If I could give six stars I would, the moment we opened the front door we knew this was going to be the perfect base to explore Kangaroo Island. Firstly the location, right opposite the water and a five minute walk into Kingscote town centre. Secondly the unit itself, immaculately clean and well appointed with a large bathroom, two bedrooms, a functional kitchen and dining area and a nice furnished outdoor area with a clothes line as well as a washing machine. Thirdly the off street parking with a garage. Finally the great homely feel as well as two great hosts. Not only recommended but would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very clean, very well equipped, just needs some more relaxing lighting in the living area than the stark overhead LEDs, and a coffee table. Comfortable walk from well stocked Drake's supermarket for provisions if you don't have a car, wonderful to have the kitchen to dine in at night if preferred. Comfy bed, air con. Very good property!

My wife and I treated ourselves on Kangaroo Island by staying at the Villa's on the Bay at Kingscote. We had four night's in villa (5) and everything was perfect. The location of the villas is handy to the shops, hotels and eateries etc. Our villa had it's own full kitchen and laundry with everything in good working order, a garage for the car and an outside area to relax in. Kingscote turned out to be a good base to tour the island from. Well done to Brian and staff for turning out such wonderful accommodation. We can highly recommend Villa's on the Bay at Kingscote for an island stay.

Brian the manager was warm, friendly and very welcoming. The complex where the unit is situated is very quiet and even has its own garage. The unit was very clean and well maintained. It is only a 5 min walk to the town centre and is across the road from the esplanade. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay at this property. Found the property immaculately clean and tidy, lots of room and very comfortable. Only recommendation I would make is to add some more glasses/tableware as 4 of everything doesn’t last very long before needing to switch a dishwasher on or wash up, but this is a very minor issue and certainly wouldn’t stop me from using the property again.

The property was great. Homely and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. One issue was the internet/tv remote/access to pay per view tv. The manager came quickly to try and sort out but it became frustrating to try and use so we reverted to free tv. Mould in shower may become a future issue. But we would happily stay again and promote to others.

Not sure if we were just unlucky with our particular villa plus we never saw the well reviewed/friendly/helpful owner - maybe away? just an unfriendly young woman who never said Good morning nor made eye contact each time we saw her - she never smiled. . Offered no conversation upon arrival with help at where things were nearby. Villa was pleasant but a couple of minor cleaning issues. Especially bathroom basin & shower grout. A bottle of spray & wipe in kitchen would be good. Complimentary breakfast a nice gesture & appreciated. Bedsheet was ripped & pillows were a joke - so thin & old. Everything was a good size except tiny lounge room . Other residents were noisy at times in evenings. We still enjoyed our stay due to its location, great parking/garage & no stairs. Sad about the small things which affected our review.

Our villa would accommodate 4 people. There were only 2 of us and we struggled with the bathroom/toilet arrangement. One room with shower, toilet and handbasin. Very tricky when trying to be ready to leave at the same time. Also lighting over the handbasin was quite dim. That made it difficult for applying make-up. Noisy neighbours were a nuisance on a couple of nights, partying until 4am one night. (Not guests at the Villas)

What a lovely little spot on Kangaroo Island. We were only here for one night but wish we could have stayed for a week! The owners were super thoughtful with milk, butter, water, cereal and coffee - and homemade bread! All the basics and more. Easy to get in and out of area. They were so thoughtful they even thought to give us blankets if we got cold which has not been the norm at some other recent hotels and homes in South Australia. Thank you!

The owners of the property were very accommodating with us checking in “after hours.” They even gave us a loaf of delicious, homemade fresh sourdough bread! House was spacious and clean with a nice patio. Kitchen was stocked well enough for our family to cook dinner. Great location! Perfect for a family! Would highly recommend!!

We stayed at the property for 3 nights with kids and it was great. Step out of the property and there’s the Esplanade. The owner had thankfully stocked jam, milk, vegemite, cereals etc as well which was very handy - there was always food when the kids got hungry at odd hours and most places were closed due to Easter long weekend. Highly recommend!
