and having no space to lay your luggage down (let alone two suitcases) is considered spacious. There was a dirty towel not cleaned out of our room, the fan was very loud all night and the light for the fan systems were so bright. I would say this is a 2-3 star rating for the rooms in North America standards. More like a budget motel for the room. It was ok and fine for when you’re out all day anyways, but definitely not luxurious. The working space, gym, golf simulator - all very nice. The front desk was lacking - they didn’t have maps, they gave wrong walking directions multiple times, they struggled to help us call a cab (give extra time for cabs) and couldn’t give recommendations on places to eat, go, etc if looking for a particular vibe. It was pretty meh all in all.

We booked the two-bedroom suite. It had a musty odor when we first walked in. The main bedroom is nice but the second bedroom is tiny - there is barely any space to walk around to the other side of the bed; there is no closet and definitely no space for luggage. The location is not ideal for those who are visiting Seoul for the first time. It’s in a quiet area, empty at night, a bit of a walk to popular attractions. The hotel will not store your luggage for free if you check in/out - instead, they offer coin locker storage for which you can pay hourly. There is a convenience store in the building that’s very helpful to access. Overall our experience was just okay.

We have specifically selected a room with a lot of space, a separate washing machine and a dryer (much better than washer dryer combination). In addition the room had full size fridge-freezer, LG styler (kind of closet that cleans/dries your cloths), microwave/oven, stove, wine chiller - all the appliances were clean, quite new and in great condition. Very practical for our week long stay! The downsides of this stay include bed (extremely hard, not suitable for people weighting less than 80 kilograms: for us 50 and 75 kg it was a torture, all the limbs went numb and we woke up several times every night). The blankets were a bit too thick, stiffening somehow, but pillows were good. Also the fact that they do not offer free luggage storage is a letdown. The lockers (not free) are located close to reception though. The location itself is good, you have to check the surroundings first using Kakao or naver map, don’t just walk randomly.

The staff was very helpful with how to get around and seeing to our needs. The wi-fi in our room was spotty till I mentioned this to the front desk. The technician came to the room within minutes, and the solution was to leave the router hanging out of the electric panel and the closet door open. My wife and I were very grateful and didn’t mind the little aesthetic inconvenience. It was nice to be able to slide the glass partitions for noise reduction to sleeping area if one of us didn’t want to disturb the other. The sleeping area was somewhat cramp to navigate so that took a little getting used to. I would recommend one queen instead of two full size beds. It was also great to have a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the room. The location was great being located about a 6 minute walk to subway. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to friends, family, and colleagues.

Beautifully designed, and relatively spacious for the price in Seoul. However, inexplicably, there was no plug near the head of the bed, which is incompatible with a sleeper who uses a CPAP. I managed a workaround by inverting my orientation, with my head at the foot of the bed. But this is a strange omission for an otherwise well designed upscale hotel.

Beautiful room with luxurious bathroom and kitchen area. Loved the extra touches such as the shoe rack, full size refrigerator with free water daily, and the air dresser. Did not like the fact that the second bedroom did not have a door or even a small closet.

The best modern apartment hotel we’ve ever stayed. Very spacious, bed was comfy, lots of storage space around the apartment, air dresser, nice spacious and modern kitchen, Smart TV, washing machine/dryer, walking distance to tourist attractions and Myeongdong.

The room was fine, but strange. We had a 2 bedroom suite. The master bedroom was partitioned by glass, so there was no privacy. The second bedroom had no door. The kitchen area was nicely appointed and they had outlets that fit USA plugs and USB charge ports. The workout room was nice. Elevators took a long time.

Hotel was very clean. The setup for the two bedroom was interesting where the 1st bedroom had no door. The second bedroom had a sliding glass door so anyone can see in. We book the balcony 2 bedroom suite. Our view was very disappointing as we look down on a pile of rubble structures. Not sure if the surrounding buildings were being demolished or was caught on fire. Either way, our view of the city was ruin by seeing a pile of rubble below. The smell of the air was almost smoke like which was hard to bare.

Front desk was terrible and difficult to understand. I wanted to reserve a taxi for 2 with 2 small suitcases and front desk said it was 120,000 won I questioned and said when I called the day before the front desk said it would be 85,000 won. After talking with front desk he said oh I thought you wanted a deluxe taxi I clearly told him I wanted a regular taxi with the 85,000 won price that was quoted earlier. The he said if I didn’t like his price I could get my own. Besides the front desk everything else was fantastic with the hotel and location was perfect I wish your front desk could speak and understand English better and he more hospitable.

Loved the staff the most! They were friendly, accommodating, and honestly made my Korea experience so much better. The hotel is clean and high-tech. Even though I'm Korean, all the staff were fluent in English, so foreigners should feel comfortable staying here. I would 100% come back and stay.

I can not recommend this place enough. The staff was A+! We had some issues with our dryer and they would run to fix it. Always leaving us bottled water and slippers everytime they cleaned our room! They were so helpful and even arranged our airport pickup. I will say this place was amazing! Staff needs to be praised!!!

The hotel name has Myeongdong in it but it is NOT NEAR Myeongdong in an easy sense. You have to walk 5 mins to the subway and then 2 stops later? I think - you're there. it's not a step out of the hotel and boom you're there kind of thing. Know that first. Once you get past the slight disappointment of the location, you are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel room. It was small but still spacious enough to be comfortable as a family of 4. Downside, there is a beautiful kitchen, full fridge, etc... absolutely no kitchenware, No pots and pans, no plates or bowls, no utensils. Nothing -- it was so strange, Luckily we didn't need those things for this particular stay but I DID book this room on the premise of a kitchen as we were traveling with small children so have a kitchen is 99% of the time super useful. The place was super clean. The bathroom was located directly across from one of the bedrooms which is fine but that bedroom didn't have a door so if you're using the bathroom in the middle of night, you risk waking the person in that room up. There was only one TV in one bedroom and it was mounted on a wall that was not conducive to being in bed and relaxing (weird angles). We don't vacation to watch TV but again, when traveling with small children and you have an early evening or something, a movie in bed is often nice.

This hotel is new and the room is spacious. It is like a well managed service apartment, and our were extremely comfortable stay. Our room is equipped with great appliances that top any hotels I have ever stayed. The AC, air purying, fridges, kitchen appliances are all stylishly new. My favourite is the "ironing/drying" cabinet! Location is very strategic between Myeong-dong and Dondaemon (Gwanjang market is 12-15mins walk), and with Gwanghwamun to the North, it is ideal and value for money for the brand new building, spacious room and thoughtfully design and build hotel that ensure a very comfort stay. The only thing is the hotel is within a local electronic supplies zone, full of hardware shops, spare parts supplies for local workmen - so it isn't touristy as you may expect. I would highly recommend.

Stayed for 11 nights for early to mid August. The staff were excellent and always helpful. Room was clean, so much storage space, kitchen had full appliances and more. In room appliances such as washer/dryer and air closet were a major plus given Korean summers are so hot. We were active, walking 20k steps a day, and this hotel was in a great location to access a lot of Seoul’s core neighborhoods and attractions. It is in a bit of commercial area (small businesses) but there are still lots of food options within a 10-15 min walk radius. Subway is easily accessible for longer trips. Our favourite part was that the stream (Cheonggyecheon) is right outside the hotel offering an awesome walk experience. Having a convenience store in the hotel is a major plus for grabbing drinks and snacks. Hotel area is really safe (almost all of Seoul is), and we saw numerous single travellers out late at night without incident. Highly recommend and will be returning.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our 12-night stay at Hotel the Botanik Sewoon! Its location, staff and amenities are superb! All areas are well-attended and super clean. The breakfast buffet that can be purchased is stellar with as much variety as one could want! We highly recommend this hotel! The only criticism is the strange and inconvenient placement of the television in the Botanik Signature Suite. Otherwise, we were very impressed and comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the subway and is a 10 min walk from the night market. The rooms are amazing, with in built laundry units and kitchen. It's fantastic for a family. There is also a convenience store beside the lobby. The breakfast spread is amazing from omelette bar to noodles to friedrice. There is something for everyone. We were pleasantly surprised with the amenities and the modern look. Will highly recommend the place if you are looking for a stay in Seoul
