good location, close to many things we wanted. good property as well. included breakfast was very good -- made the difference for a couple of unfortunate details: 1 evening bartender was sick so lounge was closed for dining. cable box in our room was dead, no replacement arrived in time for our stay. bathroom fan was also out of commission. those small details were disappointing but not the reason for our family trip. would return in future, recommend staying there.

They called on our way to confirm we were checking in and how many were coming, which seemed like there were going to change the room. Check in was great, quick and no issues. Room was clean, but the lamp between the beds was plugged in and we thought it was broken as there was no knob in it. Maintenance came quickly and fixed which was great. Was the first hotel we’ve been in that didn’t have a security latch on the inside which felt odd. And the room, although clean, was very noisy and you could hear everything all around. Parking is limited and when we went out to get supper and came back we had a hard time finding a spot due to the hotel having reserved parking for the condos in it.

Three day family vacation while touring the eastern provinces. Rooms were excellent, beds even better. Super pool, great breakfast, really nice vacation. But, the sauna never got even warm.

This hotel is extremely dirty. Do not be fooled by the pictures. It appears to be part hotel, part social housing and long term residence. We booked an executive king suite with harbour view. The furniture was odd pieces that were totally mismatched. The bathroom had visible mold on the walls and ceiling. All the hallways were in poor shape with damaged walls and torn dirty carpets. Didnt stay for the breakfast. The staff were accommodating when we asked for the a different room and tried to apologize for the state of the hotel.

Our family of 4 came here for a little Summerside getaway and the hotel was perfect. Very clean and the staff were all so friendly. Staff at breakfast were so friendly and welcoming it was an amazing experience we will defiantly be back.

We stayed two nights at the Loyalist Inn. It was a quaint little place, and we really appreciated the closeness to other amenities. The room itself was clean, but the air conditioning was a little frustrating as it was quite warm, and we weren’t able to adjust it enough to cool the room sufficiently. Compounding this, although out of the hotel’s control, was a concert across the street at Spinnaker Landing that went on until 1 am. It would have been nice to be made aware of this when we checked in. Not being able to have the window open with the sound, and not being able to turn down the AC sufficiently that first night made for a poor sleep. Other than that, our stay was pleasant. There was a car show along one of the main streets that we really enjoyed seeing, and the proximity to a place that served delicious lobster rolls was a bonus!

I will start by saying, the lobby and main areas were nice. While it is an older looking building the rooms and main areas were very clean. It is also very well located for walking around Summerside and driving out to other areas. We were super happy with the complimentary breakfast and if you are gluten free they are VERY accommodating. They even had GF/Vegan toast and a separate toaster/table in the buffet area. They also made me GF eggs/hash-browns when the buffet wasn’t safe. Our main complaints were in the room itself. There weren’t plug ins on both sides of the bed, so if you had CPAP’s or were someone who wanted your phone near you only one of you could. The shower head was broken and the worst shower we have had in a hotel, even leaving aside how small the bathroom was. Worst was the AC, it was set to 19 degrees and you couldn’t turn it down anymore. We were on the top floor in 30+ degree weather and even leaving the curtains closed the coolest the room got was 23 degrees. We opened windows at night (and only 2 of the 4 as two of the screens had holes) when it cooled to get it to 21/22 degrees; however, still not overly comfortable. Overall, an average stay. Worth it for the cleanliness, convenience and breakfast though.

Coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Large soaker tub. Full buffet breakfast was delicious. You won’t leave starving. Lots of parking. Walking distance to the waterfront and Baywalk boardwalk, the downtown and historic district. All you can ask for in an accommodation.

Thee tv wasn't working; the maintenance came in and changed the box. then the fan was extremely noisy and did not cut out; the maintenance guy came in the second time to repair that. It took about 30 minutes after for the fan to cut our after the repair. We were offered another room, but my husband who is limited in his mobility was already in bed and did not want to get up and move things.

I always stay at the Loyalist when in Summerside for work. It's a beautiful spot. I wish the restaurant was open when I'm there, that would be convenient but I believe it opens up in June. Staff was friendly, room was clean. I would definitely stay again and again.

After night 1 of roasting, as we were unable to turn down the heat. We heard from other rooms as well that they had the same problem. In the morning, we reported that our room was unbearably hot and asked for the heat to be fixed. We were told someone would come in an hour—they never showed up. Niggt 2. Between 2–4 AM, a group of people were being extremely loud in the hallway—shouting, drinking, and making it impossible to sleep. We called the front desk *six times* (even though it's supposed to be staffed 24/7), and no one answered. Eventually, we had to go out and confront the group ourselves, which felt really unsafe and uncomfortable. When we mentioned all of this again at checkout, the staff had nothing to say. Just said she would twll the manager, no offer to make it right. Definitely would not stay here again.

Understandable we arrived @ 2:30 Instead of 4:00. We thought we would check for our room. It’s sometimes hard to plan exactly. Down desk told us it was not quite ready, to come back in 1/2. Overall our experience was excellent. The staff were kind, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We did have a small issue with the shower handle breaking in our room but when I went to the front desk to explain what happened, the agent was incredibly understanding and quick to assist, which we really appreciated. The location was perfect for our needs, very close to the rink (we were in town for a hockey tournament) and just a short drive to stores and restaurants. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff at the front desk were great, the good service ends there. They do not provide maid service unless you are there more than three nights. Seems odd given the rates. I had a two night booking. The coffee station had one packet of coffee, 2 sugar packets, and 2 creamers. To me, that's enough for 1 cup. I went into the bar/lounge for a drink and some food. The service here was absolutely horrible. There were 2 servers and only one other table being used. I sat at the bar and the servers walked past my empty glass no fewer than 20 times. Then they both proceeded to sit down and focus on their phones for quite a while.

Great location when attending an event at Harbourfront Theatre and you are from out of town. Has an inhouse restaurant/bar but is also walkable to Evermoore Brewing. Hotel is definitely dated and could use an update. However, it is very clean.

This property is quite tired and is in need of a facelift. The (included) breakfast rated at a price of $25 per person was limited in quantity and selection and was cold. At 9AM most pans were empty and had to be asked to be refilled and were not. A chef selection of some sort of egg pie made from yesterday’s hash brown was also not hot. Granola was provided but yogurt had to be requested. Not a good experience.

This hotel was not my cup of tea. It wasn't very clean. The flushed in the bathroom needed held down in order to flush it. The first night of our stay, the hot water went out. We gave it some time and by the following afternoon, we were being told it wouldn't be fixed until the following day. We asked to be let out of our stay without being charged so we could find a new stay. They didn't want to do it at first but we were persistent so finally they gave in. Their breakfast was a little odd as well. When you sit down for breakfast, they bring over a receipt and require you to put your room number on it. They receipt is for $0 but there is a space to leave a tip which felt very awkward like they were pressuring you to leave a tip for something that was supposed to be free and if you didn't, they had your room number. We weren't the only ones that found this odd. Other families were discussing it as well. We were able to book a last minute stay at some beach cottages. It was much nicer, cleaner, and saved us quite a bit of money. They also had washers and dryers which this hotel's listing claimed to have but didn't.
